Son of a bee sting! I've been getting psyched up for 2 weeks for the PDF to be released August 16, as was listed on the product page. Now, all of a sudden, it says August 23! Gah!
Exactly! I was counting down the days until tomorrow. Now it'll be another week. Damn, I'm waiting on this book to fill out the treasure inside an ancient tomb I'm designing for my players.

Nice. We "could" sell but we won´t. Because we CAN.
Finally a book I care for and then this. -.-
Paizo doesn't sell PDFs until their retailers can sell physical copies of the book. Its a self imposed limitation as a gesture of goodwill towards the FLGS that help support the hobby. There was a delay in the physical copies getting to the retailers so the PDF is delayed also.
Will the PDF have the spelling and price mistakes rectified? Especially given the extra time for the devs to sort it?
The PDF counterpart to any Paizo product will reflect the printed version. Any errata will be added to the PDF as additional printings are released. Any errata discussed will not be reflected in the PDF at this point, since this is the first printing of this product.
@Patrick you do understand that shipping delays means they do not have them to sell right?
What they have no pdf? ;)
I absolutly understand their self imposed restriction. But I also have the right to complain about this. I hate the constant delays and it bugs me that the product I want is already there (the pdf) and I can´t get it because someone hasn´t done their job at another product - the printing copy (be it the printing company, the shipping company or whatever).
I'd be curious if anyone who worked on this book would be willing to mention what they did.
Ross, you too!
Things I believe I wrote...I apologize if I took credit for an item I didn't do. As always, many of these items were improved considerably in development. Any errors are likely mine :)
specific armors: breasplate of vanishing, catskin leather, equestrian plate, hamatula hide, invincible armor, mail of malevolence, prismatic plate, warden of the woods

I still don't understand what it says on the miniature market site.
Its says that its on pre order, that it has not been relased. But it also says they have 18 in stock? See the link on last page I posted.
Probably Minis Mart have received N preorders, and have ordered n+18 books from their distributor. Therefore they have 18 more that people can order, but they haven't actually arrived at their office.
The system will have evolved from the fact that they are originally a site for PPMs, so would have what they randomly got from the boxes to sell as singles, so the quantity can only be determined once they'd opened them, and tend to operate on a 'once they're gone, they're fully gone' principle

Vic has said that the PDFs will release on schedule. Someone quoted it upthread. Given that I assumed you were talking about the physical product.
Due to shipping delays, the retail release date for all of our August products is now August 23; the PDF onsale date is the same.
Which can be read one of two ways: the PDF onsale date is "the same" as it was before the delay of the retail release date, or the PDF onsale date is "the same" as the delayed retail release date. Given the available evidence, the second seems to be the correct reading: both PDFs and physical products are delayed by a week.

Paizo, do you not realize that some of us get very, VERY excited for new product releases?! If I could afford the subscription, I'd have it! I swear!
Well I am a subscriber and my order is still pending... (it may have something to do with the salea, and me adding several items to the shippment, and removing others....) so yeah I understand you completely^^

Mine was sent but apparently stuck in Auburn WA. Been there since the 13th.

Lots of great object art, some of which I've seen in older products and item cards, but some of it I don't recognize. Any chance the new stuff will end up in a new set of item cards? Mundane Gear 3 or maybe Ultimate Equipment?
Hmm, another reason to be glad I dropped my Pathfinder RPG sub - first printings from Paizo are always so full of mistakes! As per usual, I will grab the PDF next week and wait for a second printing version before I buy the physical version, I guess. Thanks for making the PDFs affordable and the free updates, guys - but maybe you should invest a bit more in technical editors in the future.
I've been reading this book quite a lot lately, and I've noticed a grand total of one error. Where are these supposed errors that plague the product so thoroughly? No one lists them, they just complain about them.
Perhaps I just have a different copy of the book than most of the complainers. Especially those who say there isn't a lot of new stuff. 44% of the melee weapon enhancements are new, and that's not counting the stuff that came out 2 months ago in ARG. There many entire pages I can look at with nothing but new stuff. I recognize 5 or 6 pre-existing items in the Chest section. Out of 28.

You should probably write a review saying as much then - all those of us who don't have it have to go by is the reviews, and they aren't positive at this point. After getting totally hosed on the APG first printing, I am VERY leery of buying on day one now, and if I see reviews saying it's full of errors, I am going to believe them.

This.
A majority of the errors listed in the errata thread are things like a letter missing, or an incorrect verb tense, etc. If these kinds of errors matter to you, then I suppose you are out of luck. For that matter, you are out of luck with EVERY book ever printed.
The book is of an awesome quality, and the utility for GMs is out of this world.
Glad to see people contradicting the reviews, but again - WRITE ONE if you think the reports are wrong. Right now 33% of the posted reviews say to wait for a second printing. Get that ratio down if you want people to actually believe you.
Because if they don't sell out of the first printing (because people are waiting for a second printing), then there's no reason to make a second printing. You do second printings when you run out of books :)

Don't bring your silly logic into the internet. :)
I fully intend to purchase this one. This book, Paths of Prestige and Blood of the night. Oh and the Animal book that is coming out. After those four I'm done until after christmas. I have to leave some goodies on my wish list.

What I don't get are the claims that UE doesn't incorporate errata from older sourcebooks. I checked with the Core Rulebook and APG errata so far, and UE incorporates the errata from both books.
Most of the few errors in UE I have noticed are a couple pricing typos and the known issue of the random weapons table missing entries.
I do plan to write a review as soon as I get my print copy (I've been out so I haven't picked it up yet).

I agree, people either need to list true technical errors (specs, prices, etc) or quit saying it is "filled with errors".

I'm sure they'll be along shortly to provide a cogent defence of their claims..
The absolute only thing that disappointed me about this book was that the Agile weapon property didn't make it in. Other then that, I don't understand 99% of the whining people are doing about this book; there are inventive items for everyone, the book is well structured and very pretty to look at, and its a book about TREASURE. Who doesn't like TREASURE?
What book is this 'Agile weapon property' I keep hearing about listed in? It sounds great, but for the life of me I can't remember seeing it in any of the Paizo books I have.

Is there any new weapon power that can give my crossbowman the ability to shoot his crossbow like a machine gun? maybe containing an extra-dimensional space in which he could store 100 bolts and access them at will shooting them like from a repeating crossbow?
(Question inspired by the quick loading weapon property from pg.41 of the 3.5 D&D Magic Item Compendium.)

I half recall a post by Mr. Jacobs basically pointing out that Dex to damage has only shown up in Campaign Setting stuff. Ah, found it.
The_Scourge: It does not appear to have been.
zergtitan: Nope, nothing to help there. Just use the MIC one, I guess!

Closest thing I found was the endless ammunition +2 weapon enchantment (only available to bows and crossbows). When you cock back the weapon, a non-magical arrow or bolt appears and can be fired. It doesn't reduce the time required to load/fire, and does still allow you to use your own ammunition as it disappears if you load another piece of ammo in it.

Characterizing the opinions of others as "whining" because you don't agree with them is not a productive course of action. Bear in mind this is an observation offered by someone who does not own UE and has therefore not offered any opinions of its contents.

I beg to differ. Trolling is never productive, but counter-trolling is. That's why I excel at it! :)
People seem to have gotten some pretty high standards these days. Remember Sword and Fist or Tome and Blood, even after all these years I still have very fond memories of these B/W books. Were there mistakes and errata, of course - they are roleplaying game rulebooks not manuals for nuclear reactors.
