Product Unusable

1/5

I just bought several Dave Gratham models to present as a birthday present to a friend. I guess I'll be showing up to the party empty-handed.

Here's the problem: I don't print to 8.5x11 pages. I use a large-format plotter. I had hoped to extract the pages to individual PDFs, mosaic the PDFs onto a a couple large sheets of paper (44"x44") in Illustrator, and print them all at once. Sound good? Wrong...

These PDFs have a security associated with them that does not allow you to extract the pages. Ugh, I thought I bought the product. Was I supposed to know I would not have full access to my purchase? I did not. I guess I'm not used to this ITunes mentality whereby if I purchase something, I don't necessarily own it. Disgusting. What's most annoying is that their website does not offer any 'contact us' information for me to address the issue.

Well see how venomous I'm feeling later, but I may repeat this review for all the unusable models I just purchased. I would happily re-rate this product if the company contacted me with a way to help me with my problem, or I could remove my review if they reimbursed my expense. Until then, I just paid a $15 for digital trash.

Happy Birthday MPZ

What kind of review is that? All you do is whine about not being able to combine the smaller pages onto a larger one. Well I hate to break it to you but this is not a concern for most of us. Besides, it tells you right in the description how many pages are printed and they don't tell you it can be combined. What is important and what we want to know is the quality of the graphics; does it do what it says it will; how hard is it to put together? These are the primary issues needing to be addressed, Would you kindly "deign" to address these much more important aspects please?
Thank you.
