Summon up some help for your game with 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming's Player's Aid II: Monster Summoning Cards!

With templates—even the simplified templates of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary—and bonuses from feats, summoning monsters on the fly can be a time-consuming process and drag the action to a halt. As a GM, whenever we know the player's are going to confront a spellcaster with a Summon Monster spell readied, we always have the creature stats handy for when it appears, but players don't always know when they are going to cast a Summon Monster spell.

To aid players of spellcasters and to make all other players and GMs happier people, we proudly present Player's Aid II: Monster Summoning Cards. Each card contains a stat block for a creature on the monster summoning lists in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook. Where applicable, you will find both a celestial and a fiendish variant of creatures, and each stat block also includes the necessary adjustments to the creature if your spellcaster has the Augment Summoning feat.

Now, with these cards, your GM and the other players won't groan in frustration when you announce you are going to summon a monster! You simply find the card of the creature you want to summon and—ta-da!—you are ready to go!

The fifth printing of the Core Rulebook changed the Riding Dog from Summon Monster I to a regular dog as well, any chance this could be updated in the PDF?
We will be updating that!

Robert,

Has the Riding Dog been changed to Dog for Summon Monster I? I went to your web site and the sample cards still shows Riding Dog. Also, same question for the Andriod app.

Hi David,

Everything on our Monster Summoning cards seems to be up to date. According to the errata and to the official PRD, Summon Monster I still remains a riding dog.

The Summon Nature's Ally spell did change the riding dog to dog, and we have changed that in our Nature's Ally Summoning Cards.

Ummm, I think the Viper Summon Monster I is incorrect. All the sources I've found use the Viper familiar for stats and the one on the card is Venomous Snake in the bestiary.

I am going to definitly pick this up but am curious if the summon monster also includes the alternate shadow monsters for the shadow caller archtype for summoner from the advanced race guide (fetchling)

I just re-downloaded and looked over my copy. It does not include alternate shadow monsters, though, I confess that I am not familiar with that archetype so I'm not sure how the monsters would differ.

This product does not include options from the advanced race guide.

the change is that planar types such as elementals are replaced

Summon Monster I: No changes.

Summon Monster II: A shadow caller cannot summon Small elementals or lemures, but instead can summon zoogs.

Summon Monster III: A shadow caller cannot summon dretches or lantern archons, but can summon augur kytons.

Summon Monster IV: A shadow caller cannot summon Medium elementals, hell hounds, hound archons, or mephits, but can summon allips , gloomwings , and shadows.

Summon Monster V: A shadow caller cannot summon babau, bearded devils, bralani azatas, Large elementals, salamanders, or xills, but can summon shadow mastiffs and shae.

Summon Monster VI: A shadow caller cannot summon Huge elementals, erinyes, lillend azatas, or succubi, but can summon cloakers.

Summon Monster VII: A shadow caller cannot summon bebiliths, bone devils, greater elementals, or vrocks, but can summon greater shadows.

Summon Monster VIII: A shadow caller can only summon derghodaemons and young umbral dragons.

Summon Monster IX: A shadow caller can only summon interlocutor kytons and nightwings.

I have a player in my game playing this character and i must admit, i love the archtype.

Osirion

Have the cards been updated with Monster Manual 2 & 3 releases? Also are the new elemental types like ice, mud, magama... etc included?

Thanks in advance.

The product has not been updated to cover those variants. This product was done under 4WFG and I do not have the source files. To update it would require a complete rebuild of the product at this time. Which is currently not our production schedule.

So let's just say I am considering updating this product. What needs to be in the update? (for those of us not using summoning classes much).
