No one doubts the power of the gods! Deities of healing, fiendish lords of destruction, spirits of the land, and entities from beyond the stars all receive reverence in their own sanctums and sacred sites. Whether your heroes need healing or are thwarting an enemy cult, no Game Master wants to spend time drawing idols and altars. Fortunately, with Paizo Publishing’s latest GameMastery Map Pack, you don’t have to! This line of gaming accessories provides simple and elegant tools for the busy Game Master.

Inside, you’ll find 18 captivating 5" × 8" map tiles that can be combined into a variety of serene sanctuaries and sinister shrines, including:

Versatile Set of Shrine Maps!

5/5

The Shrines map pack makes my recommended list because of the diversity of the tiles included. They are adaptable to almost any fantasy environment as you have woodland shrines, open temples, stone circles and even subterranean shrines at your disposal.

Pick up this pack to add a touch of the divine presence to any environment. Works well in conjunction with forest maps, dungeon maps and even urban sprawls.

Better than some

2/5

While a GM is unlikely to use more than half the sites covered, at least the art is crisp & attractive, unlike many sets in this line.

Just announced! The image is a mockup, and does not illustrate an actual tile from this set.

Interesting! Will there be a description of which maps would fit best for the Golarion deities?

Map Packs are designed to be useful for any system, so no... but I bet you can come up with a pretty good list from the names alone!

Is this going to go with a flip mat like the shops and and city? That worked pretty well actually for an encounter. I take it from the shrine names that the answer is "no." Though, I guess I could wander over to the flipmat section and take a gander for myself.

Edit:Nope, didn't see anything on the flipmat side.

Seems unlikely that a bunch of shrines would go well with a single flip mat, but it's not like I haven't been wrong before :)

Yeah, I agree. I was just curious because with the shops/city and upcoming crypt/necropolis combos, I wasn't sure if that was a new direction they were going in. However, the magic academy is a stand alone as well. The combo of flipmat and map pack works pretty well.

They do, don't they? I really like the new direction, but I'm glad they are not restrictint themselves to map packs and flip mats that go together.

We've updated the image and description to match the finished product, and added sample tile images.

Nice, a Cthulhu shrine! I can see a number of these shrines working well with some of the other map packs like the Ruins.

Silver Crusade

Indeed. These will make for great locales for boss fights.

Maybe its just me, but aren't there supposed to be samples of the tiles? I cannot find any relevant links/images :(

Sorry for *bumping*, just wanted to bring this to attention after the weekend :)

Fine shrine! Wish it were mine!

*ahem* I'll see myself out...

Paizo Employee

Just picked up one of these on sale locally & love that they can take markers (though I can't imagine "improving" anything on them).

Alas, the final tile was damaged, apparently in production as the packaging was intact and the back cover was fine. Cthulhu's shrine has several visible scratches in the coating, probably from his victims, but still...

Anyone else had this problem? I'd take it back for exchange but this was the last one, and since it was buy 1 get 1 half off I'd lose the savings if I returned it. Any suggestions?
