"Oh, g-good. They got closer. Exactly as I.. as I planned."
Liam isn't exactly a fan of the way the creature sticks its fingers into him, but... they don't seem entirely solid. Which means he's in exactly the right place, since he's prepared for that.
Keeping his shield up this time--even if it's not 100% effective--and stepping back to exploit his greater reach, he snaps his mace towards... whatever that thing is.

Regarding the Fort saves DC26 and multiple exposures, this is a curse and from what I saw in the rules: 'Multiple exposures to the same curse or disease currently affecting you have no effect.' So the answer is no, when you fail you fail, when you crit fail that effect you would go to stage 2 but the first check would determine the stage so sorry about confusion.

Agents strike with precision and determination, fireballs, bombs and weapons strike the enemies using their insight and focus to their advantage. Arisept is able to blocks some of the strikes but not all, soon under barrage of strikes it falls, and nightmares seeing it, teleport away.
Sarnia’s voice cuts through the thunder of the portal, which has almost closed on the Gale’s Claw. "Your forces are defeated, Aslynn—and their dream essence is just what I needed. Thanks! I’ll be taking back what’s mine… and I’ll need a piece of your mind while I’m at it Aslynn. Thanks for letting me in."
Flashes of yellow and purple lightning arc along the ship, overloading the metal coils and setting it alight. The crew frantically fights to keep the ship afloat long enough to pass through the portal, and the storm clouds begin pouring into the vault as the rift fails. Aslynn’s psychic scream of pain as Sarnia tears at her mind lasts only a moment before the deafening crash of the failing portal silences her. The ship is gone, and the figure of Sarnia Blakros hovers in its place, her glowing yellow eyes narrowed in concentration. "Thank you, Pathfinders. Sorry I had to wait so long to reveal my plans. I knew I could count on you. Time to send you home. As for me, I’ve had enough of hags for now. It’s time for a fresh start. If you don’t mind, I’ll be sending you home with a few… gifts. Hopefully, you can protect these treasures better than I have. Or see that they’re destroyed before Aslynn strikes again." A gossamer snarl of blue-white light fills the room.
At that point a box moves from around the corner "I am Biglock, I think Sarnia was saying about us, if you could help us, We gagged some skull which could not simply stay quiet!"
That concludes the fight and the whole scenario, feel free to RP the end of the scenario

Dr. Lazarus nods knowingly as Arisept and the nightmares get destroyed. As if Sarnia was thanking him personally, he responds, "Naturally, dear Lady. It was only a matter of time. If you're ever at the University in our realm, perhaps we can share a brandy."
Speaking of brandy, Lazarus pours celebratory drinks. When he hears about gifts for the Society, and then literally hears a talking box, Lazarus moves closer. "Greetings! Biglock is it? I'm The Doctor." The scholar pulls out a well-used tome from his bookbag: "Animating the Inanimate".
Flipping thru pages, he declares, "Dear box, are you a civilized mimic? Fascinating." After a short pause, "And you're accompanied by a talking skull?" Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, the forensics professor muses, "I'd love to get a head start studying that." Lazarus puts himself in charge of preparing the animated "gifts" for transport.
Liam Prentiss |
