The file I downloaded from the Kobold Store does not show V2. I sent an email to the Kobold Store explaining what I see. No more mentioning the store here on Paizo. Don't want to disrespect either company.

Wolfgang, I thought I should ask this, have you changed your email address from @KoboldQuarterly?

The file I dled from OBS also does not say V.2. Oo Don't have the time to double-check it right now....

That's really strange. The files currently up at OBS, here, and on the Kobold Store are all the V2 files.

I'll follow up on these this weekend or Monday.

Silverhair2008, my email address won't change to @koboldpress until January 1.

OK, thanks for the info. I sent you an email about this situation yesterday with an explanation of what is happening on my end. I hope you got it.

Technical difficulties on the Kobold Store were all resolved over the weekend, so if you didn't get it before, the updated PDF is now available everywhere.

Also, after a 6-week run at the top of the charts, the Crossroads have given way to the Player's Guide to the Dragon Empire. If you like this one, you might want to check out Dragon Empire!

If I must fall, then it's good that it's at least to my own empire! :)

What changes were made to the PDF? I'm unsure if the one I have is the old or the new version, and I'm not really sure what changed to check.

You just have your hand in everything, don't you? ;)

We like to have Christina develop all our freelancer stuff...it makes us look more brilliant than we really are...but haha! Her silly Crossroads kobolds have fallen under the mighty claws of my Mharoti dragons, drakes and dragonkin...! I say again ... haha!

@ Kthulhu,
When you pull up the PDF before you expand it, it should have a R2 at the end of the title. If you have it already expanded, go to page 14 and the Griffon Mount paragraph should have more than the original 3-4 lines.

Yep, other new things include the Shadowsworn starting money, a correction to the paladin Divine Aspect archetype, and some changes to bonus types.

And reviewed here, on DTRPG and sent to GMS magazine. Cheers!

I try! :)

I've had a busy last 2 years freelancing for the kobolds, and I'm hoping for many years just like them. Fun stuff!

Any new information on a release date for the Seven Cities Player's Guide?

So my wife and I decided to run a one on one campaign which I would GM and she would play a rogue type character. I was interested in finding a good city campaign setting for Pathfinder and also a spell casting rogue variant. After a fair bit of searching I was delighted to find Zobeck and by extension Midgard which had some other things I was hoping to find like constructs.

But to get to the point, Zobeck looks like exactly what I want and Shadowsworn as well. I decided to use my limited budget and I downloaded the PDFs for the Zobeck Gazatteer, Player's Guide to Crossroads and the Midgard Bestiary to get this thing rolling.

MY QUESTION: The write up on Shadowsworn had precious little background information on the class and how it might fit into a campaign set in Zobeck/Crossroads. There was some mention of a connection to the Shadow Fey and Sarastra, but is there any other 'Lore' for this class particularly in terms of potential elements and conflicts for a character's back story?

Would the 'Courts of the Shadow Fey' be a good reference for this class, or some other source? I'm not tied to the written material, and I could certainly come up with something interesting, and as example, I am looking very closely at the Fetchling from the Advanced Race Guide, but this class seems like it should be tied very strongly to the Midgard setting. Is there more I'm missing?

Contributor

The class was included in the Shadowcrag adventure, which dealt with the shadow Fay's curse, so I would say that it is very much connected to shadow fey. I would say the character would have received training from such creatures. That's my take.

Glad you are liking Zobeck. It is where I am running my home campaign.

...so I'm wondering for the Shadowsworn...it says they only get 1 0lvl spell at level 1 when they know 3. Don't spontaneous casters get all their 0 lvl spells all day long? Also on the Spells known table the 0 spells start off with 3 and them drop to 2 at 2nd leves ADN then go hace up yo 3 at 3rd level....

Qadira Contributor; Publisher, Kobold Press; RPG Superstar Judge

Yep. That's an error based on the 3.5 shadowsworn, and safe to ignore. They can cast cantrips all day long.

The shadowsworn and all the other crunch here is now supported by the Hero Lab software in the Zobeck Package (which includes 3 other books as well).
