Fun!

The title pretty well sums things up; this scenario was a joy to run and the players seemed to have a blast as well. They loved the colorful NPCs and exploring the Ascendant Court. I had less player “step away” time, and more overall focused attention throughout the game. We did run a little long, and if I could have gone back to do it again, I would have dropped one of the “thug” fights to make more room for the rest of the Awesome, but even then, it scores 5 stars and deserves every one.
As the GM, I liked the off the beaten path rules, and the creative settings and situations that left plenty of room for cinematic flourish. It reminded me why I love role-playing in general and why I love running in particular.
As a reader, I was struck by the quality of the writing. I’ll be honest, my requirements for PFS scenarios aren’t that high. If I get all the tools I need, I’m happy to leave the nit picking to someone else. But I enjoyed reading this scenario just to read it. That doesn’t happen to me very often.
My print out of The Gods Market Gamble has been added to my file of recurring scenarios. I will happily run this multiple times in the future.
