Eliah Daring |
Sorry for the long delay everyone. The summer is a pretty busy time for me so it's easy to forget to check!
"Loathe as I am to agree with my companion, I don't think we'll be finding our way out of here in your cottage." Eliah gathers her belongings, though she leaves her bedroll gathered in the corner. The poor woman deserved a decent place to sleep, but Eliah never felt comfortable accepting thanks. 'I can probably scrounge up some brush on the trail... Hells, I've slept on worse.'
"Thank you again, Free, for the chance to rest. Before we go, is there anything you know about this place that might help us? Perhaps pointing us in the right direction."

The old semi-human could provide no assistance other than to be careful and head north.
It was a difficult journey to get to the mountains, let alone the sea, and the two felt as if they were guided by divine hands if only because no enemies dared approach them for some time.
It wasn't until they reached the trees of the foothills that they began to feel unnerved anew.
The second trip out for the expeditionary party went pretty uneventfully. There was more grassland by the river, and the wild fauna behaved as it was apt to.
It grew dark, and the party realized they'd have to camp away from the inn if they were to make any progress at all. Thankfully, those who stayed behind at the establishment were prepared for this eventuality.
The stars were in the wrong places, and the chirps of crickets were quieter than anyone involved were used to, but the air was crisp and clean.
Tuich |
The stars were in the wrong places...
Wrong as they've been since we got here, or do you mean even "wronger" now?
We should set a watch order, yes?
