Hi there, Sorry if this question seems a bit long. I have preordered a number of PFRPGs (10) in 3 separate orders (3, 3, 4) to avail myself of the 'breakpoint' for international shipping. I now wish to do one subscription of the PFRPG from these preorders. My understanding is that the subscription copy would be considered to be from the first preorder (in my case order number 1140194) and the postage recalculated. In my case the postage for this preorder is $45.05, as it was ordered when it was thought that 3 copies would fit into the smaller flat postage box. If the postage is recalculated it would increase to $57.65, the larger flat postage box. Or stay at $45.05 but only for two books, and my current August subscription postage would increase from $12.25 to $45.05 (oww). In this case could I request that my subscription items for August, with the current postage cost of $12.25 are added to the box of 3 PFRPGs. I am assuming they will fit as it is possible to fit an extra PFRPG book in. Then neither Paizo or myself are out of pocket. Possible?? I would just like this clarified before I push the button for subscription. Thanks Sandra It is a fairly heavy gauge wire (probably 2.5-3mm), a single strand bent at 90 degrees in the shape of a corner of a grid square, then bend back on itself to the corner, then upwards, cut off at about 5 cm. Little flags made with some mailing labels "liberated' from work. We are hopefully playing next Sunday, I can take a photo and send it to you if you wish. For indications on where flaming shhere or swarms sit in a battle, a freiend of mine made little stands out of bent fencing wire with a flag at the top (some with flames and some with little bats). They works really well as the wire is bent so it goes around two sides of a square and doesn't interfer with the minis. You can also use fencing wire to make your own spell templates, not as pretty as Paizo's ones, but lots cheaper. Another question, is there a possiblity of a PDF of the cards (like al the other subscriptions get). I am planning on running Legacy of Fire soon. One thing I would love is to be able to designate a certain type of potion to a certain item card, eg the Cure Light Wounds potion always comes in a green potion bottle with leaves engraved upon it, but I would need multiples of the same card to do it properly. A PDF would enable me to do this easily. I will also be subscribing (as soon as that button goes up). Vic has mentioned in other threads that if you have ordered multiple copies of the book and then subscribe, one of the copies will be considered as your subscription copy. Assuming a 0.75 exchange rate (not too unreasonable at this stage, but who the hell knows, if we are lucky it will be higher than that), an order of four books will end up costing $A76 each, then order the fifth book off Mil Sims. Then you are subsidising the postage on your subscription copy :), and hopefully getting the books a bit earlier. Zombieneighbours wrote:
The problem with not having 18 and 19s, is that the spellcasters then cannot cast their high level spells, as they are totally reliant on the stats in your spell casting ability (Int, Wis or Cha). Let's take the Cleric or Wizard; they get 8th level spells at 15th level and 9th level spells at 17th level. At 15th level they have had 3 stat boosts, so if they stick all their boosts in Wis/Int, they have to have started at 1st level at a score of at least 15. So the spellcasting characters, at the very least, need to 'spike' their stats. There is also a assumption in the game itself that stats will get that high, a number of feats have stat prerecs of 19 or above. Gamer Girrl wrote:
Yeh, but a guarenteed copy that I don't have to think about ordering would be nice. It would also be nice to have it bundled in with the rest of my subscriptions to save on postage....which believe me is a serious consideration for the international customer. Say the Bonus Bestiary is $5, it would cost about $11 to post to Australia, as opposed to no extra for postage with a subscription. The issue I can see with this from Paizo's point of veiw is that you will have some of your customer base in the US who won't want to pay for it as part of the subscription as they will be getting it for free on the day. But then, they can just subscribe after the day and start with the RPG itself. Vic, Just a thought, while you are pondering this, would the Bonus Bestiary be included as the first item in the subscription?? It would be great to have the option of having a guarenteed copy. There is no retailer particapting in Free RPG day in Australia, so there is no other way for us to get it. DM_Blake wrote:
Oh...that is fantastic!! *runs off to buy a bag of caltrops, then realises she is playing the sorceror* Or you could pick up the object (if small enough) and throw it back at the PCs.... We actually hit this issue in our group, except silence was cast by the bad guys at us. One thing we worked out is that as the spellcasters' Domain, Bloodline and School abilities are not listed as requiring somatic components they still work fine. So the Sorceror's Acid Ray, the Druid's Arc of Lightning and the Cleric's Fire ray still worked, along with the Cleric's Channel Positive Energy. As we are only 3rd level it didn't make a huge difference to us. Ant wrote:
Ant, If you are anywhere near Sydney, I could add you to my order. By my calculations the book should cost you US$57 as this would bring my preorder up to 4, which is the 'breakpoint' for shipping to Australia. Betote wrote:
I am lucky that a games store near me has a heap of the Chainmail Gnolls they are selling at $1 each...I bought 13 (which I hope is enough), now to paint them. Luckily I am not planning to start running until my husband finishes his degree (hopefully October), so I have a little bit of time up my sleeve. If you are playing with the Beta rules it is up to you and your DM what rules are in use, including the Prestige Class web enhancement for the beta. The beta rules are completely separate from the Pathfinder Society Organised Play. According to the guide to the Pathfinder Society Organised Play the only classes available are those from the 3.5 PHB. So Prestige Classes are out. Just to clarify, Prestige classes are allowed in the Beta play-test, in fact they have drafted revisions to some of the DMG Prestige classes as an additional web enhancement for the Beta. However, I don't believe they are available in the Organised Play. Your post mentioned both, so I though I would cover both so there is no confusion. Mark Gedak 27 wrote:
What he said. The only reason I have them is because they are part of the subscription, but I would be happy if they weren't in it. If they were different from the maps in the APs, especially if they were battlemaps or new maps (like the proposed city folio) then I would be excited to get them. But currently it is decidedly ho-hum. Vic Wertz wrote:
Hopefully you can do this...it would be fantastic RAFM have some cool War Turtles. I think they may be what you are looking for. In the pictures they have creatures riding them, so the scale should be close. example: http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RAF&a mp;Product_Code=RAFRE0011&Category_Code= Sorry yet to work out how to link, if this doesn't work, just put "turtle" in the search engine on the RAFM site. Hope that helps I am not sure if I am too late to add a comment, but here goes anyway. This may sound weird, but I have found that RP has made me more aware to let every one have their say (or in character, to have their niche). I have a tendency (fairly well in rein now) to be a bit of a know-it-all, but now I just bite my tongue and let other people have their time in the spotlight. The funny thing is that as I have started doing this people come to me for advice, as I am told that I come across, as a RPG friend puts it, as if I have a high wisdom score. It is funny how that one little thing, learnt through role-playing, has changed the perception of who I am to the wider world. Hi all, We have a player in our group who is playing a Druid, she is just about to get wild shape and has the following question: When in Wild Shape can she still use the at-will power Arc of Electricity from the Air domain? As it is a supernatural ability there seems to be no reason why not that I could find. Anyone have any insights? Further to this, does it (and other similiar abilities, including Channel Energy) work in the area of a Silence spell? Thanks Do you know if they have changed the shipping method (I believe that the three books "break-point" relates to how many could fit in a box as a single book is above the 4 pound weight limit for the cheapest postage method)...or should I recalculate to see if there is now a different "break-point"?
