zammer, we need to know your stats, and whether or not its a Society char or home-game.

If a strong 2H paladin has any spare feats at all, one should go into EWP Fauchard -- you'll get reach, trip, and .5 dmg. over falchion; +2dmg if enlarged.

Doh! Sorry I forgot that!

1. This is for a Kingmaker campaign.

2. The group consists of a Wizard, a Rogue/Pathfinder Delver, and a Cleric of Cayden Cailean who only uses rapiers.

3. For stats, the DM rolled me a set of: 18, 13, 13, 13, 12, 18.

Thanks for all the help so far!

Hello,

I've read through Cryptic's & Thallin's guides on this board, but they're approaching 2 years old. So I was wondering if they've been updated, and if so where at? Or if not, could someone provide a nice build for a 2H human paladin by chance?

Thank you!

So something like this?

1 Pal EWP: Bsword Pwr Atk
2 Pal
3 Pal Cleave
4 Pal
5 Pal Mounted Combat
6 Pal
7 Pal Leadership
8 Pal
9 Pal Ride By Attack
10 Pal
11 Pal Spirited Charge
12 Pal
13 Pal Imp Critical
14 Pal
15 Pal Imp Bullrush
16 Pal
17 Pal Great Cleave
18 Pal
19 Pal Strike Back
20 Pal

TheOrangeOne: Yes, I'm interested in being a mounted Knight and fighting from horse back, then jumping down, or I presume crawl through a dungeon since Paizo seems to like those a lot and will invariably have several in Kingmaker.

Eric Mason: Unfortunately my paladin is the only possibility for a tank (2 rogues, 1 druid, 1 wizard) for the group. So I need to have some defense as well. Hence the Two Weapon build.

But for a Great Weapon build, what would you suggest?

And thank you both for the responses!

Good morning folks,

I am in the process of building a paladin for the Kingmaker adventure path and I would appreciate some advice on the build I plan to use.

Givens:
1. Race: Human
2. Class: Paladin of Erastil
3. Stat Rolls: 18 13 12 13 13 18

Preferences:
Currently I'm leaning towards going Sword & Shield with the following build:

1 Pal TWFight Imp Shield Bash
2 Pal
3 Pal Power Attack
4 Pal
5 Pal Mounted Combat
6 Pal
7 Pal Shield Slam
8 Pal
9 Pal Leadership
10 Pal
11 Pal Shield Master
12 Pal
13 Pal Cleave
14 Pal
15 Pal Great Cleave
16 Pal
17 Pal Strike Back
18 Pal
19 Pal x

Does anyone have any suggestions on ways to improve it? I looked at another build thread for a sword & board paladin, and it listed Imp & Greater Bullrush, but i wasn't sure why that is given that Shield Slam gives a free one. Is it because of the free AoO's provoked by Greater?

Thanks!
