Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I would be also very interested in this, as I am starting to run LoF at the end of October (after the Bestiary arrives).

I have found some done here:
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/fan-conversions/paizo-adventure-paths
(sorry, no idea how to link).

But would appreciate it if someone had others to share.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I went to the Product Schedule, it appears that PF 27 has been pushed back to Novemeber, so if you have the "ship with AP" option it has all moved to then. I have just changed my shipping to Monthly, as I am starting LoF end October and would like the Bestiary (or at least the PDF) before then.

I don't know what shipping option you have, but this may explain it.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Thanks Cap't...that clears that up....being international, we are always curious about postage rates.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I thought that might be the case

Some of the smaller websites incorrectly ship products, usually via media mail or book rate, but we have found that they are using those classes incorrectly, and if the US Postal Service finds out, they can fine you big time.

-Lisa

Just out of curiousity, why can't you use these rates?? The description seems to fit in with a majority of your products (especially the subscriptions).

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

That is cool...understandable mistake. I would consider changing my avatar, but am kind of attached to it.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

There is definately a heavy emphasis on wargaming products, with a lot of figure and terrain manufacturers. However, that being said, there is some more general gaming stuff (RPG and board games) around. Milsims normally has a pretty big set-up and other games stores as well.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

1. I am trying to give up Coke, and have mostly succeeded, I drink Tea instead.

2. 5 players is my personal preference, more than that and combat takes to long to get around the table, especially if you have one of those player who decides what they are doing on their turn (but that is another subject).

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Bump

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

20th should be also cool for me (just need to check with hubby to make sure he is cool with kid minding).

Slight thread-jack - Flash, you mentioned in the June thread that you own the Orision T-shirt...what was the sizing like?

[EDIT] i think he is referring to the Mother of all Battles in Sylvania, its a 3 day wargaming event in October, no i've never been, i'm just good at resourcing XP [/EDIT]

I am indeed speaking of the Mother of All Battles (psst... it is she, not he), held on the October weekend. Although I don't do wargames, I do a bit of figure painting and they have a lot of retailers, and it is always nice to catch up with those friends who do play.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I read it as being one opponent only, otherwise why does the feat "dazzling display" (which allows you to demoralise everyone within 30 feet who can see you) even exist??

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Just printed and cut out these little babies...very nice, these will see plenty of use, I am sure.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Do we have any word on the LoF sets...I really loved them, and are planning on starting running LoF in October (after the Bestiary comes out). But if no more sets are appearing I have a lot of painting of figures in my future....if I can even find appropiate ones.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I, personally, am not a huge fan of playing in public spaces, but could just meet you all for lunch then run off home.

I am pretty OK for Sundays, except the 4th October (planning on dropping into MOAB that day, seeing if there is any cool figures and what specials Milsims have bought with them).

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Hi there,

I am just about to start running this and was hoping that the sets would continue to flow. We got the first two modules covered and then silence decended on the land of Leagcy of Fire. Does anyone know if the paper minis are going to be produced for the rest of the AP??

Pretty please...

Otherwise I have a lot of painting of minis to do :)

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

That is cool...I would love one, but it is probably inappropiate for the DM.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Um, hi everyone, is this happening, I missed the last one, but would still like to meet you all.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Nicely done, sir.

These are awesome, I, personally, can't wait for them.

I would do some art for you, but even my stick figures are all wrong.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

All I can say is....WOW. Now back to work for you...I am eagerly awaiting the final result.

I vote #1, 8 to a page.

#2 can be done on your own by just printing them in greyscale, so it's not really neccessary.

By the way, these cards look GREAT.

Ditto...

Krome, these are fantastic. I love this community.

PS, you have one pretty website there.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

For a long time now, I have cut and pasted everything from the SRD I need for each character into a document for easy reference, like the feats they have, spell decriptions etc.

I have just created a "Player's Book" for PF by using the PRD, cutting, pasting, formatting and printing. It ended up being about 150 pages for the character generation stuff.

Although all my players have ordered the Book, we still haven't got it yet (Stupid distributors), but we have now made some characters at least.

All that said, it would be nice to have a pocket book. We would use it as the second household book...main book for the DM (currently my husband) and pocket book for the player (currently me).

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I would like to thank everyone for their sympathy.

Good news, a friend has managed to grab an order of 9 books from a distributer he is friendly with. It was a bit more expensive (yes they are from Milsims, Flash), but they will be here in one to two weeks.

Big sigh of relief....

Alagard wrote:
If their are made in the P-65 HEAVY METAL line it would be awsome, cheap metal minis.

On the other side of the coin, as I live in a country where lead figures are still technically illegal, please stick with pewter.

Otherwise, fanastic news.

Although my husband will kill me if I: A. have another subscription, B. buy more figures before I finish some of the unpainted metal beside my painting desk.

Nonwithstanding that, I would love for the major Bad Guy from each of the AP books to appear. I have been trying to find them for the LOF, some are easy, some are hard.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I really wish that I hadn't been so nice as to organise for everyone else...if it was just me:

-1 book is easier to find than 9
-I don't have to take what everyone wants into account, just have to worry about what I and my husband wants.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

That's right...rub it in :)

Man, that's a bummer. I hope you at least write a letter to the company that left you hanging, expressing your disappointment and anger at the situation.

No joy yet. Under Australian law they are required to honour the order, including the price (not that they are coming to the party). No letter, but a formal complaint to the Department of Fair Trading coming up.

Still annoyed...but I have just checked with a friend with access to a large colour laser printer and he is happy to print out the PDF if we supply the paper. Not the best solution, but better than nothing.

have learnt my lesson and are coming back to the Paizo fold.....

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Thanks Flash :)

One of my pre-order people is in Newcastle, so I have let him know. Just waiting on replies now....

I wonder if I ordered from Paizo now if I would get nine of the little restock they are getting in a couple of weeks??

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I have just spoken to one of the guys I was ordering for, he reinterated that this was not my fault.

My husband is no help, he just shrugged his shoulders and told me that we should just wait til the second print run in Novemeber.....I could do that, but I don't want to.

We have actually killed off one of our camapigns in expectaion in getting the books this month and starting in the new system.

I am planning to ring Department of Fair Trading tomorrow to check what, if anything, a pre-order guarentees.

PDF, here we come.

Still upset, but calming down....

Edit: Now to send the rest of the bunch the email and see what they want to do.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

The worst thing is that it is a pre-order for two gaming groups....it is 9 books. How do I tell the others??

I literally feel a bit sick and upset.

A good deal is sometime too good to be true....the books was $60AUS.

Edit: Fishpond is the Australian company associated with Amazon, hence I thought I was pretty safe going with them.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I just got an email from the company that I preordered the Pathfinder book from a month ago....something along the lines of, "Sorry this title is out of stock, we have cancelled your order, we apoligise for any inconvenience". I knew I should have stuck with Paizo, but the postage to Australia was just too much.

I feel really upset.

I just had to vent to some people who would understand why I am upset. To the rest of the world...it is just a book.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I agree, both companies do very nice figures.

I am in the middle of attempting to paint the Freebooter Sucubus. Freebooter is actually Werner Klocke's own company. He also does a lot of sculpting for Reaper.

One place to look at for a lot of very nice miniature companies is the coolminiornot store. My husband regrets me ever finding it....

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I can't wait to see a release date on the PF TOH. It is something I am really looking forward to.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I would love to be able to sort even further, maybe into the separate lines; Adventure Path, Chronicles, Companions, Modules, Scenerios and Other. I recently downloaded the Updated Guide to the Pathfinder Society and it took me about 5 minutes to find the original file hidden amoungst everything else.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

There is a "dead soul" miniature under "paizo exclusives". As for commoner vs noble, just use earthy colours for the commoner and more rich colours for the noble.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Thanks Lisa,

I am just really wanting to play this...needless to say, I have been waiting for over a year now. It was actually meant for my Birthday last year, but the release date kept being pushed back. I was hoping to maybe get it to play on my Birthday this year, but as it is next Saturday, that won't be happening methinks.

I will still be excited when it turns up, I have been hearing very good things about it. I might even write a review.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Hi there,

I placed a pre-order for Tales of the Arabian Nights in June 2008. It is now showing as available on the website, but I haven't recieved anything saying it is on it's way. When should I expect it to be posted?

Thanks

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

That is extremely cool...I am going to have to try that myself.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Thanks for the clarification Greg, I feel a bit foolish that I missed the scale on the map.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Hi there,

I am just wishing to know about the following:

Room D12 is listed as being EL12, but it has no encounter listed. The room description also doesn't match the map (I wouldn't want to have an arena for pitting pyrolisks against each other in a 20x20 foot room)....typo??

thanks

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I had the exact same reaction to the picture of the chamber on Page 29

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Lisa posted the following in a post on Friday

"Btw, just because your order goes through doesn't mean that the items will be available. It is kind of complicated, but our distributor's database isn't a real time one, so it only shows us what was in stock as of 10am EST on each weekday morning. So what we have now is what was in stock as of 10am this morning. The next update will be on Monday morning at 10am EST. If there is a mad scramble on Monday from various retailers to buy a limited number of products, there is a chance that Paizo might be left empty-handed, which will mean that we would have to cancel that item from your order once we find out. Basically, being able to check out means that there is a chance at least that the item will be available come Monday when we place our next order with Alliance, but it isn't a guarantee. Which is why I put the text I did at the top of the sale node."

I don't know if that helps answer the question

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I have two, a dragon snaking on my stomach and ribcage (based on a Dragon magazine cover)which I gave my self for my 30th birthday and a phoenix on my back.

I remember seeing a quote in a magazine from a tatooist "Don't do it til you hear the tattoo gods speak to you". I see a lot of 20 year old girls with very obvious tattoos because they are trendy...and I wonder if there is tattoo removal in their future

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Warm and Fuzyy feeling...tick

My work here is done

I have canceled your subscription and your preorders for the PFRPG hardcover.

Don't forget to resubscribe after the PFRPG is released! Future books in the line will not be as heavy as the PFRPG, so they will not have as large a shipping and handling cost. :)

Thanks,
cos

Thanks Cos,

Don't worry I will be logging on on the 13th August to download the PDF and resubscribe to the RPG line

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Masika,

Email on it's way...

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Hi Cosmo,

I am going to go with the alternative, especially considering the cost of the PDF means that I can still get it on the release date. Could you please cancel my pre-orders and the Pathfinder RPG subscription. Don't worry, you will still have our sales, just not directly.

Thanks for all your patience and help on this.
