Just coming out of the back end of Drakthar's Way after having already killed the Vampire my party come across Xoden and his mercenary half-orcs.

So the party Bard decides to bluff his way out. Starts telling them about how they are here on behalf of Drakthar and are assiting him etc. etc.

He forgot that standing behind him was the party sorceress and her spoils of war, prompting Xoden to reply.

"Then why, prey tell, do you have Drakthar's head on a stick?"

I can't believe they forgot! Doh!

How have other people dealt with players wanting to stake Draktar in combat. There's no called shot rules in 3.5e of course.

I've cobbled these rules together from various sources. They are untested, anyone see a problem with them?

After 6 sessions my players have almost finished the first Chapter, Life's Bazaar.

I invite you all to come look at our SCAP Wiki website and read some of my players journals.

Shackled City WIKI

The most complete at present is the Journal of Bran Lannister.

The helpful pointers in the Zherog's "Critique My Query" thread are the kind of thing that would be very helpful to many of us before submission.

The problem with discussing un-sumbitted queries of course is that they shouldn't be public, as if they are accepted and published that should be the first time they are seen.

Can anyone think of a way around that?

My players have all been working on their backgrounds, and my head is so stuffed full of this Adventure that I think I'm going to burst.

We haven't started yet but we are nearly ready to go. My players have done the longest prep and background type stuff they've ever bothered to do and yet somehow, ironically, we have managed to end up starting the campaign with getting together in an Inn!

Here's the little intro I have put together for them to read before the first session. Using their background, things they've been discussing with me and a little help from each of them.

I'm going to get my players to roll-up characters and start the SCAP soon.

I've read everything and am now throroughly reading over Life's Bazaar.

If you've run it yourself, what would you do differently a second time, or to put it another way, what pitfalls and mistakes should one avoid.

Cheers

Iain Norman
