for answer 2: your familiar can use the skill ranks its master has if they wish to do so. So your familiar has access to its own skill set and its masters.
for question 3: I am pretty sure that having that book is fine, however you would need access to stats for it.
I am not sure about the order of the cockatrice required to have weapon focus.... however I guess it would only matter if you had something that added to intimidate checks when using it.
I'm for letting it stand. If it truly somehow becomes a problem, it is simple to take it away. Just replace it with another trait. Not something people are likely to be able to build a character around.
try simple green bathroom cleaner or things like it. It is what I use. However, I have not done that on PF minis, only DDM. So try a little before you douse and scrub with a toothbrush or the like.
Are you comfortable telling us what town or area you are in? Maybe some of us could see if there were groups we know of in your area. Google, paizo, pfs, etc. are good ways to find games.
Normally, replay is supposed to be pretty rare.
I am going to provide this example not to discredit your complaint of gold expenditure, as it is your feelings on the matter, but to show you the norm at the spot I used to play it before moving.
Not quite the same but...... I had a player who said his characters family was eaten by a zombie t-rex for a backstory. We have a pretty loose and fun style of playing when I gamed with that group.
Happy the thread has stayed awesome. :)
^^This. Players used the equipment section on materials and devised ways to make gold rain from the heavens. Wall of Iron was one of those ways.
I remember at a Norwescon I asked a panel of game designers what was one of the biggest mistakes they ever made when creating an encounter as a GM.
If anyone wants to meet for food or drinks let me know, I'm down with seeing people before the con rush kicks in
Beware on the Sacred spell for the paladin as it requires a paladin's bonded weapon to work. If you have a paladin with the bonded weapon ability, that is a pretty cheap way to prepare. At only 375g and usable with a caster level check that is very easy to use -yes please. For PFS that is 2 PA for a scroll with two of them.
The Crypt Breaker Alchemist right out of the door gets 1d4 every other level force damage against anything not corporal undead or construct.
Gnome Magus can put one point of favored class bonus to add ghost touch to arcana abilities she is capable of adding. This is along with a solid list of other additions to the normal magus arcana weapon buff list.
Priests with the darkness or shadow domain??? cant remember. can summon shadows to go claw to claw.
The shadow demon is summonable with Summon Monster VI. Not only can he affect incorporeal as he is himself incorporeal, he can use telekinesis to launch "MR SUCK CHA Damage" away from your party. I believe he can also drop some shadowy cover which could negate the gaze attack while the party gets its crap together to deal with the incorporeal threat.
That's true so I guess two of the choices could be:
1: Full numerical adds to primary hit and negative five to bite, this costing no feats
2: Expending feat for TWF, and taking -2 to prime but also taking only -2 to bite. Hmmmm.... hard choice actually....
Good catch there.
One thing to keep in mind, the rapier with agile enhancement will make putting keen on it a +3 total costwise.
Pros: You can start the game with dex to damage and hit along with keen on your weapon. Or if you don't care about keen, then something else or an item instead.
Of course, this in complete and total absence of story and concept just pure mechanics.
PS: with a gobbo I would do the scimitar route and if your bite came up enough get an AOMF with agile enchantment. Maybe even TWF with scimitar and bite. Things to consider.... Sounds fun either way.
Exactly. I see a few have found awesome uses for the inquisitor but I cant get into it. Seems fun tho, even taken seriously without the batman and monty python references that will inevitably come up.
For some deities I just don't know though.
Not for specific slots before hand no. But if you show up early and sign up for the slots open, there is a pretty good chance there will be tables available for you to play together at.
EDIT:: By show up early I mean be the first in line or close to it.
Nope they are same. I can see the question as they are referred to specifically as weapons but nope the answer is small and medium characters bomb the for the same damage.Dont shortchange your gnome. ;)
I am so sorry, I did not know that scenario was not released yet. I will see if they still need volunteers for it.
The dark and terrible powers of google have been consulted, and they have answered my friend, oh have they answered.
Im down if we can get a group Majuba. Just to make sure, I would be running "The Price of Friendship" correct?I will bring some extra stuff for adhoc GMing as is, so should be no problem.
Undead:: Dont even get to sleep when their dead. irony defined.
Bro Im going to be honest. A quick search of mine did not turn much up.
Basically, things get wonky. My advice is dont make the mistake of assuming importance immediately begets one a "bazillion gold ransom.. ah ah ah!!!"
to quote jerry from another thread:
like big axe and i cannot lie
a voice from the heavens above sounding oddly like charles heston says:
If the ranger selects archery, he can choose from the following list whenever he gains a combat style feat....."
and there you have it straight from the PRD and Core Rulebook.
I think the mephit is really neat and would like to see more of them.
Just a Mort: The chart at the beginning of the mephit entry lists the baseline mephit. The entrys for the specific ones (air, fire, etc) list the changes that supersede.
bard is good. For the wicked damage part, with the bard you can do major damage while boosting the major damage dealers in your party even further.
I have not been part of PFS as long as the PFS VFW members, but I have been a part for about three years. I am enjoying the awesomeness that is PFS.
Shivok, awesome job on the oracle at paizocon and I am glad you got your training at Drum done in the summer and not the winter. Burrrrrrrr.
Ovule, in my opinion the wizard necro is pretty strong although the cleric is as well.
The cleric is not wanting in itself but it is more limited in options. My cleric has found the awesomeness of breath of life to be worth the wait, that character has brought over 12 fellow pathfinders back from the gates of pharasmas boneyard with BOL. That and a certain friendly stegosaurus named Taldor has made the cleric fun for me to play.
On the wizard note, I almost always choose a familiar because i like pets, however the apg has a pretty cool albeit expensive item that when used as an arcane bond allows necromancers to spontaneously change any necromancy school spell they have prepared into another necromancy school spell they know. Pretty cool, eh.

On the way actually. About 30 min. Jeff and kev should be there tonight or tomorrow.
Kobold: yes. just have to buy it.
edit: if peeps are needing or wanting to coordinate last minute to save a bit, I have no problems picking people up at the airport. no charge.
Ahhhhh.... such fond memories of Dralkard Manor. If I remember both groups I gmd it for liked it alot.
BTW, I miss the option of having the familiar used in that scenario. Not quite sure why it went away.
