Great for quickly rebuilding character decks!

5/5

One of the biggest time sucks from PACG for my group was rebuilding our character decks between scenarios. We use the sleeves solely on our character's cards now so we instantly have them built if we don't find any treasure to swap out. Now we have more time for adventuring. Just a suggestion if you are looking to speed up your setup time.

This one snuck in, it appears... :D

Well played.

I don't play the ACG, but I will definitely find some for these! :D

This is AWESOME!!!

So, I will need to have some of these.

Oh! Oh! Idea for more! Some sort of Harrow pattern/design! For those of us who have an original Harrow deck and want to use it to play the game, but don't want to risk damaging what is apparently a collector's item. :)

The only concern I have with this -- now that there are official Pathfinder sleeves, I now feel the compulsive need to buy enough to sleeve my whole Rise of the Runelords set, and always get more to sleeve each new piece of S&S. I'm sorry wallet... I promise this will hurt me more than it hurts you.

Hmm. Perhaps as a means to "hide" item cards or face cards until their reveal?

Obsidian Entertainment

How many cards are in rise of the Runelords, the character add-on and all the adventure paths? If its sitting at 1000 cards thats $100 for me to sleeve everything.... :(

I think the total card count is 1155, not including any Promo cards.

Keep in mind that you'll want to use *clear* sleeves for anything double-sided: characters, roles, tokens, and story cards.

If the ultrapro\cardsleeves\PACG section of the store had appropriately sized clear sleeves listed besides these it would be helpful for the lazy, paranoid and technically challenged purchasers amongst us..

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

You want this 50-pack or this 100-pack.

Vic Wertz wrote:

Thanks, Vic.

I don't want to push my luck or anything, but any chance it would be easy to provide a "bundle" of sleeve sets (both clear and PACG) with enough for a base set and all expansions? Obviously I can compile that myself, but it'd it were easy to provide a one-click option, that'd be great. :)

I'm not sure how many people would actually do that.... but I can tell you that the complete set of RotR cards, including the 8 promos, is 1163 cards, of which 130 are double-sided and 1033 are single-sided. So a full sleeve kit would be:

1 Clear 100-pack
1 Clear 50-pack
21 PACG 50-packs (on this page)

Note that PACG subscribers get 20% off the PACG-branded packs, while the clear packs are our usual 10% off MSRP for subscribers and nonsubscribers alike.

Cheers, Vic.

Silver Crusade

If I am already a PACG subsriber, will I automatically recieve the 20% off when I place the sleeves in my cart or is there something else I need to do? Thanks.

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

It should just work. (Note that your subscriber benefits don't kick in until your first subscription shipment is sent.) If you've tried, and it's not showing up, please drop a note to customer.service@paizo.com.

Your math confuses me good sir lol. Is it suppose to be 130 double-sided and 1033 single-sided, in which case only 21 packs PACG art packs would be needed? Thanks.

I think that is what Vic meant. He gave a broken down card count here. It indicates 1033 single-sided, 130 double sides, 1163 total.

Sovereign Court

Still going to pick up 2 display cases anyways. Need more for my S&S set anyways, unless I find some really cool piratey sleeves, like Skull&Crossbones or something g.

You are correct, and I edited my post above to suit.

Is the preview up there the final art for these? If so, is there any chance we could get individual character art for future packs of sleeves? My Seoni deck demands it.

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

If that art isn't 100% final, it's darn close.

I'm sure that if these sell well, UltraPro will consider other designs, but this is it for now.

These look great. As there are no dimensions listed for these sleeves I was wondering, just to be sure, if a fully sleeved set will fit in the RotR(or S&S) box inserts? Thanks.

They won't. But ultra pro is also working on an adventure case to hold a complete sleeved adventure path.

Ok, thank you.

Thank goodness for these sleeves, I'm really interested in getting these especially after buying adventure decks online and getting some U.S. prints and some China prints =/ which has definitely affected my decision making during games since I can tell the cards apart =(. I seriously hope Skull and Shackles doesn't have this problem.

Hawkmoon269 wrote:

Looking forward to the adventure case too. I was only able to find one third party case that would probably be able to accommodate all the RotR cards sleeved.

I've sleeved RotR with Ultra Pro Standard Size Deck Protectors (which I'm guessing these are essentially the same product line). I used black for boons and banes and clear for the story cards.

That lead me to make this. But then I ended up buying this instead.

But I'm excited for the Ultra Pro Adventure Case. I'd much prefer to leave the original box in its original condition as much as possible, which the Adventure Case will allow me to do.

If you are going to end up sleeving RotR, you might want to check out this as well.

S&S will be printed entirely in the US.

Thanks, Hawkmoon269, for the links. I'll definitely be looking into those when I have more time.

Any idea when these should ship? Thanks.

I don't have an updated street date yet, but my personal hope is that they will be available around GenCon.

I want to sleeve.

Protecting the cards is an excuse: I want to sleeve because I want your corrected cards. This is incredible (and thank you for sharing)!

Here it is in this news post

Scarab Sages

Just out of curiosity, but the pricing on these seems rather high. $5.50 for 50 sleeves? I'm used to buying Mayday Sleeves at $2.25 for 100, or even their premium ones at $2.25 for 50, why do these seem to be around 2-4 times as much?

I have to say, I love Paizo, and I love the PACG, but when you're buying enough sleeves to cover the 1100+ cards (and then some), that kind of an increase is pretty steep.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

This price is pretty standard for ultra-pro sleeves. They are well worth it in my opinion, but I'm not using them for the ACG.

You may find this comparison informative.

Scarab Sages

I do actually, thank you Vic. Though that comparison still highlights my curiosity:
- Ultra Pro is $5.90 for 100
- Mayday is $2.95 for 100
- Mayday Premiums are $7.90 for 100
- Fantasy Flight is $7.90 for 100

For Paizo's, that'd be $11 for 100. It still seems rather high to me (especially when I've only ever tried Mayday Premium). Can you elaborate on why the Paizo sleeves are higher than the other three? I don't sleeve a whole lot of games, so my knowledge in this realm is rather limited. It doesn't seem like a huge difference, but when I'm buying 1100 cards for the whole game (or more), then it's a difference of $86 for Mayday Premiums vs. $121 for Paizo.

(Additionally, the premium ones Mayday recommends for the PACG are only $4.50 for 100, making their cost for 1100 a whopping $49.50.)

Edit: Is it the "color-tint" or whatever on these sleeves that makes them more costly? I've only ever had clear plastic ones before, I didn't even know color ones were a thing.

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

Art sleeves (that is, sleeves with printed images) are generally a bit more than double the cost of clear sleeves (or sleeves with a solid-colored back). For example, Fantasy Flight's art sleeves are usually $4.99/50. (I don't think Mayday does any art sleeves.)

If you want UltraPro's clear sleeves, MSRP is $6.20/100 (we sell them for $5.58) or $3.20/50 (we sell them for $2.88). (Make sure you do *not* get the ones labeled "Pro-Fit"—they're slightly too small for our cards.)

Scarab Sages

That makes a lot more sense then. I don't think I noticed the coloring aspect till I did a second read, it wasn't something I even considered. I think I'll take your recommendations and check out the UltraPro clear ones, thanks so much Vic! :)

How many packs in display ?

I noticed that my order for sleeves were not charged with my S&S's order. Does that mean that they won't ship this month?

I recommend posting in the customer service forum. They had issues with the class decks not making it into orders. The same might be true with the sleeves.

Thank you Hawkmoon269 for answering both of my questions today.

Got my shipment of these packs in last night and they are pretty sweet (from a different site). I have the second printing of the game, and even still there were color differences between packs like the base set and the character add-on pack, so having these to give a nice consistent look is pretty nice. The image on the back looks pretty nice with the gang of four, although it would have been nice to include Seoni. The back also has a little grip to it so it isn't as slippery to handle such as with the UP Clear Sleeves. Spent a couple of hours desleeving my single sided cards and resleeving with these...
