Yes, but i wanted it to be a bit more unique then just giving an undead template to a halfbreed yaun-ti. It's just one of those things were the dream probably seemed alot better to me than what i could explain. Kinda reminds me of the ritual to make a skinwalker, I loved the imagery of the bloated anaconda and emerging from it is a scaly undead version of your adventuring companion DaveHad a dream last night that I was a PC on the Isle of Dread, and the rest of my party was captured by a tribe worshipping Demogorgon. The PC's were fed to anacondas, then the anacondas heads were cut off and tied up tight and hung on a huge rack(picture huge sausage links). Then they inscribed different symbols and tattoos on the bloated hanging snakes while chanting spells and the like. After a while they left them alone to ripen in the sun for a couple days. I went over and started to cut one open with my sword and a creature that looked distantly reminescent to my adventuring companion leapt out at me, gaunt and covered with scales a forked tongue snake eyes but unliving. It was pretty disturbing and thought it would be a cool creature idea for STAP. If anyone wants to use it make up some stats and name it be my guest just felt like sharing.

I believe the Illustration to the left on page 42 of SOS is supposed to be that of "Leech"? And if it is, we miss out on really seeing his horrific appearance. I should draw my own version! DAveOr perhaps you can make a variant of the Concordant Killer, an experiment of Demogorgon's trying to create his own version. A trist between himself and an angel? He could be a two-headed version with twin blades. Perhaps Demogorgon has manipulated his son into killing different foes over the years for the cause of keeping the balance, and now these PC's must be exterminated too! But having Celestial blood he may also be convinced by some that his Father should be the one to parish and preserve the balance...just an idea. I live in Connecticut not too far from where that chimp attack has made national news. Not to be disrespectful to the victim or families involved i am just mentioning this for the brutal savagery of an adult chimpanzee. I realize more powerful PC's can handle a chimp no problem, but imagine 1st level PC's getting attacked and mauled by an adult chimp even without the savage template. And what about the Olangru threads on here, a psycho-demon chimp that CAN take care of more powerful characters. I would have a savage chimp attack in the "There is no Honor" maybe where the PC's find the Rhagodessa. Possibly a couple large ticked off chimps that have escaped their pen. just a thought really intimidate your players with the primates right from the beginning.

Hey Maxxx here are a few ideas, 1. Balor/Giant Gorilla hybrid2.Deinosuchus/Hydra Hybrid 3.Bullywug variations like a poison arrow version, smaller very colorful but very poisonous to the touch. 4.Giant Dragon millipede(Google Cambodian Lost World) Scientists recently discovered 1'000s of new species including a hot pink colored millipede that oozes cyanide. 5.Shape shifting aspect of demogorgon, representing a diety for different tribes on the island who are enemies of one another but unknowingly worship Demogorgon. One tribe could worship a monkey deity one lizard and other octopus and Demogorgon gains power by using one against the other. And he may show up as a giant 2 headed gorilla/Demogorgon combo or 2 headed T-Rex demogorgon combo and a mutated octopus demogorgon combo. 6.Medusa Spiders(As seen on LOST) their bite causes paralysis but victims appear dead for i think about 12-24 hours. Hope some of those ideas helped?

I like the idea of intelligent night hags myself. Planescape 2e version also hints at their ancestry, "Some lords of the Lower Planes take night hags for wives. From such unions are only born more night hags, equal to others of their race and not partaking of the characteristics of their sire." This is what intrests me most about these hags daughters of Arch Devils, Demon Lords and Princes, Vile nobility running through their veins. I see hags as prize cows of the Lower Planes. Each one unique and carrying a hint of their noble blood. With unique powers, characteristics and physical traits reflecting their powerful fathers. But not so unique that it doesn't resemble a hag anymore. They are needed to harvest larvae for the blood war and other foul purposes they are held in respect for their harvests as well as their knowledge. I see the lords looking at them as not exactly wives but breeding stock to be protected, bought and sold with pedigrees of their ancestry. Make them a hot commodity. In my world Demogorgon has a prized Night Hag "Violexx"(She of the Great Horns) sired by none other than "Asmodeus". "Demogorgon" hadseen offspring from this hag before and they were of excellent quality so he accuired her for his breeding program and sired excellent hags himself "Grelda" and "Blixious". There was one however that took more after "Demogorgon" than the rest. A beast called the Haggoth a large mostrosity about 10' tall a huge right arm with horrible talons on each, the left 4 withered arms gnarled and almost unusable, giant mishapen feet and 3 horrible heads sprouting from one set of shoulders. not as smart as her sisters she is used more as muscle for the covey. She has a necrotic bite and can vomit necrotic bile as a breath weapon 3 x a day. DAveZombie Boots wrote:
Maybe the new PC's are are an old group of adventurers that Lavinia hired but were never heard from again. They suddenly awake or something to find themselves on a freaky island partial amnesia each PC has different memories so they have to work together to understand what is going on and get caught up in this story all over again. Give it like a LOST feel, also you can get pretty creative with their back stories and stuff so it flows a little more with the STAP. Just an idea hope it helps? DAveTroy Pacelli wrote:
Oh man i LOVE the pic of that creepy twin demogorgon thingy!!! DAveI was thinking of a fun little twist for Divided's Ire, to be used for STAP or just a seperate side trek. Have the whole area cursed and any who stay too long become a demented baboon-like creature that either takes after one side of Demogorgon's persona or the other. The Volcanic side shelters a gang of savage, feral and strong creatures that can cause insanity with a stare. While the other gang are considerably weaker, intelligent, cunning and can charm others. maybe the PC's get caught up in a gang war between the 2 factions. And quite possibly one gang or the other holds the key to their only way out? This could be great for some comic-relief, some of the apes could talk very snobbishly and with sarcasm and a quick wit but very bent! While the others...well just picture the chimps that ripped that guys nose and testicles off in the news a couple years ago. Let me know what you all think of the idea. Divide's Ire was always a fun area to be creative with.

Hey James thanx for the reply and i agree orcus is cool and all but he has had his share written down in other literature. My most anticipated entry would have been for "Pale Night", I am sure it would have been very interesting and left us shaking our heads about her even more...right? "Juiblex" on the other hand never did it for me just an evil pile of jello. DAveAWESOME!!! I haven't been on here a while since the end of Savage Tide and the beginning of 4e. I love Graz'zt's back story James excellent job! I really wish you could keep on going and publish a whole book of the Demonomicon of iggwilv. I hate what 4e has done to my demons damn them! James who would have been next in the Demonomicon if 4e never came out?

Great Idea! I have NPC's that I want to use for Savage Tide as well that sprang form shows or movies. The crew of the Sea Wyvern for my game will be as follows: Captain "Achilles Hawke" - based on "Sawyer"(Josh Hollaway) from LOST. First Mate "Tor" - who Is a male Qullan, based on the actor Michael Clarke Duncan. Ship's cook "Rotty Mott" - based on the famous award winning potty-mouth scottish chef Gordon Ramsey(I'm going to have fun with him). There will be more later but I also wanted to put down who other NPC's remind me of from Savage Tide.(Feel free to add your own thoughts as well). Harliss Javell - Kind of a cross between Monica Belucci and Michelle Rodriguez. Avner Meravanchi - Johnny Fairplay from survivor. Vanthus - I finally figured out who he reminds me of...Colin Farrell. I'll think of more later.
I don't own the Minatures Handbook so I don't have the skinny on Demon Lords Aspects. I asked this before but I am being a little more specific this time. Both "Khala" and "Gorgant" are aspects of Demogorgon, but unlike other demon lord aspects they are unique looking with variant abilities. "Khala" looks mostly like a kopru, now did Demogorgon infuse a kopru with his essence to produce the aspect or does Demogorgon just mold part of his essence Into a form he wishes and a slight change In abilities? I am wondering this cause I wanted to create aspects of the big "D" for my own campaign and wondering If there Is a set of rules to follow when creating your own esp. If you want to make a variation off of the Big "D" like "Khala" and "Gorgant" appear to be. Thanx In advance.
I say change something up on him, If your noticing too many coincedinces stop him In his tracks by springing something totally new! So the look on his face will be like hey that's not suppose to be there! Just an Idea, I like to change the adventures around just a little bit If not completely. Not so much for the problem you have but just that i usually like to make It my own. Good luck.

I myself picked up on the incest thing since "There Is No Honor". Actually before Savage Tide ever even came out I was working on my own idea for an adventure with Demogorgon as the main bad guy. And oddly enough It Involved these two evil, twisted, creepy siblings a brother and sister"Vangyss" and Vascha" who could trace their bloodline back to Demogorgon. They were shipwrecked on an "Isle of Dread" type Island when they were young along with their father who knew their dreaded secret. The children lived but the father died. The children were raised by demons disguised in human form, and were trained to fight cast spells and be as wicked as they could. Well these siblings had a thing for each other produced a child, an albino son. well a ship made It's way to the Isle one day from some far off mainland led by one Lord Angus Gryffonshield, 30 men arrived but only a handful would make It back. They encountered the siblings a horrible battle ensued and they managed to overpower and kill the twisted brother and sister. They tried to leave shortly after that but not after noticing a child all alone In It's crib. Lord Angus took the child and would raise him as his own. His own son Krystoff who accompanied his father on the journey grew very Ill on the beach before reaching the ship. He was transformed Into an Anomorphous Baboon(Mandrill). Lord Angus was heartbroken with grief as his own son had been afflicted with such a curse, they left went home but krystoff was locked away like an animal, while his adopted son enjoyed the benefits of being Lord Angus's new favorite son. The boy Ian grew up to be very tall strong,Intelligent and heroic, eventually he gains paladinhood and all Is good...NOT! people that he's known all his life family ,friends.loved ones are not whom he thought they were these different people unlock through betrayel, lust and murder the demonic legacy trapped Inside. (Think the fall of Anakin Skywalker). He becomes a blackguard first then his fiendish side comes out as well, he Is slain In battle only to rise as a badass Death Knight. Meanwhile In the beginning of my adventure the PC's come across Krystoff, who comes across as a drunk, sarcastic overgrown monkey. But earns their trust only later on to hear the call of Demogorgon with promises of power and a place to fit In and betrays the PC's and Is awarded with a lemorian template and then later on death knight. Didn't mean to ramble but that's weird the coincidences I had down before the STAP came out minus the Lemorian template that was added later on. My point In picking your post was how your girlfriend liked Vanthus as a Lemorian, I was kinda hoping to see Lavinia as a sexy little Lemorian lust bunny that would have been HOT! DAveMrFish wrote:
I don't know when I'll get a chance to run a game, everyone's older now, married, kids, work. So I was hoping to hear some of my Ideas being used, and esp. what the players reactions will be? "Olman friends are taken by skinwalkers and the PCs witness as they are changed Into skinwalkers" Actually I put almost the exact same thing on another thread about the skinwalkers. I wanted to give the Skinwalkers the same feel as the "Others" do on ABC's LOST. I wanted the PC's to be hunted down and tormented even thou "Olangru" fills that slot nicely as well! I want the PC's to see one of their own being flayed and tortured as the Skinwalker ritual Is performed On them. I will try to think of more Ideas later sounds like a fun thread, similiar to the one for fill In the blans for Divide's Ire.

Awesome James that's exactly what I was talking about, I still think this outcome should have been Included as well? Oh well just have to make up my own now. DAveJames I have read through all the possible outcomes at the end of the AP, but It doesn't actually say what happens to the Big "D" If he triggers the Savage Tide? I was hoping to see new stats and an Illustration of the new and Improved Demogorgon. Actually In my version If he succeeds It will be bittersweet cause as he does I want Obox Ob to attack him, and as the Savage Tide sweeps over both of them they each meld Into the other creating a new King of Demons. Demogorgon thought It was bad with a twin brother hanging around all the time that will be nothing compared with the absolute madness of another entity merged Into It's being that he loathes and fears. Same goes for Obox Ob It will be no picnic merged with Monkeybone either! A powerful new demon boss but even more Insane and hateful as Arendagrost?

When I asked James about him last month or so he said he takes more after Dad and has 3 sets of horns. I sketched a picture of him and I swear two of his heads looked like these dragon heads but the middle one had a giant neandrathal head with horns look. And he was humanoid. Yeah actually I was already guessing she was like a Godly Queen Ant, Inseminated once then giving birth whenever? But I just wanted to make that joke about congigal visits lol. This leaves room for my Imagination to go crazy with Ideas on new creatures and being from the Greek Pantheon makes It more sweet. When "Clash of the Titans" first came out I was always integrating the myths Gods and Goddesses Into my campaigns. I know It's off subject but did anyone hear news about a remake of "Clash of the Titans"?
In Wells of Darkness I noticed Echidna "The Mother of Monsters" Is Imprisoned In one of the wells. And It states that Harpies shrieks can be heard eminating from her well heralding a new birth. As you know Echidna with her mate Typhon spawned most of the greek monsters, Neamyian Lion,Hydra and so on. A DM could have lotsa fun wih this since Ahazu let's some of her progeny loose, I was going to make up a few creatures she spawned to play with the PC's. Question James Is Echidna getting congingal visits from Typhon, or just creating these herself?
