4/5

Another set of general enough maps for many encounters.
Both sides offer different variables.

PFS intro III must have!

5/5

I run the PFS Intro series all the time and when I come to number three I can just whip out this map and the River Crossing encounter is taken care of. Such a time saver and my players love it.

Too clean

3/5

The art work is too clean on this one. The river water should be murky, not like the Caribbean. The bridge is also in perfect repair and the trees remind me of train table trees. It would have been nice to have a river that was wider across too. There could have been some large rocks in the water to become encounter points.... PCs could jump to and battle on, rather than one choke point on a bridge. The back side of the map could have featured something more varied and exciting like the river's source- say a wide pool at the base of a rocky waterfall.

All the same,, I can't find it in me to give Paizo less than three stars for the maps they put out. You can always find a use for them even if they aren't your favorite and the prices are so reasonable that there is no reason for GM's to be under stocked when it comes to terrain!

a good map you can a-"ford" (ha ha, get it?)

5/5

Great, universal mat. Lush and beautiful, and very easy to see what everything is. I picked it up specifically for the early part of the first Jade Regent adventure path- which involves a lot of random encounters at bridges- but really, a bridge or river crossing encounter- be it ambush, problem solving challenge, or troll extortion shtick- comes up A LOT in fantasy role-playing, so you can definitely pick up this map in the firm knowledge it will get plenty of use. 5 stars!

Any word on when we'll get to see the picture (actual, not mock-up) for this one?

I've updated the image to reflect the actual product!

Store post question for this product asks:

Why did the goblin cross the river?

Bad answers:

1. Goblins don't cross rivers or take any other actions that might, even on accident, render them clean.

2. To escape Kobold Cleaver's mad ravings about dead Postmonsters and explosive runes.

3. To vote Yellow Dingo into office and see what happens next.

4. Because they're so dumb they thought body-of-water betrayal might have an upside? (look carefully... there's humor in there somewhere)

5. Because they heard funnier jokes than these were on the other side. (True: funnier jokes than these are everywhere)

THERE chicken *points across the river and nods sagely*

Is it possible to get an image of the entire map? It's hard to tell what it looks like in its folded condition.

Do you guys plan to make this available in the Map Pack line?

This (along with a few other Flip-Mats) would really be nice if available in the Map Pack line of products.

I've update the image to show the full map. (The other side is similar, but with a bend in the river, and without the bridge).
