So much more immersive than conventional "pen & paper" recording of your hard earned loot, Campaign Coins creates more opportunities for creative roleplaying as you actually hand over cash at your local tavern, bribe a town guard to look the other way or pay passage to the next exotic port!

Campaign Coins offers a high-quality, "real-feel" fantasy game monetary system with actual metal coins representing the various metals and denominations commonly found in popular gaming systems. With numerous coins representing larger amounts including limited edition collectors' coins, it's easy to replicate even larger amounts of loot such as a dragon's hoard.

Game Masters, reward your players with cold, hard gold after an epic battle or the plundering of a long lost tomb. Players, equip yourself with a belt pouch and guard your precious coin.

Each box contains 120 detailed coins depicting four metal types in 1, 10, 100, and 1000 denominations and 1 random 500 denomination collectable coin.

    Coin breakdown in each box:
  • "copper" finish: 10x1, 10x10, 5x100, 5x1000
  • "silver" finish: 10x1, 10x10, 5x100, 5x1000
  • "gold" finish: 10x1, 10x10, 5x100, 5x1000
  • "platinum" finish: 10x1, 10x10, 5x100, 5x1000
  • ...plus one random-finish 500

You get all these—121 coins—in one box!

Excellent!

I'm a sucker for props. I even construct paper walls to build 3D dungeon crawls for my table and these are my new favorite thing! I only have 1 starter set so I use it to give the table loot, but plan on buying a few more, and the boosters, to make the currency live at the table. I have been running my table for close to a year and these are my new favorite thing.

Quality is exceptional and I've seen some great ideas on how to utilize them aside from just currency. If you have some discretionary income I recommend giving the a try. Also, the company that makes them will be at Gencon 2013, so start saving!

Edit: I bought 7 boosters (10 pack of coins) and another starter box. I have my 7 PCs use the coins as currency. If they don't have the coins, they don't have the money. I quickly ran out of gold and platinum and the silver and copper seemed wasted. I decided that we will only use gold and platinum. My reserves tripled! There is a whole new feel to money for them and me. I also have little chests for each of them. The jingle is good!

Edit #2: Bought 9 more boosters and 2 sets of 12 coins. I can't get enough of these. Of the whole set I am only missing the 20gp, 50gp and 3 of the 500 valued ones. (I have 2 of the 500gp; only come in starter boxes) Next up: 10,20, and 50 bars; I'm going to make them valued at x1000. If you only use Gold and Platinum in your campaign, meaning copper, silver and gold coins all represent gold and platinum is platinum, then you will have plenty of coins to get started!

One of the best game props ever

I've purchased 4 starter sets and a bunch of the extra packs for my group of four players. They are a wonderful aid that makes the players appreciate the coinage they receive. I no longer tell them how much they get from an encounter...instead, I hand them a bag filled with the coins. I suggest that the DM get a bunch of small zip lock baggies and put the coins for each encounter in a seperate bag before the session. That way, there is no wasted time while the DM searches through his coins for the right denomination. Excellent product and the highest quality. Truly a wonderful addition to any game of Pathfinder....now if they only made gems...

Great Prop

These are a really fun game prop. Some tips for people looking to get these: be prepared to get two starters. They are a lot more cost-efficient than buying little packs (though supplementing with the small packs of ones you'd like isn't a bad idea) and it's hard to support a group of players with just one set. Also works great if you have a small dice bag for each player to keep theirs in. My players each keep their dice/coins/minis/item cards in colored felt pouches. The coins themselves are awesome quality. Only 4-stars because of the price really.

Definately worth it.

Get two. seriously. I bought these and I loved them so much I got a second pack. and then a pack of 10 of each of the new denominations. I keep them in a velvet bag, and when you toss the bag around it makes the best fantasy sound ever. the jingle of money. beautiful detail, makes for an amazing prop, definately 5 of 5

Good money!

A wonderful product, very useful at the gaming table, a conversation piece.
One tip: If you're ordering from Europe, do NOT choose regular mail-delivery, it will take ages (way more than the 36 business days they predict). I ordered from The Netherlands, waited over 45 business days AND had to pay an extra €25,- on delivery!
