I don't Xantria is one of our heavier melee hitters. Not so justifiable for Richard a masterwork one will do. I'm mostly trying to set up flanks or tie up opponents.
Mykhael Medvyed |
Good night.
Niadroub Kliip |
Ok, aside from the spellbook, I'm interested in those flaming crossbow bolts. I don't think anybody else here uses a crossbow, so I'll go ahead and add those to my sheet.
Can anyone else use the wand of magic missile?
I'm also interested in the bracers of natural armor as that's one of the few armors I can use, but they should go to a melee character that wants them first, obviously. When they get replaced, I'll happily take them off whomever's hands.
Mykhael Medvyed |
Have at it.
Richard Harmon |
They are just bracers of armor, they don't stack with armour so you're the only one who'll benefit from them.
I have no issue with you taking the above gear. Those flaming bolts should help you get by til we hit level four I suspect.

Sorry, posted in the wrong section.
Chief Sootscale is taken aback by your offer. Pacing to and fro while muttering to himself for several minutes. Finally he nods. "Yes. You have done us good. We will join your 'Kingdom'. Law is good, and so is not having to fight against those who try to take our home."
He is sincerely grateful for your aid in removing Tartuk, and hopeful that his tribe can begin to grow again. And be able to build a more civilized and secure existence than most Kobolds get to have.
So where to now? You still have the remaining intruder base to deal with, and the Stag lord with his crew.

Hey gang, I’m traveling on Spring Break with the kids, so I won’t have time to post until tonight. Before we head out to take on the Stag Lord, Niadroub Kliip is going to want to try and learn a few of those spells from Tartuk’s spellbook. Other than that, I’m ready to go. I’ll make the rolls tonight.
Mykhael Medvyed |
Enjoy!
Niadroub Kliip |
Thanks!

DC 16 for both of these rolls:
cause fear: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
reduce person: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
There we go! Ready to go.

Well we've got some of his booze still and the password but they may have changed that.
Or we could try stealthing up?
Mykhael Medvyed |
I like the idea of trying to use the password.
Elena Voritzova |
Any plans for how you approach the Stag lords fort?
Let's have a priest of Abadar write him a stern letter! :)
I'm good with the stealth plan. Elena isn't especially stealthy (+1), but she doesn't need to get too close.
Niadroub Kliip |
We have it from two different sources that the Stag Lord is a drunk. One of his bandits told us that, and the letter from the agent in Galt also mentioned that. We’re not a particularly stealthy group, and it is a fortified compound. Stealth is risky. We could bring the herbal liquor as a gift to work our way inside. Of course, I’m not particularly tricky, either, so bluffing is also risky.
Richard Harmon |
Crap, the site ate my post, I'll have one up soon. I can't recall the password OOC right now.
Mykhael Medvyed |
Sorry, missed your update. Thanks for the nudge.
Mykhael Medvyed |
No worries, hope all is well.
Richard Harmon |
No problem, I hope it all works out.
Niadroub Kliip |
I hope things are going well, DBH.
All, I've deleted the herbal liquor from the party loot, since I'm assuming we have the Stag Lord all 8 bottles.
And I've removed Svetlana's wedding ring.
Xantria Aldori |
Ended up helping my mother with her garden. Which translates to me doing all the digging and heavy lifting while she gives me orders from her comfortable chair. :)
I don't think that's exclusive to your mum. :P
Richard Harmon |
Not sure if people want to start openly attacking or pulling back and letting them duke it out with the owlbear... a more important point is I'm not going to withdraw faster than the lame guy.
Niadroub Kliip |
I'm going to try and take out the bandit at the top of Z3A. I have a potion of vanish if things go south. Then I was planning on using the tower's cover and the wand of magic missile to take out the bandit at the top of Z2B.
Mykhael Medvyed |
I will be on the road traveling over the next 24 hours please bot me as necessary.
Richard Harmon |
Feel free to attack them if ye want. Richard going for the owlbear will only add to the confussion if the bandits see others attacking them. Akiros is within melee range for a bunch of the party. I wish I was by Niadroub in hindsight.
Mykhael Medvyed |
Sorry I was looking at the map from my phone and didn't realize that was Akiros near the party.
Richard Harmon |
Richard can play really confused if you change your action to stabbing him...
Mykhael Medvyed |
No worries enjoy!
Elena Voritzova |
Guys, I've been getting over a throat infection that slowed me down a lot more than I expected. Hopefully I will get things back to normal this weekend.
Colwyn the Toad |
Hopefully everyone who needs a rest can get one.
Xantria Aldori |
Honestly not sure what to do here - if this were, say, Far Cry (got 4 recently so got it a bit on the brain at the moment), then I'd have hidden well away from the fight until after the owlbear was dead or it had killed all the bandits.
Mind you; I'd also be on a nearby cliff firing down into them with a sniper rifle, but that's beside the point. But the entanglement area is also hampering me a bit. Might have an idea after dinner, though, but odds are Xan'll just be moving to tie up the guy chasing after Mr Indecipherable. :P
Mykhael Medvyed |
Ouch! Hope you feel better.
Richard Harmon |
Get well soon!
Colwyn the Toad |
Yeah, sorry to hear that. Get some rest.

The Stag Lord’s Gear The Stag Lord possesses two unusual magic items, both of which he found amid the ruins of the fort when he first arrived in the area. The first is his suit of +1 leather armor; this suit consists of a heavy cloak, gloves, kilt, and boots, but leaves his chest bare—although the armor looks incomplete, it actually functions just as well as any suit of magic leather armor.
His second unusual item is his distinctive helmet.
Stag’s Helm
Aura faint divination; CL 5th
Slot head; Price 3,500 gp; Weight 3 lbs.
Description
This striking helmet is crafted to resemble the skull of a mighty stag. Although made from bone, the antlers and helm are as strong as metal. When worn, the helm greatly enhances eyesight and hearing, granting a +2 competence bonus on Perception checks.
In addition, once per day the helm may be called upon to enhance any ranged attack made by the wearer to make an insightful shot.
Activating this ability is a free action, and once activated, your next
ranged attack against a target within 30 feet is made as if that target were flat-footed against you—this allows a rogue to gain the benefit of sneak attack with this shot.
If you don’t make a ranged attack within 1 round of activating this power, the insight fades and is wasted for that day.
A worshiper of Erastil who wears this helm may utilize the insightful shot ability up to 3 times per day.
