Hey!

Finally in our game we were able to get our first scroll, but not sure how can it be used.

Our wizard is lvl 1 / universalist, the scroll is scroll of fireball which appears to be a lvl 3 spell. My question is, how can this scroll be used or what is the process for the wizard to use it?

Thank you all for your answers! helped a lot!

I have another doubt here. If the Wizard has a dagger in his hand, and wants to draw a wand, can he just put it on the other hand(not sure the action on this) or just withdraw the dagger and use a different movement to draw the wand?

Hello!

Im playing the BB with my family and we are starting with the black fangs dungeon right now to start learning the basics. My first question is regaring the wizard bonded item.

1.One of my PC´s chooses the wand as a bonded item, but my question will be, with this it can be any wand that can used, for example the magic missile one + one free spell per day from the book? or just a wand that can use one spell from the book/day?

2.Now, when the PC´s do a range attack with a dagger for example, the throw it, do they have to go where the hit the monster and pick it up or who those thot works?

I thinks that is all for now, the only thing i can say is that its a little difficult to GM for first time this game XD.

Hey All!

A few questions here. Im playing for the first time the black fangs quest and have some questions not actually related to the quest.

1. If for example, instead of appearing immediately on the map, our group walked from sandpoint to the cave entrance, how can we measure how many hours/time passed during the walk.

2. After reading some information on spells, they say that to prepare them a wizard needs to sleep for 8 hours and then 1 addl hour to read the book or something like that. So, if I get back to town for example before ending the quest and want to prepare some spells I have to sleep for 8 hours and use 1 for the spells, how could I know if its morning or something like that, or just do all of that and return like a new day?

then it should be a int mod of 3 wich makes his daily use of hand of the apprentice 6 times per day, there are some typos in these books but they are usually minor

Thank you for your help! probably i will just use information on the actual stats and if needed will just correct any weird stuff on the rest of the sheet.

INT means his inteligence modifier if his inteligence stat is 18 his modifier is 4

so 3+INT modifier=7

Thats something that i though, but the thing is for some reason the Erzen character sheet shows an int mod of +3... im not sure why, thats why i was sort of confused...

edit: now that i checked his int status is showing 17 not 18... maybe i have a defective beginner box...

Hello!

I was reviwing the information on Ezren character sheet in order to understand better how things work. I realized that Ezren has hand of the apprentice which per the heros book it should be 3 + INT to get total times to use per day, but im not able to figure out who it got to 7... Can someone just exlain that to me?

Hi!

I would like some information or explanation on how can I convert the core classes to the BB. I have read some articles but to be honest im not getting the idea on how to do it. Can someone guide on how to do this or maybe refer me to an easy document please :).

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

I'm extremely new to this game and I have some doubts about how actions outside combat are managed.

For example, at the start of the black fang's dungeon when PCs are not in combat they can inspect the statue, my question is, do they need to roll a perception check, does this check is also performed outside battle? Also regarding movement, can they move outside combat as they wish? No limit on how many feet they can move? And how many actions can a single pc can make outside battle.

sorry for the questions but I'm not really understanding this part.

If you don't already have it, download the official Beginner Box GM Kit, which includes advice on converting core content to use it with the Beginner Box.

For Beginner Box-compatible adventures, check out this thread, which links to Wayfinder (issues 9-13) and third-party content that supports it. It's tough to find third-party Beginner Box content because publishers can't legally use the words "Beginner Box" to describe it; many refer to it as basic Pathfinder or beginner's Pathfinder. (The Wayfinder content is free and uses a different license.)

If you want to add more spells and classes to the Beginner Box, check out EdOWar's site. He's converted many of the Pathfinder core classes and spells to use the Beginner Box rules.

Wayfinder and EdOWar both include monsters converted to use the Beginner Box rules.

If you instead want help converting Beginner Box characters to the Core rules, check the Transitions Guide. It's included in the more recent printings of the Beginner Box, but not the first print run.

Thank you for your help! your information definitely is very helpful, appreciate it!

Hello All!

Just to say that im very new to this type of games, and definitely hope to learn as much as I can with the beginner box. I was wondering, the actual information refers you to the core after playing this, also it has some demos to play that I found on this site but I would like to know, if theres any problem if after playing for a while and get used to the game I, for example get any other book, like one that adds more magic to the game.

Hope I can get some light on what to do or how can I add more material to this game.
