And since we just released a new product, we may as well throw that into the mix! If the winner chooses Zenith Games' Jacob's tower, he'll get Occult Secrets: The Spiritualist in addition to the 7 other products! So basically our entire product line!

Sweet! Thanks!

I'm interested. What IS the limit if you only choose PDG products? Cause there is a whole lot of Porphyra I would love to get.

According to Mark, there is no limit, so you can go crazy if you choose PDG.

@Misfit Studios: It's possible that I missed this, but I don't think you ever mentioned any selection criteria for your gifts. Did you want to give things to people rolling certain numbers, to whoever got the main prize, leave it up to taig, have it be a surprise to be revealed when things start...? It's your decision, naturally. XD I'm just trying to have the list as clear as possible for everyone, given the... uh... complex nature of this event.

I believe it was the winner who received the PDFs from Misfit Studios, but I will get clarification from Christina.

Purple Duck games has opened the floodgates for their offerings. If you exclusively choose PDG and/or 4 Winds Fantasy and/or Lion's Den Press material, you are not limited to $12.

Edit: You would still receive material from other publishers per their generous offers. The "exclusive" applies to the "main" prize. :)

Additionally, I'm happy to throw in a softcover copy of Bite Me! The Gaming Guide to Lycanthropes as an ultimae prize (with PDF), too.

That's really generous of you. Thanks!

Ok. Since nobody ever said "let they wot is rolled an unnatural 13 during a Third Partymas roll-off be first", Forest Guardian Press will gift whoever gets an unmodified 13 (because maybe there are sekrit modifiers....) during a roll off will get all four Forest Guardian Press PDFs.

And the third runner up on the twelfth day of Third Partymas gets that offer too.

Except now I think FGP has, wait for it.....six products!!! so the unlucky lucksters get all 6!!!!

Thank you very much!

It's been awesome to receive all this extra support for this little giveaway.

In honor of our three rugrats, anyone who gets a 3 on Taig's rolls can PM me with their DriveThruRPG email address and the name of any Dire Rugrat Publishing product and we'll send that product your way ASAP.

Ties are acceptable - it's just got to be a three and you've got to PM me. Reviews are, of course, always appreciated.

Thank you, Dire Rugrat!

Nice you are doing this again Taig. Please don't include me in the rolling this time bud.

Thanks to seeing this last year I decided to save a little bit away so I could contribute to the wonderful event. I guess I'll take second place, or whichever spot Taig decides he wants covered really, I'm not picky.

SPECIAL NOTE: I'll either edit a list into this post, or post separately a list of some specific things I would like to give out. Some will be limited, but most will not be. The list is also not exhaustive, just some things I personally think are awesome that I never seem to have enough time to try.

The list:

No limits:
In the Company of (Angels, Dragon, Fey, Giants)
Assassin, Master of Forms (Interjection Games)
Death Knight, Dragonrider (Rogue Genius Games)
Engineer
Machinesmith
Path of Shadow, Path of Iron
Priest Trickster
Protean Scribe
Legendary Paladin, Rogue
Battlelord

Limited List: If you are a GM, and always wanted to try one of these, but could never manage to scrape together the $15-$20 (I've been there), this is for you.

Spheres of Power (1)
Ultimate Psionics (1)
Path of War, Path of War Expanded, Akashic Mysteries (3)

Thank you for your generosity! I'll go with the second place roll (either the initial roll, or second place in a roll-off in case of a tie).

Yay Taig! Thanks for spreading the holiday spirit.

Rusted Iron Games will double down on Taig's idea. If you win and pick a R.I.G. product, go ahead and pick a second one as well - most of our PDF's are on the short side. Then go ahead and pick a friend to share the reward.

We will provide both PDF's for free to both the winner and their friend.

Happy Holidays!

Taig rules! And Legendary Games is pleased to join in the fun - like last year, since it's Christmas and Christ did say "the last shall be first," if you finish dead last in any of Mike's roll-offs, you can PM me with your DrivethruRPG email address and I'll find you something nice to put in your stocking for Christmas.

We don't reward ties here; you've gotta be all alone in the pit of despair all by yer onesies to get a free PDF during the contest! HOWEVER, on Christmas I'll take EVERYBODY that got a natural 1 at any point during the entire Twelve Days of Third Partymas, I'll pick one of you at random and send you a free hardcopy of anything I've got in stock here at the house!

Wooooo! Thanks, Jason!

I'm doing a third-party giveaway again this year.

Here's how it works:

Post in this thread indicting your interest in getting a free PDF (or PDFs).

Each day, beginning on December 13th, I'll use Paizo's dice roller to randomly select a winner and I'll PM the winner to ask them for their choice of PDF(s) from Kobold Press, Legendary Games, Purple Duck Games, Raging Swan Press, Rite Publishing, Rogue Genius Games, Rusted Iron Games, Zenith Games, or Zombie Sky Press. Please limit selections to $12 (I can't afford to give away 12 copies of Deep Magic), but they don't have to be books that I've worked on.

If you've been chosen as a winner, you will be out of future rounds to make sure 12 different people receive free stuff. :)

Thanks!

cultural diffence I guess

That's a weird linguistic thing. A wedding shower is a party. In Cis partnering cases the bridal shower is a special party for a bride and her female friends and family. Gifts are given to the bride. I'm not sure what the procedure for a non-cis shower is.

Honestly I have no idea why it is called a shower. Shower with gifts maybe? It's the only type of party in English called a 'shower'

There are baby showers too.

Oi vay!

What a day!

Weekend started out good. Thanksgiving we had Wife's dad and cousins over. Had fun and food. Went to New Orleans on Friday, avoided Insanity that is 'Black Friday' and only had to deal with stupid traffic going into NO for the 'Bayou Classic' game on Sat. Fri evening we went to opening night of 'Celebration in the Oaks', where they cover City Park in Christmas lights and light sculptures. Had not been in a few years. I think we adults had more fun than the teenage kids. It was fun.

We decided to drive back early today. Avoid 'game' traffic and what-not. (N.O. to Lafayette, 2 hours tops) Turns out there was a horrible incident on the I-10, on the long bridge close to Lafayette. A semi-truck burst into flames (Apparently it was carrying Pepto-Bismol. This makes me seriously reconsider my choice of tummy ailment treatments!)

Fortunately we saw a warning LED sign on the road before we hit the closed section of road and got off, taking what should have been a simple, little-longer detour.

Short story, we left N.O. before 2pm, we finally got home at 9:30pm.
>_<

Scariest part of the entire trip? Watching the semi only one car ahead of us suddenly go into reverse (not slipping backwards, actually saw it's White back-up lights come on!) and back up into the car ahead of us! Then drive ahead as if nothing had happened.

I have never been so glad to be home !! ;P

I'm glad it wasn't your vehicle.

Treppa wrote:

Gotta say, though, that the cultural difference doesn't give anybody moral superiority. I almost fell into that the other day, with one of those "cartoons of the nineties" quizzes. I didn't know any of the characters besides Granny from Tweety bird. I snorted and thought smugly "Bugs Bunny and company weren't cartoons of the nineties, they were cartoons of the sixties - our cartoons, not theirs." Then I realized how stupid that is. ANY kid who grew up on Bugs Bunny has that common experience with me, no matter when they watched it, and that's pretty cool in some ways. I wish our cultural continuity wasn't on Nickelodeon, but hey - better than nothing.

I just don't get Millennial bashing. I adore the Milennials I know, and the generation who are teens today. Pretty much all generation bashing is insulting and should stop, but it won't. It's been around for centuries. "You see those kids making little chips on the edges of their hand axes? Honestly, you'd think they could get along fine with the rocks we grew up on. Kids today, amirite?"

Having raised two Millennials (who are doing pretty well for themselves now) and seeing them interact with their friends, I can see the differences between the way I was raised and how I grew up and their experiences. It seems like the same thing with any generation gap, and I tried very hard to not be that old guy. :)
