About Virog Casisto

Appearance:
Virog Casisto is a small man, short of stature and slight of build, with swarthy skin. He wears his beard long enough to brush his chest and keeps his deep black hair past his shoulders. Both his hair and beard are braided with a symmetrical pattern of small stones and scrimshawed bone trinkets which spirals outwards from three yellow stones hanging equidistant from each other in his beard, winking out from the coarse hair like eyes.
Background:
A woodsman by birth, Virog was far too frail to handle the job long term. As he grew, he worked whatever job was necessary to make ends meet. Scribe, lawyer, researcher, even a surgeons apprentice for a short time. Eventually, he lost patience for standard employment and turned to work with much higher risk, but much greater rewards. Scouting, leading exploration groups, and even planning smuggling routes for caravans. Of the many jobs he’s taken since, he enjoyed the role of negotiating deals between bandit groups and brigands the most by far. A keen eye for value and a sharp tongue has led him to score a number of high value marks, and consistently score lower value marks when necessary. His current employment, with the pathfinder society, was more of a decision of convenience when he found himself working on location in Qadira with several members of the Exchange for several weeks.
Vilrog has no love of combat, and particularly dislikes fighting if he does not have the upper hand already. However, at most times this disdain is kept quiet in favor of suggesting more measured courses, lest people think him unwilling to act. If forced into combat, Vilrog prefers to fight from a safe distance, often retreating to call on allies before striking unexpectedly.

Special Abilities:
Blackened: Your hands and forearms are shriveled and blackened, as if you had plunged your arms into a blazing fire, and your thin, papery skin is sensitive to the touch. You take a –4 penalty on weapon attack rolls, but you add burning hands to your list of spells known. At 5th level, add scorching ray and flaming sphere to your list of spells known. At 10th level, add wall of fire to your list of spells known and your penalty on weapon attack rolls is reduced to –2. At 15th level, add delayed blast fireball to your list of spells known.
Sidestep Secret (Su): Your innate understanding of the universe has granted you preternatural reflexes and the uncanny ability to step out of danger at the very last second.
