"Counterweights and Measures" is a science-fiction adventure set in the Far Avalon region of space but compatible with other game backgrounds. It does not require any particular rules set to use, and contains all necessary background data.

The big corporations of the so-called Trade Worlds are encroaching on the Far Avalon region, putting local firms out of business and becoming ever more influential in local politics. Already several planetary governments are under the control of the Trade Worlds, and matters can only get worse. Unless, of course, someone stops them.

Every move must be met with a countermove in the boardroom and the law courts, in the stock market and on the entertainment channels. An alliance of underdogs and idealists is forming, ready to take on the might of big business. Ready to play the Trade Worlds at their own game.

Problem is, it's their game and their rules. And they don't always play fair...
