Too bad they didn't create a Hive domain and an Arachnid domain while they were adding all those vermin companions. Still, I'm quite happy for what druids did get.

Ooooohh...
So, how does the magus look compared to the last playtest version we saw? Any big differences that jump out at you?
Some minor wording tweaks in the Magus Arcanas it looks like, also pool spell is now spell recall and improved spell recall pretty much seems to give you an extra casting of an already prepared spell when you use your arcane pool. The greater pool spell is now greater spell access which adds a bunch of spells from the wizard sorcerer list to the magus list.

Cool.
What about the magus archetypes? Are they looking good? What can you tell us about them that hasn't been revealed on these forums yet?
Thanks for fielding questions for us, BTW.

Yea, pretty much prepare to be overwhelmed for a few days just trying to get through the book. Basically remember when the APG came out. ;)

I am curious about two archetypes in particular:
Druids get new Arch-types:
Pack Lord
Reincarnated Druid
Just what are they like, generally speaking? I have the idea that the Packlord has a small army of animal companions, and the reincarnated druid was, well, reincarnated. But how does that affect his class abilities as a druid?

No problems.
The archetypes are pretty cool (at least I think so I now plan on playing a black blade in an upcoming Carrion Crown game)
Bladebound as has been said gets essentially a weapon familiar with some unique features such as being able to teleport it to you from as far as a mile away at level 9
a Hexcrafter can exchange arcana choices for witch hexes
a Spellblade gets a summonable force dagger that has a few neat tricks like not taking up the hand its in unless its being used to attack
And a staff magus is just that instead of using light or one handed weapons he uses a quarter staff and gets a few staff fighting feats for free.

Class is more resilient, your resist nature lure becomes a resist death lure, and there is some other stuff in there, it isn't a huge archtype, just a little flavour for the druid who can't figure out how to decompose.

Sounds good.
Simple question; Didn't see it answered...
How different/what are the differences between the playtest and the final Magus?
Cheers

I want to start out by thanking everyone who has posted answers to questions thus far (especially Dark Mistress).
I'm looking forward to downloading my copy of the PDF on May 18th but I am playing in a game this Saturday where I am playing a 4th level Red Dragon Bloodline Sorcerer using the Words of Power system from the playtest.
1) I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there have been any major changes to the system since the playtest?
2) Overall do the words cover the same broad spectrum of normal spell casting?
3) Any equivalent spells to vanish or shield?
4) Any meta words to extend duration of spells?
5) Any changes to the word burning feat?
6) How did they resolve the conflict in rules from the playtest as to how the duration of multiple effects are tracked?
7) Did they make it so Detect Magic can now be used as a 0-level instead of 1st level spell? Thanks for any answers anyone feels like giving...
I haven't even looked at that section yet and I just woke up. :) I figure 5 hours is plenty of sleep.

Thanks DM. Whenever you get to that section any insight would be appreciated. I'm more curious if any of the words my PC is using have changed but I think it would be a bit much to ask you to compare the playtest version of the Words with the current version.

So the new Summoner stuff...How Final Fantasy 10 does it go? Will it let you summon various Eidolons who each have different builds? Can you get more than one at a time to fight for you?
Someone already posted that the Broodmaster archetype lets you control multiple eidolons, the Synthesist allows you to "wear" your eidolon like the Guyver with you keeping your mental stats and using its physical stats, the Evolutionist archetype lets you change up your eidolon's evolutions each day, and we still have no clue what the Master Summoner archetype does for you.
Also, Dark Mistress stated that they get 16 new evolutions.

Same situation here; however, Paizo is on West coast time and it is about 2pm there right now. There is still time for it to happen today.

How does shipping pan out? I'd like to make a Magus for use in tonight's session, but I /just/ became a subscriber. I assume that mine will get printed after everyone else's meaning that I won't have the PDF by tonight's session?
I'm afraid you might need a few ranks in Knowledge (arcana) to understand how it plays out. I have been a subscriber for many moons and I still don't have my UM PDF. I think they ship orders out based on how similar most of the orders are. So, if most orders are 1 book they ship all of those first. Then, if the second largest group of orders are 2 of the same books, they send those next, and so on. I think my hold up is that I am expecting three (Ultimate Magic, Carrion Crown 3, and Rival Guide). Having that many items probably puts me near the tail end of everything.
*Le sigh*

Ah, lucky for me, I spoiled myself with separate shipping. Let's just hope you're right. Come on, Paizo. Mama needs a new pair of spells!

How the subscribition release works is loosely that they look at the groups of the same items going out -so say all those just getting UM, or those getting it and CC#3. they will then send out everyone in that group in a row, with it taking as long as it takes to get everything out. However they'll often have more people in the warehouse -often even the CEO getting things out!
Also, if you started subscribing after about Thursday last week you're probably after the previously added groups.
