Detail in the items are key to maintain the "Unique" item status for the card sets. If every longsword or bow looks similar from set to set then why buy new sets? Over all a good selection of items though.

GameMastery Item Cards: Weapons Locker Deck

Art art art.......Need to step up on the art for the cards. (5 stars)Philip Dhollanderhttps://paizo.com/products/btpy87do?GameMastery-Item-Cards-Weapons-Locker-Deck2012-02-05T18:16:14Z
GameMastery Item Cards: Weapons Locker Deck

You simply cannot have enough armors and weapons. And this set does exactly that with almost every weapon out there, some with a twist or an innovative description. Gets the creative juices flowing from a GM's point, alsso from a player's point of view (give a cool description and players make up their own backstories for the weapons which the GM can then use, or not). Excellent stuff, love them!

GameMastery Item Cards: Weapons Locker Deck

You simply cannot have enough armors and weapons. Most items look a bit too cartoony, and several of the swords, especially the bastard sword, look a bit weird, with hilts that are too small and thin for their blades. Many of the other weapons are roundish and "bubbly", not managing to give you the sense that they are made from hard wood and sharp metal.
That said, there are some really great pieces in here that I will be using in my games, and the quality of the cards themselves are very good, although the art is disappointing.

GameMastery Item Cards: Weapons Locker Deck

I didn't like the style of the art on these cards very much. Having a 54 card deck of just weapons is a very good plan. Some of the weapons in this set are interesting or slightly strange/unusual, which is fine by me. I wouldn't mind seeing more of that.

What I'd really like to see next is a 54 card deck entirely full of armor. Or maybe armor and clothing.

Oh, to clear something up real quick, this set was not actually done by the same artist as Second Darkness.

GameMastery Item Cards: Weapons Locker Deck

Really, every GM knows that regardless of whatever awesome and curious magic items and artifacts he throws out there, what the players want most is magic weapons. I was disappointed with the art of several of the weapons, though most of them were good enough with a couple being amazing. In particular, the spear looked too elaborate, even if it was magical.

The weapon labeled as falchoin isn't even a falchoin. It is a type of short sword, and the handle clearly isn't for two handed use.

Beside those complaints I am happy with the product and will be using them as often as I can.

GameMastery Item Cards: Weapons Locker Deck

I looked through all the cards as soon as I received the pack and I was happy to see all the weapons.
