GameMastery Map Pack: Sewers contains 18 full-color 5 x 8-inch map tiles, stunningly crafted by cartographer Corey Macourek, that unite to form a completely customizable sewer adventuring area.
For use with the industry’s most popular roleplaying or tabletop miniature campaigns, and useable by experienced GMs and novices alike, this product fits perfectly into any Game Master’s arsenal.
Good GMs can never have too many maps at their disposal, and Paizo’s GameMastery Map Packs provide high-quality gridded maps for use with both RPGs and miniatures games.
The art on these is not as nice as most of the other map packs, and these feel a bit unfinished somehow.
But, that can be forgiven because of the versatility of these sewers: these are modular, and can be arranged in a variety of ways to create a larger sewer or tunnel system.
These can easily be combined with similar dungeon-tile products from competitors, as well as any similar sets that Paizo/GameMastery (hopefully) produces in the future.
The bland artwork actually works in the favor of these tiles, as they can probably do work just as easily as the bowels of decrepit star ships in sci-fi settings such as Space Hulk, DOOM, Alien, or Star Wars, as they do for sewer systems in fantasy or modern horror settings.
This makes them much more re-usable than many of the other map pack sets. I hope to see more modular multi-use map packs in the future.
I love Wererats and any sort of encounter I can use with them. I really like that these tiles don't have to fit in any specific way and you can build as you go. I think gross and creepy merge well together (as evidenced by my favorite RP character, a Wererat named Dorian) .
I like the atmosphere they provide, and short of an entrance grate I am really happy with them. May player's characters are going to love *sarcasm* trampsing through these dank smelly halls.
This is just what I needed for a dirty, filthy place for my PC's to explore. A solid creative mix of tunnels and dead ends that make me remember to "good old days" when Geomorphs were the latest and greatest!
I was very satisfied with the Village, Haunted Mansion, and City map packs and recommend them to all - even remotely interested in them. But the Sewers Map Pack is very disappointing. It's unfortunately less quality than free photoshop made sewer tile collections on the internet.
The tiles are repetitive and the rooms extremely bare of any detail. The most important sewer tile set of all was not to be found - the actual sewer entrances/grates, etc.
This isn't the Map Pack you're looking for, move along to the other Map Packs.
