!!! TOTALLY LAME, NO MORE MAPS !!!

1/5

TOTALLY LAME, no more maps! The maps with the mini adventure were what made this comic great to me and it was by far my favorite. I looked forward to reading the comic with my son every month and then playing the adventure with him. The custom map made playing the adventure really fun and easy. Now without the maps it is just an average comic (which they are still selling for the same price). Everyone who misses the maps as much as me should let them know and demand they bring them back. I will NOT buy another single issue unless they return the maps to the comics. Why do great things always start out so good and then the manufacturer decides to ruin it by going cheap? I REALLY hope they fix this and bring back the maps.

Seoni needs to summon up a pair of pants. That cover is pretty stupid.

Agreed. I think someone needs to do a Hawkeye Initiative version of this. "Valeros Initiative", anyone?

It's disappointing, because I've really liked most of the Lucio Parillo covers so far.

Sczarni

As an official representative of the red blooded male gender of the human species, I fully support Seoni's choice in clothing!

We should *not* dictate what anyone, male or female, wears so as to fit within social norms.

Seoni is a wise young woman. She chose the clothes from her wardrobe the morning this picture was painted. Leave her alone!

Perhaps Seoni should be depicted wearing a burka ?

Would that appease the hungry PC crowd ?

Matter of time. :)

Actually Tamago has a point.

The problem is not the costume, per say, but the pose.

Sczarni

Mindless adhesion to public ideals and political correctness.

Just plain silly.

Sczarni

The pose ? It's the *visual perspective* of the viewer.

So silly it's worthy of a string.

My point was, that a burka would have covered her completely, head to toe.

If the image bothers you so, let's cover it up completely. A burka it is for Seoni. And let's advance the burka a bit. Black is so yesterday...let's go pink, or lavender. Yes, I personally like lavender. And no offensive anything to be seen!

Silly.

No need to be so defensive. I am actually on your side.

That's not being defensive, my friend, that is me pointing out the ludicrous notion that a woman cannot be a woman unless dressed in an "appropriate" manner. Or "posed" in an "appropriate" manner. Or "drawn" in an "appropriate" manner.

Is it time to change certain things, such as the way women are depicted in art? Certainly. Do we all have to drink the kool-aid, and step into line repeating the party manifesto? Absolutely not. There was nothing degrading about the pose that Seoni was painted in. There was nothing obscene about it. There is absolutely nothing about that cover artwork that would prevent me from allowing my five year old daughter to see it.

If the topic comes up with my daughter, and I am sure it will, I'll explain that just as with men, there are many different ways we can be portrayed and or shown. I'll explain that there is nothing wrong with being beautiful and allowing others to see it. I'll also explain that it is not something that has to be seen as a measure of self worth. That not everyone looks like the images we are blasted with in the media. That the true beauty is on the inside.

The beauty of appearance is the frosting. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being appreciative of both, or portraying either the inner beauty of a person or the outer beauty.

TOTALLY LAME, NO MORE MAPS! Getting rid of the awesome maps that went with the mini adventure has totally ruined this series for me. The artwork is amazing, but as the story goes it is just average. What made it great was how interactive it was with the adventure and map at the end. I will NOT buy a single new issue unless they return the maps to the comics. Back to Marvel for me, sadly. I hope they fix this and return the maps. Nothing good ever seems to last, somebody always seems to come up with a "great idea" and ruin everything. No maps for me, no money from me.

It makes sense though.

Paizo want you to use the flip maps that they sell.

Dustin, we understand that you dislike the decision to remove the bonus maps from the comics, but posting the same (or nearly the same) comment on multiple threads isn't helpful and simply clutters the boards. We prefer that users not double-post, and future posts across multiple threads will be removed. If you feel that a comment applies to multiple products or threads, it's generally best to start a new thread in the appropriate section of the boards (in this case the Licensed Products General Discussion forum addressing the issue of the maps' removal from the comics.

Seoni is casting the Updraft spell from 3E Spell Compendium - A spell invented by a famous magician of old... Marilyn was the name if I recall it correctly.

I have bought almost every flip mat and map pack paizo has sold and will continue to, that is why my love for gaming maps is the reason I have up to this point paid for this comic series.

I know my business is only a drop in the bucket for you, but I have spent thousands of dollars (which is no drop in the bucket for me) on Pathfinder and Paizo products: flip mats, map packs, novels, comics, gaming books and aids, TONS of minis, even silly goblin plushies. So I feel I have the right to say what I want to say about these products without you threatening to remove my posts for speaking my mind. I notice you didn't threaten me or complain about my "double posts" when I said nice things about the hardcover version of issues 1-6. 99% of the time I LOVE Pathfinder and Paizo products, but this time I think you made a HUGE mistake. I am not trying to cause trouble or "clutter" the threads, but I am hoping enough people like me who love the maps will speak up and convince you to put them back in future issues. Instead of being offended by my opinion and threatening me with removal, maybe you should listen to what LONG TIME PAYING customers like me are saying. I have looked at the other posts, I am clearly not the only one that is upset about losing the maps. We want to give you our money, we just want to get our money's worth. I may only be a drop in the bucket, but becareful, if you lose too many drops you will end up with an empty bucket.

He's suggesting you complain in the appropriate place. He's not suggesting you shouldnt register your protest.

A pointless rant about sheeple!

Poor girl. Though you should point it out and mention how she's going to be sexualized by people like you.

Yay, the world is perfect now with my blinders on!

I completely agree with you, my biggest reason to buy this was that it had a mini adventure and a map to go along with it. I wont be purchasing this series anymore.

Um... just a heads up. You're posting on a thread for an old product. The Pathfinder: Origins series (the ones currently being released) have the maps and mini-adventures.

So worry not - apparently others shared your concerns. :)
