Be warned, this module may be slightly disturbing to some!
The players awaken on a pile of dead bodies. They have no memory of how they got there or what events led them to this point. They do know that it will be night soon and that a storm is on the horizon. They must seek shelter from the packs of plague hounds that hunt the wastes. Their only salvation is the ancient ruins of a forgotten city. Yet amongst the fallen walls of this dark place hides a secret of great suffering.
These strangers must join forces as a crew. They must use every skill and stick together if they are to survive this horrifying nightmare, a city without light where every shadow hides a wicked hunter, where factions of undead clans war against each other over control and power. Will they survive even one night in this place of horror? Will they live to see the day?
This module is for use with the Chaos 6010 A.D. role-playing game, a fantasy/ sci-fi RPG of ultimate survival. Although it can be modified to fit any RPG campaign setting of post-apocalyptic/ survival/ horror, it is intended for first level Chaos crews. This series of adventures is intended for mature readers.
This module is an excellent tool for novice GMs to learn the trade. It uses detailed descriptions for the game master to read to the players for basically every room of the vast Necropolis. It teaches GMs how to use the module alongside the Chaos 6010 A.D. rulebook and gives helpful hints on guiding your players through each story.
Pray for Dawn is set up so that it can be played several times with different outcomes and several different areas to visit. Each house holds a new story, each street a new enemy; every one of them disturbing and twisted in their own way. Do the players have what it takes to survive until dawn?
