Here's a great companion to the Haunted Mansion. Combine the two and you have a great horror landscape good for fantasy, modern or anything in between. I'd love to see a second set with more crypts and features :)
Another fantastic Map Pack! The church and mausoleum are great!
My only complaint is that it seems like most of this set is single 5x8 locations that don't really go together well to make a nice whole. There are a few tiles that have parts of a fence and gate on them, but they do not fit together in any way that makes sense. There are hints of a path on some tiles, but they also do not connect.
I would have liked to have seen a few more bigger outdoor locations for a more cohesive, static graveyard.
I do really like these map tiles but they were much flimsier than I was expecting. The artwork is excellent and they seem to be capable of creating many different encounter areas. I would love to see these on a heavier cardstock (WotC's new Dungeon Tiles line is perfect in this regard) and this would be an easy 5 star rating!
As with village, the art is great and the idea is one I support wholeheartedly. I hate waiting so long between releases. I'm also concerned that future map packs will be $13 instead of $10, even though the tile count won't increase.
***NOTE*** I wrote a long, extensive review of this product, but when I tried to submit, it took me out and I lost everything I typed.
I picked up the graveyard set as I had an encounter planned that took place in a graveyard. At my LGS, the product was ~$10. Still I thought it was worth it.
The good stuff: The art work is great. The colors vivid (even for a graveyard) and the detail interesting (the empty grave with the headstone marked 'C. Eastwood' made me smile). And not often do you find a map that actually have the gravediggers shack mapped.
The bad stuff: The cards are roughly 5"x8" and light. There is no way to hold them together so they won't slide off kilter. This could make running an encounter with them difficult with out some sort of modification (I plan on using Velcro at the corners to hold them either down on a velvet pad or to fasten each card together).
Still I felt there was something lacking. Especially for 10 bucks. I would liked to have seen something fluffy and/or crunchy on the back of each card (mine are completely blank). Something like a suggested creature, or perhaps possible tactics for the bad guy or creature encounter within. Anything.
Without that something extra I felt that I could create these cards -- except I have absolutely no artistic skill. And the artist of these cards is very very good. :]
