The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game puts you in the role of a brave adventurer fighting to survive in a world beset by magic and evil. It's a very short trip from there to the world of superheroes.

Pathfinder Roleplaying games and superhero fiction have a lot in common. They're both tales of powerful extraordinary individuals, some heroic, some definitely not, who go out and have adventures. Saving a town from being destroyed by a rampaging monster works equally well as a Pathfinder Roleplaying Game adventure or an issue of a comic book. Something about the core experience of Pathfinder and the superhero milieu fundamentally click. Heroes Wear Masks seeks to capitalize on that natural synergy and bring superheroes to Pathfinder.

Heroes Wear Masks is the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game after it was bitten by a radioactive spider. If you're familiar with Pathfinder Roleplaying Game you'll recognize most of the rules. If you're familiar with superheroes you'll be familiar with most of the setting. If you're familiar with both, you'll be right at home here.

A metropolis strains under the weight of crime. The police are helpless against a new breed of costumed super-being. The city cries out for heroes. Will you answer the call, or help burn it to the ground?
