Monsters featured in the book:
Animated tank
Daemon, Genthodaemon (personification of death in futile wars and prolonged stalemates)
Fext (unkillable undead)
Trench mist and trench zombie
As far as monsters in the artwork, plenty of monsters are featured in the book.
There's a mandragora, a soulbound doll, a tombstone fairy, dullahans, a lantern goat, a ghost, a pale stranger, and a nosferatu.
Some of these monsters, such as the pale stranger and the dullahan are dressed in clothes representative of the WWI era, but if I remember correctly, only 2 pictures in the adventure portray human soldiers.

I do love the soldier pictures. Very awesome.

What does the Fext look like? Like a modern soldier zombie or like a fantasy undead? I thought Fext were already in a bestiary?
Don't care much about that tank monster, but the Daemon sounds cool. (hopefully its a monster and not a modern-looking one.
Tombstone Fairy and Lantern Goat for the win!
Spare for the Fext and Animated Tank I think I still like this part afterall, I think its abit strange that Fext (a rather unknown myth, gets more love than many other myths tho)

The fext looks like a cross between a modern soldier (uniform) and a fantasy undead (sword and shield). That said, the fluff is Golarion-specific so it's easily reskinned for use in a fantasy setting.
I have to say, in my opinion the fext is a beauty and will work very well in any war-themed campaign. I'm currently tinkering with the idea of a Chelish officer whose many war crimes turned him into a fext.

There are certain modernesque elements to the daemon (barbed wire wrapped around it) but it's very much a Pathfinder monster.

We're currently at adventure path #71 and in the years between Burnt Offerings and Rasputin Must Die! lots of myths have been introduced to the Pathfinder setting AND the Pathfinder RPG. I'm quite sure Paizo isn't done introducing myths from our own world into their setting and game.

I just don't like modern elements in fantasy so the Fext wouldn't fit in my version of Golarion. But there is also this spell Fext in one of the bestiaries tho, I use that instead.
Is the barbed wire the only element from modern times? I actually love barbed wire and think it can be a fantasy element as its just steel woven in a sertain form.

Barbed wire is actually quite anachronistic. It may just be steel wire twisted into shape, but getting a hold of steel wire in this setting would be pretty tough.
The reason being that steel wire is made by drawing it through a draw plate and that requires mechanical force for everything but the most ductile of materials, in other words you basically need machines to do it. Also when you draw steel this way, the deformation hardens the material so it will need to be annealed to soften it enough to be suitable for making the barbed wire. Heating up metal is certainly the easiest part of this process, but if you want specific material features the heat treating has to be controlled, which is likely beyond the limited metallurgical knowledge of the time.
Also a quick search of wikipedia seems to support this as barbed wire didn't exist until the mid to late 19th century.

I think a ferromancer (or anything with magnetic powers) can easily create something like Barbed Wire in a fantasy setting, or something that looks like barbed wire :-p

That's up to you, of course, but there's nothing modern about the fext other than the artwork for it. That's just its clothes, though, and it can easily be described wearing different clothes in your game.
The fext's stat block doesn't include any modern elements at all. Its attacks are very fantasy'ish (bastard sword or slam+energy dragin and various spell-like abilities) as is the only means of truly killing a fext outright.
So yeah, other than the artwork that was ordered for it, artwork that shows it wearing a WWI-ish uniform, there's nothing particularly modern about the monster, and as mentioned the fluff is Golarion-specific. So if you can get past the artwork itself (the style of which makes sense given the subject matter of the adventure path installment in which the monster is featured), then you have a pretty cool monster that'll challenge your players.
It seems a shame to pass on a monster just because you don't like the clothes it wears in a piece of artwork. That's easily fixed and the monster itself, as I've mentioned once or twice, isn't modern at all. No more so, at least, than a goblin or vampire (examples).

Stuck in pending...why did I add Ultimate Combat and slow the order...
You don't need Ultimate Combat for this adventure, and the PRD contains anything you might want to refer to. That said, I think Ultimate Combat might compliment this adventure nicely and you might be happy you have a paper copy to refer to. Just sayin' there is a bright side.

IMRIJKA: How are you even to be carrying that unaided?!
LIRIANNE: I HAVE THE STRENGTH OF MADNESS!
...I haven't gotten mine yet, but "I have the strength of madness" may be my new favorite phrase ever.

OMG!!!
Just downloaded the PDF, which I have so far only skimmed, but...
WOW!!!!
Pathfinder #71: Rasputin Must Die! is an AwesomeSandwich dripping with Awesomesauce with a side of Awesomechips!
It's also one of the darkest adventures I've ever encountered... which makes sense since it's set during freakin' World War I!!!
To the writers and development team: Seriously, this is really impressive stuff. You guys have outdone yourselves with this one.
I can hardly wait for my print copy to arrive so that I can curl up and really read this thing!
Six stars out of five!

Damn! pdf available June 26, and the dead tree version will probably not reach me for several weeks...
The PDF release date listed is the retail release date—since you're a Pathfinder AP subscriber, you should be able to download it once you receive notification that your order has shipped (which is generally before retail release date).

I just gave this the initial skim, and MAN is it brutal; the entire thing is a meat grinder mixed with lots of post-WWI historical awesomeness - in other words, exactly what you expect from this subject matter cranked up for level 13+ pathfinders. Well done!

This is entirely temporary, I assure you. The fact that my table is full of matryoshkas and the samovar is getting warm nicely SPEAKS NOTHING OF MY CURRENT LEVEL OF SANITY. NOTHING. YOU, BRANDON HODGE, GET NOTHING. YOU LOSE. GOOD DAY, SIR!
