At the dawn of the 1980s, TSR licensed LJN to produce an official toy line for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. One of the last action figures they produced was the Hook Horror, with a cool "slicing-arms" action feature.
Paizo has acquired the final inventory lot of this magnificent monster. The action figure comes without the original packaging, and has acquired small amounts of wear from 25 years of warehouse movement (if you're looking for mint-on-card action figures, you should look elsewhere). However, if you want a piece of TSR history and a cool AD&D action figure to decorate your cube, bookshelf, or gaming table, then this figure may be just the thing for you!
I amazingly still have my original Hook Horror action figure from my childhood, but was happy to see there are still some out there, This guy was one of my favorite toys as a child.
When Lisa sauntered back here and to tell us she'd discovered a ton of these old D&D action figures I had to pounce! "Mr. Pinchy" now looks down upon my cube as I edit Pathfinder, an ever-present reminder of editions past and how good it is it have thumbs.
I bought this from a link in an email and it didn't mention the "without the original packaging, and has acquired small amounts of wear from 25 years of warehouse movement" part. I see the website entry now mentions that, however I failed to either ask about or see this text and my small amount of shelf wear looks more like this hook horror had a playground match against someones Warduke figure a few times. I got excited and click happy when I saw this offer and bought too quickly maybe. My fault. Kudos for the offer though, and I would actually buy more if they looked like the picture above.
