About Luckless Lem
Lem fell victim to a tragic accident when his body underwent dramatic and gooey transformations. Not even he remembered the details, but clues suggest he may have snuck into the wrong alchemical lab one night while gathering evidence for the trial of a dangerous wizard affiliated with the Aspis Consortium.
With great focus, he could resume his natural form-- or that of just about anyone else, for a while-- but eventually he must return to his new, "natural", form, that of a shapeless gelatinous mass.
This turn of events stunted his legal career, and he made the best of things by focusing on adventuring for Pathfinder Society full time, where his talents often overcame his handicaps.
While combatting a fledgeling Assassin's guild in the sewers of Daggermark, Lem was murdered by a Doppleganger who mistook him for the original target, whom he had murdered earlier in the evening & whom Lem may have been impersonating at the time...
