I picked these up, pretty excited about being able to hand out treasure cards and was pretty disappointed. There are cards like 'Wheel' and 'Catapult' and 'Tankard of Rum'.
While there has been plenty of rum passed about on board the Wormwood, a single tankard of it doesn't really seem to qualify. There was a single ring, and of the items that are in the first module, very few are represented in the cards. The deck is also rather full of things that are unlikely to be given out to the players - the first ship comes with ballista, you don't find a catapult as loot. Peg leg, eye patch, three different holy symbols?
I probably should have looked at the list before I purchased, but sadly I don't see myself getting much use out of the pack for the AP.
I really like the item card sets. I think they are a great addition to the game and can be very helpful. My only issue with these sets are that you get cards like "wheel" or "Peg-leg".... Ok, there can be some obscure magic items in the game but am I going to use them? As a player or DM? If all the items where more useful things it would be better. I would think about a 5 star rating then. But over all a nice product.
Kieran Yanner does some lovely art in this set. Great items on the whole. This set adds some much needed black powder weaponry to the Gamemastery lineup. There were more holy symbols than I expected/wanted and I would have liked to see another musket. The one provided is quite elaborate so it would have been nice to have a second one of a slightly more generic nature. All in all a great set. I highly recommend it.
