My current favorite is my Halfling "commando" that infiltrates goblin tribes and incites them to attack Cheliaxian interests.
A very merry time indeed is had with this little warmongering halfpint.
Disguised as a goblin he trains them on wolf-riding and general mayhem targeted towards commando raiding cheliaxian targets.
Wowing them with fireworks and booze (craft) combined with songs (perform) and awesome pets (handle animal), the little andoran spec forces Halfling is probably the most fun I have ever had playing a character. XD

I'm guessing not, still never hurts to ask. :-)

No they do not. However the after credits scene shows the Essex company, which is tied heavily to Cable which is tied heavily to Deadpool. Also Deadpool talked about cable possibly being in his next movie. Not sure if they will connect but interesting none the less :)

Wow, definitely shows how things can be different for everyone. All my warhammer fantasy and battletech friends have been cool, clean, and fun to be with. Of course warhammer fantasy is now history unfortunately. XD

Sorry to say I am probably the reason for three peoples worst in- game experience. It was pre-pathfinder in the days of living greyhawk in a game store down in lacey, washington.
I had not been able to play very often as the army had different plans for my time and location, but I was finally was able to go. Played my favorite class the ranger for a quick scenario and used the proceeds to buy potions. In the afternoon game I joined a second table with four players, three of which were a group of friends together and a fourth was the keep to himself kind of guy.

1. This dude splits the party and then starts an encounter with just me and him in room. His paladin leaves me to solo the encounter. I get merced of course.
2. Guys Paladin comes back to room after the rest of the party has arrived and defeated the encounter. The other three players are looting the enemy and not paying attention. This is important.
3. Guy asks if my dead character has anything good on him, specifically potions. Now a game is game and I dont let it get to me usually but this dude irritated me to an extent that I let it bother me.
4. The stores owner is a very nice lady and has rules about what you can say in this store, mainly like abstain from anything you would not want a kid to hear, etc. She is nice and usually I respect the environment she sets at the store.
5. So instead of telling him to shove the potions up his a##, I say "yeah dude there is three but they are suppositories." He asks what that means, I say they can tell you and walk off to get a bite to eat. I don't think anything of it and presume he knows I am just being salty.
6. I come back later to the gaming area to see that the game is still going on but all the nearby tables have stopped playing their game and are intently observing this one and laughing hysterically. The GM was in tears holding laughter and the three friends are very much not amused.
7. The fourth guy had triggered multiple encounters and in a panic had began "rendering" the healing potions to the three players. Apparently he had asked what suppositories were and they told him and thought nothing of it. well...........
8.they were not happy to see me after the paladin had pulled their characters pants down mid fight and assisted in keeping them up. It did not get better when I said I did not really mean for him to believe it.
9. I bought dinner for those three dudes later that night.

anytime haha.

Most of the time for non-organized play I allow my players to choose pretty much any feat the familiar meets the pre-reqs for. I have yet to regret it. :)

Silver Crusade

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Starglim has the right of it I think. The feats that can be taken by familiars are oddly in animal archive and not familiar folio.
It does say in the start of the familiar folio that you can swap out feats for your familiar that it qualifies for such as those in the animal archive.

edit: i read it as familiars being able to use extra body slot feat if they don't have a humanoid shape. if they do have humanoid shape they don't need it in the first place.

Guys,
you got it all wrong. It is clearly going to be an all dwarf AP where you hunt dinosaurs and eventually desna herself. O.O its so clear to me now.... WHO SPILLED THE COCAINE!!!! WHO DID IT!!!! Poe was originally meant to be killed in the crash on Jakku, but the filmmakers thankfully changed their minds. Hopefully he'll be given more to do in the next movies.

[Edited to add link]

That explains a lot about his role in the movie.

I hope BB-8 is not stuck in an x-wing for the rest of the series. They nailed BB-8 in my opinion as a cute friendly droid adventuring with people not going beep beep bop in the back of an x-wing.

I really liked the movie. The way they changed up how Rey came to (or remembered) the force.... how Kylo Ren can see what she cant understand yet( I see the ocean and island) and he can feel her fear as she is awakening (dont be afraid I feel it too) wow it was crazy. :D

I also like how they made it seem like Fin would be the force user but flipped script in the actual movie.
Poor Poe... not sure what they will do with him.
BB-8 is again on point all the way.

you should each tie an angry goblin to a rope and beat each other in a manly game of goblin tag. It is the only way to know who is the true leader . >:)

outsiders and dragons are usually pretty good for this. It depends on what you are looking to do with it.

Sorry, I dont consider anyone dealing with spells of that level to be "new". And if your a new GM who has older players running all over you, I would advise to talk it out or find new players.
Sim spell is very open ended yes but I think the implications of its power level are very clear. Of course this is also just my opinion and I am not saying that those that do not like it are wrong either.

Themed groups I have either run, or want to run:

  • All-paladin group (but of different deities)
  • All-tiefling group (for Council of Thieves)
  • Middle-aged townsfolk have to take up the mantle of hero when all of the young and able-bodied pass away mysteriously
  • Thieves' guild, starting from the bottom of the guild to the top.

Ran an all paladin group through the first few books of the Curse of the crimson throne. It was blast!

They curbstomped that poor AP, had me scrambling to make it challenging.
It was their introduction to Pathfinder and gaming period pretty much, but alas my then girlfriend and her friends decided that while they were having fun- magarita/mahjong/netflix night was more fun XD. oh well.
One of the highlights of the short campaign was when they sent their divine mounts (all of which had names btw) after one group of baddies and they chased the other. I can only imagine how scary having five holy horses chase you down and drag you out of your house would be.

I also had a lot of fun running a devils nunnery orphanage in Isger campaign. The campaign started off with them all being orphans and under the tutelage and training of the Chelaxian battle nuns/monks.
Then they got to choose they classes after graduating.
It was fun with them running around trying to get out of chores, get contraband, survive training,, etc.
The punishments were always fun, having to play pinata with a beehive and things like that.
"Sister Benevolent Murder Most Furious tells you to sit down and eat your greens." "what do you do?"
"I sit the @#$% down and eat my greens of course." XD

Never seen art of the dragon orbs before. That is neat.

To easy to switch out silver dragons if needed. Maybe they want the cloud fortresses.

Silver Crusade

Always down with dragons. Fire and frost are awesome giants. And storm are their own level of cool in the cloud castles.
Is that an air elemental with the giant or a new cool cloud elemental.

" the magus knew red dragon swarm was a dangerous mythic spell to cast... His words echoed into the sky - I REGRET NOTHING!!!!

Silver Crusade

It is a delicate balancing act but I like to give each dragon a special ability or two. Sometimes nothing powerful just different.

Favorite dragon encounter I made was a dragon sneaking into the night and painting a symbol of confusion on a prominent tower next to a church. Crashed a ceremony the next day and activated it with his breath weapon. Paladins and clerics whipping their own towns backside and terrorizing everyone was a pretty fun encounter to watch the party respond too. Set up the dragon as a pretty hardcore Villanova early off in the campaign.

Got to play a game with Mike Brocks high level fighter with Kyle Elliot gming. We face a vampire. I look down at my char sheet and realize I dont have prot from evil prepared. Party spends the entire fight getting monkey stomped by said vampire with dominate, web, and fireball. I finally see on my sheet that the reason I do not have it prepared is because I have a wand of purchased a long time ago. Doh!

It is in a way "open" gaming madness because all the paizo staff are at the banquet which is the Saturday evening slot.
Fear not however, for there are many games to be found or simply hang out with the bar crowd. That is where much merry drinking will be and games to be found usually.

Having read my post over again I realize it may not be clear that I am joking about something Mr. Wes would say to the players. Just wanted that to be clear, I would not disrespect someone like that.

Silver Crusade

Haha yeah, I saw the hope optional on things to bring to the game with you and thought it was pretty funny. I thought of something funny I pictured a gm taunting the group with. XD

Silver Crusade

Mr. Wes: "I would just like to let all of you at my table know that even though this an eighteen plus game... you are free to cry at all times throughout this. I myself will be in tears of laughter and this may interfere with my reading the prepared material but fear not for I have memorized it." :)

Deliver Touch Spells (Su): If a witch is 3rd level or higher, her familiar can deliver touch spells or hexes for her. If the witch and the familiar are in contact at the time the witch casts a touch spell, she can designate her familiar as the “toucher.” The familiar can then deliver the touch spell just as the witch would. As usual, if the witch casts another spell before the touch is delivered, the touch spell dissipates. If the witch activates a hex, her familiar can be used to make the touch. She does not have to be in contact with the familiar to use this ability.

Its on the witch familiar description part. It is easy to miss. :)

Second Darkness!!! So much awesome. NPCs (villains and friends) in there are outstanding. Locations are amazing.
Riddleport was a perfect starting location.
It is even better if the area is actually explored and the npcs from the guide actually inserted and used by the GM.

Second Darkness and Legacy of Fire are my favorite APs so I guess a little bias is there, haha.

One more thing for Second Darkness... The Xacarba!!!! :D

Silver Crusade *

Remembering that the things you were locked in mortal comabt with laughed at your fireball and requested another is just common sense.

The hard question is when you show up at a scenario that works better if you play along with the story even though you know how that monster works.
Or your character has seen every wedding he has attended go violently south (must have been the cake right?) and still shows up in a tux and not full plate with her trusty sword.

Silver Crusade

Congrats!! :D

So is marriage a prestige class or an archtype? :)

You could also have a parent that has a magic item in the house with shiny goodness radiating from it or insidious horribad seeping forth.
Exposure to it while in the womb or after birth even has brought forth a transformation.
Heck, your parents could even be pathfinders, easily explaining the presence of such magic paraphernalia, idols, books, hieroglyphics, tapestry, gems, etc.
Now what I dont know canon wise for golarion is if you can be transformed later in life. Ie, as an adult go from human to WTF! Maybe you can, maybe not in PFS.

If you are wanting to inject a little humor into the item turned me into this story, you could say an incident at the main lodge during your childhood is the reason bring your daughter to work day was banned in the Society.
