Gray

3/5

I like the bulk on the miniature. It is large for a Large sized mini. The sculpt is decent but it looks a little pudgy. The gray skin is too muddy.

great mini

4/5

Very nice mini. This one sure drew a lot of attention when I pulled him out of the box at the game table when he arrived in the mail.

5/5

This thing is a freaking monster (no pun intended). The sheer size of it compared to my groups normal minis, had us gasping. We wound up using the big guy as a stand-in for a gray render, and it had the table trembling.

Intimidating

4/5

Right out of the package I started thinking of ways to get this guy into my game as soon as possible. The sculpt, the proportions, the paint, blending, shading, it's all excellent. I love that one head is smaller than the other. His muscularity is not pronounced, giving him the right look of underlying power and flabbiness. If there is any flaw, it is in the seams. Some of them, particularly the right arm by the elbow, are not quite tight, leaving minor gaps. I have no idea what that strange pattern is on the back. It's too detailed to be a molding error.

Best figure in the set IMO... now, to find something to run that needs an ettin!

If you Dm the last of the echoes of the Everwar PFS series, an Ettin is involved.

Okay, but what could use Huge ettins? Because they seem pretty big to me, and I'm thinking of re-basing them.

Now I need a bigger toolbox. He does not fit in the biggest section of mine.

I use Stanley modular part cases to hold my minis. They're awesome, since I usually keep one as a "current campaign" box and the others to hold all the minis. They're great.

I mean this or this (They're pretty darn close to identical; I think one's a little sturdier).

Of course, I also use two vertical file cabinets, since many of my miniatures aren't really so mini.
