Sometimes rules supplements read like the world-setting bible of frustrated novelists. While solid world-building is a useful skill, you don't always need four paragraphs of flavor text to tell you swords are cool, magic is power, shadows are scary, and orcs are savage. Sometimes a GM doesn't have time to slog through a page of history for every magic weapon. Sometimes all that's needed are a few cool ideas, with just enough information to use them in a game. Sometimes, all you need are bullet points.
Bullet Points is a line of very short, cheap PDFs each of which gives the bare bones of a set of related options. It may be five spells, six feats, eight magic weapon special abilities, or any other short set of related rules we can cram into about a page. Short and simple, these PDFs are for GMs and players who know how to integrate new ideas into their campaigns without any hand-holding, and just need fresh ideas and the rules to support them. No in-character fiction setting the game world. No charts and tables. No sidebars of explanations and optional rules. Just one sentence of explanation for the High Concept of the PDF, then bullet points.
The High Concept: Six new feats to help rangers who have given up their spell ability (such as the spell-less ranger from New Paths: Expanded Spell-Less Ranger and skirmishers from the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Advanced Player’s Guide) redirect their unused mystic energies in a way that helps compensate for their lack of the flexible, mystic bonuses spells can provide. This is the latest in a series of products to celebrate the "Summer of Bullets" event!
The six feats included are:
Bestial Surge: You can call on your spiritual connection to the animal kingdom to gain temporary bonuses.
Blood Enemies: You can forge a link of enmity in blood.
Defensive Lore: You can use your knowledge of enemies and the environment to defend yourself against spells and other effects.
Improved Hunting Bond: You can quickly give allies broad advice on how to fight your favored enemies.
Take Cover: You always know how to get cover when in a favored terrain.
Woodland Juggernaut: You have studied the heavily armor creatures of nature, from armadillos to rhinos, and learned to emulate their ways.

Hey Marc, do you think this should be named "Bullet Points: 6 Strider Ranger Feats"? :)
He had his chance to make that suggestion when I ran the draft by him!
EDIT
I had said
"But it is an awesome name for the class..."
before I discovered this was something people have actually bugged Marc about. So now I'm saying:
"That really is an awesome name for SOME class, but this class has a name!"

Oh, good lord, PLEASE don't start that 'Strider' vs 'Spell-less Ranger" name nonsense again!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
Call it Yellow Spotted Pickle Chucker in your home games if you want, but the name of the class is, was and always shall officially be the Spell-less Ranger.
In all seriousness, let's not go down this path again, especially here in this thread, OK? I don't want anything to derail what should remain a discussion about these awesome SGG feats!
Yellow-Spotted Pickle Chucker Focus
You can take advantage of the bright hue of the spots on pickles you chuck.
Prerequisites: 13 Dex, Exotic Weapon Proficiency (yellow-spotted pickle), Throw Anything, +1 base attack bonus
Benefit: When you hit a target with a thrown yellow-spotted pickle you deal damage equal to a shuriken appropriate to your size (though it remains bludgeoning damage). Additionally, the target is dazzled for 1 round by the pickle's bright yellow spots.

Oh no, I can't imagine a Spell_Less Ranger related thread could be derailed by a discussion of a different product. It's unpossible!
For the curious, there are also more spell-less ranger inspired feats (separate from those in the PDF) being posted daily this week at the Super Genius Games Facebook page. The first one (Spirit Companion) went up yesterday, and the second (Home Court Advantage) just went live.
That'll be 4 more feats, free, by the end of the week!
Review up here and at RPGNow, another solid addition to the Bullet Point series.
I just want to say that I love that review. I'm definitely getting this in a few days when I have the cash.
Eric, glad you liked the review, and am thinking nobody should have to wait for Bullet Points, so I bought you a copy. Check your email, should be the info and such.

I cannot tell you all how much I love seeing out patrons buying our products for each other! I've heard of several cases of this, and it just warms my heart. :D
I have to admit I really wish the feats were put on a pdf for a web enhancement. My Facebook page is too busy to keep up with the feats you're releasing.
Also, I've got one complaint regarding a feat you guys made. Improved Hunting Bond: You can quickly give allies broad advice on how to fight your favored enemies. Yeah, if you're a spell-less ranger only. Or maybe you're multiclassing into rogue or fighter, or another spell-less class. Why are you not allowed to give this to a regular ranger too? It wouldn't be overpowered by any means.
Other than that, it was a good read.
BTW, I'm curious about the Eldritch Breath feat you guys put on Facebook. What PC race has a 1/day breath weapon?

I may yet do that, but part of the point is, I admit, to encourage people to keep up with our Facebook. There's a significant benefit to us for people to dial in to our main social network, and I hesitate to take the reward offered to those who do so and give it away elsewhere.

Prerequisites aren't always about game balance. In fact, other than preqs that delay what level you get a feat at, they are rarely about balance. For example, no one's game is going to be unbalanced by allowing characters with an 8 Str take Power Attack -- they're already doing less damage with melee attacks.
But prerequisites can do a great job of helping maintain concepts. In this case, the concept is that a ranger who does not spend time and effort learning magic (which, one must assume, is pretty tricky to master) has spare capacity to learn a new talent.
Also, I envision a ranger's spellcasting to be very much like another kind of bond (hunter's bond: druidism, for lack of a better term), that must take some spiritual energy to power (it being divine spells). So a ranger who has not spent the spiritual energy to do that should, in my opinion, have options for expanding and strengthening his other bonds.

Kobolds can (using the material from the ARG), and both kobolds and koldemar can (using the much, much expanded version of the same options from Super Genius Presents: Races Revised, The Kobold Kings). I didn't limit the feat to those races in case someone is using other 3pp options to introduce yet more breath-weapon-enabled races.

Well, the PDF is called "6 Spell-Less Ranger Feats" after all! :P
Seriously though, as Owen said, it's as much a flavor/conceptual thing. I'm sure in your game you can expand on or even remove that prerequisite and there will be no harm done.

I was thinking that, actually. The problem is I don't like homebrewing things. I pretty much take feats as Gospel.
