Excellent! I’m looking forward to anything and everything you can tell me about the GCP folks. It’s your fault I’ve lost at least 125 hours of my life laughing uproariously at their antics over the last several months, I figure giving me a report is the very least you can do. I’m also in need of reports on the play test, plus any seminars you may get into. Reports on almost anything will be great. Card game updates, lottery games, the banquet, and the trivia game are all on my wistfully missed list for this year.

I didn't get a chance to talk to the wild Blazej, though, before we were both on our way to our next events. Tonight, I have some small hope of finding a card game that is in need of players.
In between the above, and worthy of it's own post and then some, I met Motteditor, GM Extraordinaire. He is one of the reasons I tried my own hand at GMing Play by Posts. It is only for a moment, but I am thrilled to put a face to the name of someone I admire so much. I am hopeful that we will meet again before the end of the con.
Just finished breakfast with Painlord and Gabrielle _H. Great breakfast, tremendous snark. We discuss many things; tweets, politics, embarrassing Crystal Frazier stories (our embarrassment, not hers. She's amazing). And coffee, so much coffee. It is necessary and appreciated. Now Gabrielle and I are in the Writing for Usability seminar. Secret Super Heroes of Pathfinder; Christopher Carey, Judy Bauer, Lyz Liddell, and Joe Pacini, engage the audience with harrowing tales of battle against meandering rules explanations, serpentine titles, and elaborate font choices in their attempt to keep our games fun and accessible to experienced gamers and novices alike. They have colorful pens and they are not afraid to use them. I am awestruck and humbled by their service to both worlds.
I've made it to the con, only a few hours late. I ran into my favorite Pirate in the game store. We dropped our stuff in our room in the next county, then I headed to the ballroom where I found Painlord and Balodeck playing the Mummy's Mask card game. It's just in time for lunch so we headed to Mango to grab some food to go (delicious). The snark flows with us across the street and back again, then pools around our feet as Gabrielle and I join the next game with the two previous yahoos and David Montgomery, VC from the Massachusetts area., in the next game. It is good to get to play with old friends and new friends at the same time.
Gabrielle wrote: So, GEARS OF FAITH is finally here! .... I wrote this for us; I wrote it to help to normalize us. Thank you! I love this novel and it was well worth waiting for* (though I wish the wait hadn't been quite so long). Thank you for your envisioning a world with room for all of us. *: While I have occasionally been accused of bias when it comes to your work, please do not let that diminish your belief in my very real love for this novel. Had we never met, I would love it all the same.
Excellent! I've been waiting for this since before it was a thing and I can't wait to hold and read this! Also! Physical copies of Gabrielle's (first?) Hellmaw novel, "Of the Essence" are now available on her site. They're both gorgeous, but the hard cover is amazing.

Hi All, I'm very sorry for my absence from this game. I took the summer off to think about it and basically reached the conclusion that I will not be able to do this game justice going forward. I truly apologize for this, because you are a fantastic group and deserve better. I've thought about trying to find another GM to take over, but figured I should let you all weigh in on it before I do. No matter who runs this campaign from this point forward, it will be bulkier than the usual, due to the Mythic rules. I am very sorry, and if I reach a point again where I feel like I can be a realiable online gamer, I would be honored to play or run with any of you, but that is simply not something I can do right now.
Hey! Gears of Faith now has a cover picture on Goodreads!
Excellent! I clicked the clicky, New Zae and Keren and Appleslayer are on my "want to read" shelf. I also saw your latest novel listed so I was able to get a quick rating up (I finished it this afternoon). Do you have other things written that your fans should know about?

Fixed the links. I'm really looking forward to this convention. You always do a great job, Scarecrow.

The thing is, there are a lot of us out here that can be very naive. I like to think it's in part because we basically have good thoughts for people and have a hard time imagining that sort of the bigotry and hatred, let alone being the target of it. When you share your story, you help those of us that don't have a clue. It's not your job, or your responsibility, but you do it anyway, and I at least, thank you for it.
Are you asking for places to find information? If so, the Pathfinderwiki has this list of various articles. You could also try contacting zuxius@pathfinderchronicler.net, and ask him. edited, for unintentional tone
The Morning: Welcome to Paizocon: Erik Mona is funny! I guess I should have known that, but I didn't really realize it before now. He and Sara Marie went through the schedule, expanding on the offerings a little bit and taking a few questions. Some guy that looked just like Brent Holtsberry sat right in front of me, but of course it couldn't be him because he told us all he wasn't coming.OH, but it WAS him! He's tricky, that Brent! Spent most of the hour I had off talking with him in one of the many small chat circles the hotel has built in everywhere (I *LOVE* these!) then it was off to my next thing: Editing RPGs. I'll be honest, I have this soft spot for editors. They have a hard job and catch a lot of flak when things go wrong, but are mostly ignored when things are right. The panel: Judy Bauer, Christopher Carey, Jason Keeley, and Joe Homes. The room had about 12 or 13 attendees in total, with most people there to find out more about the editing process, whether they were freelancers, or beginning third party publishers, or just interested in the way things work in general. I enjoyed the time immensely, but then who doesn't enjoy discussions on kerning, layout idiosyncrasies, and style guides? It was a good morning, one of those starts that just eases you into an optimistic frame of mind. It continued through a nice lunch with one of my favorite yahoos, then it was time to settle in and get a blog post up. I meant to, honestly, but I was nicely sidetracked by some welcome visitations with various people. edit: If I had a great editor, the previous sentence would not be so clunky. John B (ever patient spouse) joined me, giving me an update on his morning lottery game with Mark Seifter, Anagnorisis. It sounded like a lot of fun; hopefully M.S. will publish it so John can run it at home some time. Lisa Stevens stopped by for a great conversation regarding the card game. I'm even more psyched for the later chapter of our Skull and Shakles card game, and then on to WotR when I get home. Next, Char and Dennis Baker came by. It was great catching up with them, and getting a quick update on their sessions so far. Apparently, Char's morning session filled her full of evil plans for our game back home. I'm looking forward to it, though her evil cackle gives me pause. Now I await the arrival of Euan, awesome Bay Area friend and Play by Post GM and player, and the continuation of the card game. Last night saw a (relatively) early turn in by most people and I feel the weight of the six chapters upon my soul.

Often. I've had "friends" from the community say it to my face. I don't think there are very many people I'm completely comfortable around because of it.
Hi Bahrahb, please be sure to let us know where we can find you to drop off things at the con. I have a few things I can donate. edit: I just saw that you left an address. If you would rather have things sent, I can do that, though would prefer being able to just hand things over, with no postage, if that is possible.
I have to agree with with Kobold Cleaver; These games are social games, regardless of the medium we use to play. It's not unreasonable to expect a message saying the player is going to be away. If you are sick, hopefully you have made at least one friendship in the playing well enough to say, "Dude, I feel like crap, can you let the others know?" This sort of thing weaves the social web stronger and encourages teamwork in game and out. An automated message feels... less. That isn't to say that just because I don't like it, they shouldn't create it. It does say that I would discourage the use of it in games I am GMing, and feel less tied in to games where it was used with any sort of frequency.
it has been pushed back to 3:30, due to one of the glitches that sometimes happen. edit: or maybe not. Some people can see their schedule
KC, Sara Marie has asked that people to not sign up for the non lottery stuff just yet. And if you have already done so, to please take themselves out. Sorry, I was all psyched for them as well. So lottery first, then seminars.
I keep thinking I can finally post, then someone else says something so nice, I'm blown away again. Thank you for all the kind words and awesome memories. I quite sincerely couldn't have done it without all of the awesome friends I have made along the way. Nefreet, I am planning on playing more and GMing less for a little while, and hold out hope that at least one of those games will be at your table.

Don't get crazy, Pain. I convinced him to *attend* that convention. I'm totally taking credit for his fabulousness...
Thanks for all the blood sweat and tears, Scott. You're definitely a 5-Star guy in my book! I can only second (or third) what the others have said. You're amazing on multiple fronts and PFS, both locally and in online play, is lucky to have you. If people haven't had the chance to play at one of your tables, I whole heartedly recommend that they try to get into one.
My item. I found several issues after I hit submit, but I would love to hear all the others I missed. Thanks in advance. Ephemeral Staff Aura moderate transmutation; CL 8th Slot none; Price 29,000 gp; Weight 2.5 lbs. Description Tenuously tied to the material plane, this staff wavers like a mirage beneath the desert sun. When held, its presence stabilizes into a shimmering bar spun of glass. An ephemeral staff exists in both the material and ethereal planes, allowing the wielder to see each as semitransparent overlays of the other. It also functions as a +1 quarterstaff (only one end of the staff bears magical enhancement), doing half damage to corporeal creatures and full damage to those that are ethereal or incorporeal. It retains these properties even if drained of all charges. The staff allows the use of the following spells:
The staff weighs half as much as expected and effects targeting it suffer a 50% mischance as it flickers between planes. Construction Requirements Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Craft Staff, blink, faerie fire; spectral hand, Cost 14,500 gp
