Chapter 4 "Beyond the Doomsday Door" by Tito Leati
The hunt for the seven shards of the Shattered Star leads the heroes back to the western coast of Varisia, to the multifaith monastery known as Windsong Abbey. The next shard appears to be hidden somewhere within the dungeons below the abbey. But when the PCs arrive, they find the monastery in ruins and held by savage giants and twisted fey! An ancient terror has returned home, and now dwells within the levels beneath the monastery—a terror who hopes to open the dread doomsday door within!
This volume of Pathfinder Adventure Path continues the Shattered Star Adventure Path and includes:

Well I hope the sword is a unique item, maybe not an artifact or intellagent weapon, but something interesting non the less. Maybe it's a sword of sharpness for that tentacled horror.
Cool I love tentacle monsters! BTW I Really enjoy the covers of AP where monsters from the bestiary appear on, can't this be on every cover? I also really adored the Rokurokubi cover, my favorite cover for an AP by far!
I think Qlippoth Lord can be any powerful and unique Qlippoth with a CR of 21 or higher. The 21-25 range is certainly within the capabilities of a high level party to encounter without mythic rules.

It's not anything crazy special... the character in question is an NPC that you actually encountered in the very first scene of the AP, and she plays a bigger role in this part of the adventure. When we ordered art from her from Wayne, we asked for "a sword and an aklys" more or less. The fact that the sword looks cool is because Wayne's good at making things cool. As a result... this NPC does have a magic sword that's a bit more powerful and more expensive than an NPC of that level should have... but it's not a specific new magic item or intelligent weapon or anything like that.
Nice cover, though I can't help thinking of the rather nasty spell Evan's Spiked Tentacles of Forced Intrusion from Order of the Stick when I look at that tentacle monster in the background.

I thought the same! I know THAT is something I don't want to face!
Care to give us any idea on what to expect from the article on groteus?
A lot more doom and gloom than normal, for one!
Well here's hoping for a teaser or something to wet the appetite, I have a Groteus cleric in PFS that I want to buff out some more with interesting material.
no, brilliant energy swords have their blades made of pure energy like a lightsaber, this looks more like a bastard sword version of Sting. (the dagger, not the band.)

Lol. This doesn't excite me, must the end always be so gloomy?
Hey, just because Groetus *thinks* he knows how it's going to end doesn't mean he's right! ;)
Was sold when I saw the summons list and some of the worshipping options, it really does make me that much more excited to play Akram and get him to divine scion.
