Shalelu hears the commotion behind them and see's Ahreni dart off back toward their group. She stands her ground, trying her best to stay behind cover or out of sight as she looses arrows toward the cats harassing her friends.

Thanara's blast catches both creatures with her electric blast, but injures one leopard more than the other.

Ahreni is too far to melee and charges ahead as fast as she can, closing within 15' of the creatures.

Shalelu's first attack misses, but she manages to sink her second arrow into the red-colored leopard.

Relisha's leopard bites and claws her, opening new wounds on the tiefling. Damage Relisha: 1d6 + 3 + 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (3) + 3 = 10

Olaff tears into the leopard, but it stays on its feet. It lets go of Olaff, bugrappled, tears into him again with its claws Olaff Damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7.

Seeing the one tearing into Relisha Shalelu focuses her fire on that one. She is having to do her best to control her breathing as she feels her insides twisting in knots. She manages to push down her feelings, but it distracts her from her aim.

Another long pause and then the shifter starts looking sideways at Shalelu again. "So... want to go 'scout'?" The emphasis is quite clear. "Can't attack yet. Too light. So..."

The women of the group come together in a series of attacks that finish up the mostly injured cats. Both leopards drop to the ground, disappearing in a puff of smoke a few moments later. Out of combat!

Let me know your intentions for sneaking, what you are trying to do and how you are doing it. As you approach the house, there is very clearly a celebration taking place with what appears to be most of the participants inside.

Shalelu quirks her brow to Ahreni's suggestion. They did indeed have time to kill before dark so she grins and nods as she calls out to the rest of their companions "Ahreni and I are going to go do a bit of scouting. We'll be back before nightfall so we can advance on the camp."

Now

Shalelu lowers her bow and cracks her neck seeing the summoned cats down. Staying in place she waves for Ahreni to come back up and join her. When the wolf girl gets close she notes "Let's see how many there are and if possible see if Ameiko is even here."

Want to get as close as we can, see how many guards are outside, and hopefully how many are inside. If there are any windows we can peek in to see if Ameiko is there that would be good. Just doing some forward scouting to give the group a better idea what we are walking into.

The shifter nods and slides up to join Shalelu, ready to advance through the darkness.

Shalelu and Ahreni give me stealth rolls please.

As you close the distance find the house ablaze with light and the sounds of boisterous celebration coming from within. It looks like someone is currently hosting a large feast from within the farmhouse. The farm’s sheds and barns hold at least a dozen or more mounts, and it is evident that a large crowd has gathered for this party, though there are no visible watchmen outside. The walls of the main house are constructed of courses of sod laid atop stone and there are no visible windows. There are two doors, one in the front and one in the rear.

Perception DC22:
A glance up the road shows another large party bearing torches, likely more revelers, approaching from a couple miles off, who will arrive within the hour.

Ahreni and Shalelu sneak up to the farmhouse, but without a lot of cover they find staying hidden more difficult than normal.

Despite that however, it appears that the party has all of the occupants engaged and their presence is not picked up on. After listening at the doors, they get the idea that there are around a dozen or so men inside the main hall, most of which sound like they may be drunk.

Thanara steps on as many sticks and branches as possible on our way to the house, making a fair bit of noise along the way. Luckily for her, the party in the farmhouse keeps the attention of everyone inside and no one notices her approach.

No windows, only two doors they were listening at. There doesn't appear to be any woman nor instruments from what can be heard.

Shalelu shoots Thanara a glare as she comes running up making a whole bunch of noise and just holds her hands up in a 'Really?" fashion.

Luckily it didn't seem like anyone inside noticed. Shae points to Than, then holds up her hand to indicate 'Stop' and points to the ground where she is standing hoping she will get the point to stay there, then puts her finger up to her lips to indicate quiet before slinking off to tell Rel and Olaff what they've found.

Getting back to the two others with no problem she notes "About a dozen people inside, seems drunk. Didn't hear a woman so not sure if they have Ameiko or not. We want to try being nice or just get the jump on them?"

After a second she adds "Oh, more coming down the road too. Probably get here in about an hour so not a lot of time either way."

"If they arre feastin' and drrinkin', someone vill come out to piss soon enough and ve can take him forr some ansverrs... but this can take too long and I vould prreferr to know vhat ve need beforre the otherr parrty arrives..."

He then scratches his beard, coming with another solution. "I'm going in. Vith this many people, therre is a good chance I might go unnoticed among all o' me kin inside and discover if Ameiko is in therre orr not and if they arre ourr friends orr enemies."

"Meanvhile, ye can block one o' the doorrs to cut them an escape rroute... if things go bad, I flee frrom the doorr I enterred and ve burrn it to the grround." Olaff suggests.

"We are burning nothing until we know for certain that Ameiko isn't in there," Relisha hisses back to the Ulfen.

Olaff frowns after Relisha's comment. "That is vhat I said, no? I'll go inside and discover vhat is goin' on and if they arre ourr enemies and if Ameiko is not inside, ve do it."

"No, that's not what you said so I'm clarifying," the tiefling says with narrowed eyes. "So get in there and find out if she's there or not."

Once the large man heads towards the entrance she'll assist the others in finding a way to block the other door.

Once everyone is out of sight, Olaff opens the door and steps inside the farmhouse.

The room he enters is a large feasting-hall, and the people inside are in the depths of a raucous feast. You see numerous Ulfen warriors, served by a variety of thralls. One thrall juggles for amusement, another pantomimes pretending to be different kinds of animals. A few huscarls stand guard at the doors, but others are weaving drunkenly, or passed out. Food comes in and out of the western door as the servants continually shuttle in new food and drink.

The long chamber has a sunken floor with 3-foot-high raised platforms along the sides for sleeping and sitting. The platforms are currently crowded with trestle tables and chests used for extra seating. A fire pit dominates the center of the floor.

The floor itself is covered with hay, and dug down three feet below ground level outside.

A good fourteen warriors are carousing in the hall (and you can hear that there are others in other parts of the building), served by the numerous thralls. Several are drunk, and some are passed out.

One thing becomes immediately clear however, all of these men wear the same lion armband that was worn by the raiders that attacked you on the river. You quickly surmise that the boat and the men that attacked from it were sent by Asvig Longthew.

Olaff sees a door to his northeast, a folding screen blocking a passage to the southwest and a door to the west.

As he enters, one of the servants turns to him and inspects his upper arm looking for something before addressing him in Skald.

Skald:
"What do you want"

As soon as Olaff enters the room and notices he won't be able to mingle with the rest of his kin due to the lack of the lion armband, he tries to improvise something. Since making up stories was not his forte, he tried to tell as much truth as it was possible. "For et par dage siden i Kalsgards havn så jeg en sydlig pige sælge en ulfenbåd med tegn på blod og kamp... Arils Hammer var hendes navn. Efter at have spurgt rundt fik jeg at vide, at hun var Asvig Longthews båd... regnede med, at han ville være på udkig efter flere mænd."

He looks around once more before continuing. "Hvis han har travlt med denne fest kan jeg vente eller vende tilbage en anden dag ... men jeg foretrækker virkelig at vente, spise og drikke selvfølgelig!"

"A couple days ago at Kalsgarrd's harrborr, I saw a southerrn girrl selling an Ulfen boat vith signs o' blood and battle... Arril's Hammerr vas herr name. Afterr askin' arround I vas told it vas Asvig Longthew's boat... figurred he vould be lookin' forr morre men."

"If he is busy vith this feast I can vait orr come back anotherr day... but I vould really prreferr to vait, eat and drrink of courrse!"

Shae waits outside behind the little wall at the entrance, her bow at the ready in case she hears a fight break out inside.

The servant listens to what Olaff has to say and then studies him for a moment before nodding. "Ah, ja, han har spurgt om hammeren.
  Asvig underholder sin kone i sit kammer i øjeblikket, jeg tror ikke, han ønsker at blive forstyrret. Han ville sandsynligvis være interesseret i at høre, hvad du har at sige dog, så kom ind og gør dig komfortabel. Tag en drink."

He steps out of the large Ulfen's way and claps his hands twice, bringing a servant girl over with a mug and a turkey leg for Olaff.

"Ah, yes, he's been asking about the Hammer. Asvig is entertaining his wife in his chamber at the moment, I don't think he be wanting to be disturbed. He would likely be interested to hear what you have to say however, so please come in and make yourself comfortable. Have a drink."

Shalelu looks to the others when there isn't immediate sound of a fight breaking out "Guess he got in ok. Hey, I'm going to go check out the stables make sure they don't have Ameiko tied up in there or something."

Ahreni nods, but stays by the door - Shae can scout just fine and someone may be needed to cover Olaff when he retreats.

With a genuine smile, Olaff accepts the turkey and the mug of ale. He then starts to walk around, engaging in some conversations with the other warriors to mingle with then and looking for any know faces.

As discreetly as he can, he then tries to scout the whole place looking for Ameiko and paying attention to their talk, offering his 'new friends' to get them more ale and food as often as he can as an excuse to move around.

Olaff moves around the room and holds his own, clearly made for this social gathering of half-drunk warriors. He doesn't see or hear of Ameiok or Ulf specifically, but he does pick up a few pieces of useful information.

Olaff:

This is a funeral feast for Asvig’s own ring-giver, an old jarl and renowned viking raider named Snorri Stone-Eye, who is scheduled to be burned with his funeral ship at the break of dawn.

Asvig ordered both the attack on your caravan by the Aril’s Hammer and the theft of Fynn Snaevald’s ancient Tian sword, a raid led by Asvig himself.

Asvig renterd Aril’s Hammer from the Rimerunners Guild and has frequent dealings with the merchant guild.

Asvig had the guide Ulf Gormundr captured but moved him from the farm—and again he did not reveal his reasons.

No one mentions a Tian girl, nor do they know where the sword or the guide are currently located but state that Asvig mentioned that Ulf would soon be joining Snorri Stone-Eye, so it’s probable at least one or all of them has been placed on the funeral ship to be burned to death.

Finally, there are numerous others who have yet to arrive at the celebration and likely those coming down the road are just late guests.

At Ahreni's suggestion Shalelu shakes her head "No, we may be able to get out of this without a massive fight still. It sounds like they have a boat somewhere and this is where the guide is at, waiting to be burnt? Maybe the stuck Ameiko in there too. Let's find this boat and see if we can't clear it out, since it sounds like it will be some time until they light it up, with more guests coming."

Olaff nods in agreement, while he eats the turkey. "Agrreed. Ve find the boat."

Then, thinking about the possibility of combat, he also gives another idea. "If ve decide ve vill fight them, ve should attack not those in the feast, but those that arre late." Finishing his food, he cleans the grease in his sleeve. "Ve can ambush them in the voods and those inside vill no hearr o' it... then ve can take those inside once they arre rreally drrunk, vhich vill not take too long accorrding to vhat I saw... if ve attack those inside firrst, ve can alerrt the ones that arre late and even rrisk having to fight both grroups at once."

If - as it seems - no one has any idea where the nearest body of water might be, then Relisha will begin walking back to the road.

"Ahreni! Shalelu! You two are the best hunters! We need to find that boat!" the tiefling snaps out, her voice beginning to crack at the end.

Back up the road, Olaff comes out all friendly like to stop then then we take them all down and wake one up at a time for questioning.

Olaff knows of a peninsula just west of Kalsgard called Spear-shaker's Point that is often used for funeral rites.

Decided on the ambush, the party moves back up the road in search of a location between the farmhouse and the approaching late arrivers. They find a nice second of land where the road rises on a hill that they can lay in way on the side of the road, hidden from the unsuspecting travelers.

Olaff emerges from the road, holding his half-eaten turkey leg in his hand and acting the party of a lost, drunk Ulfen. He finds four more warriors similar to those inside of the farmhouse, all wearing gold lion armbands. Before they understand what's happened, the party collapses on them and quickly subdues the unsuspecting warriors.

Dousing their torches and binding their prisoners, the party moves them off the road a bit and prepares to question them.

Please commence questioning.

Once they have the prisoners secured and they can't start questioning them Shalelu finds one holds them down with her foot and nooks and arrow pointing it directly at the Ulfen's eye "Tell us where the funeral ship is going to be set on fire!"

Before they leave them, Thanara stalks around them and tears a small bit of hair from each one. She holds the hair up and mutters some arcane sounding nonsense, using her magic to cause lightning to dance along her hands and to the hair and back, before she turns to them and says with a sinister look in her eyes ”Know this. We are connected now. I see and hear everything you say. I know what you think. You even consider trying to take any action against us or warning anyone, and I will bring all the fury of the skies down upon you, and trust me that you cannot escape it,” She pauses long enough to let her eyes fill with electricity before adding ”Unless you can outrun a lightning bolt.”

Just to add to Thanara's threat, Relisha reaches out and touches each of them, creating a life link with each for just enough time for them to feel the spiritual contact, before releasing it.

"Leave them," she says, turning away. "If they wish their death to be from a strike from the sky, that's their choice."

Relisha will push everyone as hard as she can to make the fastest speed possible to Spear-Shaker's Point.
