Another Mongoose book. Looks like they are going to wade into the Pathfinder waters.

Liberty's Edge

No PDF?

The days are long past when I could/would plunk down $25+ dollars for a hardcopy of anything beyond a core rulebook (if that). I don't know Mongoose's business plan, but I think they're really hurting themselves.

Plus, I can't read a printed publication on my Nook Color.

Amen to that, brah.

Especially from Mongoose, whose track record regarding editing and quality of content has always been....shaky.

Reviewed here, on DTRPG and sent to GMS magazine - Mongoose at their very worst. *shakes head*

Thanks for jumping on that grenade for our sakes, soldier.

salutes

srsly Mongoose, you made Conan RPG. You can do better than this!

Thanks for the appreciative words, Mikaze! This book made me curse every bit of toner that went into printing out this pile of garbage. Warning everyone who cares to read the review at least may make something positive come out of it. *sigh*

Cheers,

That's because this is a 3.5 book just repacked. Just like there other recent release. I have the original book. I bought it when they had the big blow out sale of 3.5 stuff. This is the first section of three from their Classic Play Book of Adventuring which is over twice the size of this and gets into some other stuff. Though this section was the most useful when it came out.

*sigh* Guess that means the Guide to Planes will suck just as much. Awesome. And now I've started doing these, I'll have to complete them. -.-

Oh well, thanks for the info, D_M!

Yeah I would imagine all of the books of this line will just be repacked versions of their 3.5 books sadly. Wish they would at least update them with all the new Pathfinder classes etc.

The original book Classic Play: Book of the Planes was just filled with awesome ideas. There is a unique cosmology in it that is very good.
