Because if there are; I'm interested.
Also don't you guys wish there would be a "remake"* of 2nd edition?

(like how it works for certain games/films) Which one? I apologize; I just saw your reply.
I am really interested in Combat & tactics
And then:
-Dungeon Master Screen & Master Index
-Player’s Handbook
-Arms & Equipment
-Dungeon Masters Deck
-Psionics
-Warriors & Priests
-Wizards & Rogues (though I am not sure which ones are these last two and what difference they have with the individual guides)
-Volo’s Guide to Sword Coast
-The Forgotten Realms Atlas
I could go on if there are left but I don't think I can afford more at the moment *sigh*

(like how it works for certain games/films) Try New Haven Games' Myth & Magic, playtest doc available for free by registering at their site online. wOw
Thanks!
Any other remakes out there?
CourtFool wrote: @stroVal wrote: *=[you know, new art, fluff etc but essentially the same system] Actually, the fluff is what I like. I guess new fluff would just mean twice the fluff to choose from. Omg no I didn't imply I don't like the original fluff..that would have been..sacrilege!
No,no; I am just greedy...
MORE!!

Think of the easiness and cinema factor of the Storyteller system with the versatility of GURPS.
Its simple, fast but at the same time robust.
AH is essentially Mad Max the rpg* but its so open on the design end that you can make any world you like and just use the V6** system.
We are currently planning a Nuclear Winter era game(with a bit of underwater action also)
If you enjoy your Post apocalyptic share of games make this your default rule-set.

''Say, where's your mount?''
''Celeste said she'd stable it.''
''She's be gone a while, hasn't she?''
''Well, yes, why? ..oh ... OH!'' WIN. This is the kind of game I'd have fun with. In real life, I get tired of having to be a mature grown-up all the time. I get tired of needing to be extra-politically-correct, and to make sure I don't refer to any young female co-workers as "girls" lest I be fired and/or sued, and having to make sure I never cuss around clients, and having to make sure I don't use the Lord's name in vain around my fundamentalist managers.
In a D&D/Pathfinder game, I want to relax. I want to drink beer, and cuss, and be totally juvenile sometimes, and maybe play a female elf cleric who's in love with her animal companion. I want occasional bad guys who make Nick Logue look sane. I want some heroes who dress like Liberace. I want occasional games that run like "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels II."
So if a player has a stunted, genderless creature who also happens to be the party's front-line fighter, I'm fine with that. I do enjoy this wacky way of playing from time to time too, but you need a certain type of crowd for it...

Dabbler wrote: You know, I'm reminded of PaizoCon UK '09, where there was a running contest between a sorcerer and a wizard (both female) across several games to see who could describe the skimpiest, sexiest outfit.
Both were played by girls.
By contrast, my female monk was quite conservative and restrained.
Congrats for some of the tips and angles that have been posted so far.
I will agree with Dabbler and kolokotroni as well as a few others.
It all depends on your suspension of disbelief, experience and prejudice(and that's irrelevant of your own sex btw).
I've been playing since I was eleven and in my groups(usually 80/20 % male to female) almost all males rarely role-play women but when they do its with respect and seriousness.
In my experience its usually the females in our groups that embrace the stereotype sexist bad version of Conan(muscles reversely proportional to wits) and I've also seen some of the worst incarnations of bad anime/comic/action flick female sluts portrayed by women.
I usually choose the sex from the concept and afterwords(though I mainly role-play males)
Once I've played a reserved Karaturan half elf monk and was actually mocked for it by the female DM (but then again she was a bad role-player and I quit the campaign after two sessions)
One of my most fond memories was similar to the one someone had and posted before me(male playing female falls for female who plays male and the characters(and later players) hook up)
I'm a cynic but it was -admittedly- beautifully executed without all the cliche non-sense(though I was involved so I could be biased) ;p
0k I realize this might seem a bit off topic:
I was thinking of doing a pen and paper version of the Baldur's Gate games.
I am planning to be really faithful on the npcs side so I was wondering if there is some sort of transcript or even a campaign path for any version of D&D(or even other systems) out there
Any info will help, cheers

About 10 years ago, I used an older version of Fractal Mapper and while it was good, I was not fully pleased with the results I got. I felt my options were limited and didn't like the image quality.
The version of Campaign Cartographer I used AT THAT TIME I was ultimately happier with the amount of options I had, but it was harder to use. Comparing Fractical Mapper 2000 to CC2, I liked CC2 better.
I currently use Campaign Cartographer 3. I am very happy with it, but it still has a steep learning curve: it uses a CAD based engine -- if you know what you're doing, you could actually build a full, to-scale, contemporary city map if you wanted (let alone rebuild Rivendell); if you don't know what you're doing the amount of options, the varied way you can do things, the way sheets and layers work, etc. Gets very overwhelming very quickly. A few tutorials get you going well, however, and you learn to focus on what you need to do at the time. Ultimately, the only thing I don't like about CC3 is that it has a "smart symbol" and "smart snapping" system which is most "stupid." You're supposed to be able to set symbols to snap quickly to the grid in a way that makes sense to the map set up, and in my experience, it consistently flips symbols around the wrong way and connects them to the wrong gridline. Fortunately this feature can be turned off.
I can also say that CC3 has exceptional customer support and a very helpful community behind it.
Never used Dundjinni; my favorite aspect of CC3 is its Dungeon Designer add-on, which I tried before I heard of Dundjinni, and have never felt a need to branch out.
I would like to see what the current version of Fractal Mapper does with overland area design to be able to compare it to the current version of CC3.
Ultimately, it depends on what you want to do. CC3 of the three programs probably has the... Thank you. Well I want to have versatility but what I really need to do at the moment is make my world map as the players keep asking about it and my version so far is from my GM notebook.(I am better with drawing than with programs but...I don't have the time to paint it at the moment)
I am not familiar with Cad but I have used cc2 and I found it of moderate difficulty. If I invest time and practice can I get to dragon/paizo map detail?
So if one were to buy a cartography program now; between this, dundjinni and Campaign Cartographer 3, which one would you recommend ?
