I was thinking more of the midnight wake up calls by Declan (Drendal) Dreng where is was so important that you went immediately even though he had sent other pathfinders before you. Bring him back and we'll have some fun. :)
I've gone with a Kitsune Fighter who will be a "grapple, DEX fighter" and all the normal feats going to Magical Tail and the fighter bonus feats going toward replacing STR modifiers with DEX modifiers (ex. Weapon Finesse). His main stats are DEX and CHR and is a very good talker (traits to add CHR skills as class skills.) He won't be very effective in combat until about 4th level, but is an absolute blast to play so far. He is also a Chelaxian native with an interesting back story.
And I've got a Warhorn link now. If you have a request, or question, either message me here, or email barb@cogcongaming.com

Looks like Heidmarch manor is close enough to the cliff for this to work... but it seriously derailed the chase.
As long as you sort out the different areas (Forest, Urban, Dungeon) and only use the specific area for the module, (I forgot to separate the areas and ended up getting a cliff in the middle of Magnimar and just went with it) it actually runs well with the deck. The next time I ran with the deck, it was lots of fun, even to a couple people who normally don't like the chase scenes.
I know they aren't actual Society adventures, but don't forget about the sanctioned modules. I know there was a post on here awhile back about the path to get to about level 18 using modules. I'll see if I can dig it up and link to it. As for having more 12+ official scenarios, I'm good with having Eyes of the Ten and the occasional Convention Special. It gives those that truly want to play their character another option and not just be limited to modules. EDIT: dang you and your ninja Walter

I liked the challenge of applying the template myself, but then I found a link to this monster advancement tool on d20pfsrd. It has saved me time and mistakes when changing creatures. I don't think it has all the monsters in there, but definitely has the majority of them. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3049811/pub/PRPG%20Monsters.htm
The Gaming Association at Missouri S&T presents their Spring Game Day, Friday evening, March 8 and Saturday, March 9. This event is free, however donations will be accepted to defray the costs of the game day. This event will be held at the Havener Student Center on the Missouri S&T Campus in Rolla, MO. We will be offering all available Year 4 modules including #4-EX: Day of the Demon. If there is enough interest, we are also planning on running Pathfinder Society Special: Blood Under Absalom. I will update this post once I have a link to the Warhorn site. Hope to see you there. If you have any questions, feel free to post here or contact me and I'll see if I can get them answered.
Along these lines, I don't go all out on the handouts, but I do take the time before hand to make my own printed document that has all the stat blocks for each sub-tier. This way, the only thing I have to print out is the handouts, chronicles, and the stat blocks. I do configure the templates, if any, for the NPCs/monsters. It makes it easier for me to then run the scenario from my tablet and not have to worry about flipping pages to make sure I get the right encounter stats. I've only got a few completed, but as I prepare to judge a new scenario, I add these to my collection. I'd be willing to share what I have with anyone who wants it. Just send me a message.
As far as I know, you can make up just about anything for continuity sake between the faction leaders. I don't think there were any explicit stories on the change of power and the addition of the new factions. I could be wrong about this as my Golarion history roll is only a +3. You could look at the changes from season 2 to 3 as being, the people giving the missions from season 0-2 are subordinates of the new faction head, or that the current faction leaders are working with the faction leaders from season 0-2 and share the same goal. Most of my players wonder why certain factions were paired up with others for the early scenarios, but just go with it except with certain alignments (LG) and factions (Silver Crusade) not doing the mission given by the Andoran faction leader.

I'd be willing to send my Kitsune boon as well with nothing in return. I've got the Kitsune/Nagaji/Wayang boon and I doubt I'll play a Wayang.

It's in the guide to PFS, but it also states that Paladin code trumps the evil act falling to the superior.
As far as I can tell it is allowed since the Field Guide is Core assumption. I don't think it skews the WBL curve by much so it isn't overpowered. Also, you still have to have the fame available for the total price of the item, even if you receive a discount. If I'm mistaken, please let me know. I don't have many Qadiran players in my area, so I don't know this vanity well. Additional Resources wrote:
Master of the Fallen Fortress is a 1st level, no XP character. That's part of the draw since you can have people who have been playing forever and noobs together at the same table and have a blast. While I would love to join in on the fun, I'm limited on travel with 2 kids under 4 at home. If you can make it, I recommend it.
Thanks to everyone who made it to CogCon this past weekend. We had more people show then we anticipated, but I don't think anyone was turned away. There were a total of 40+ table over the 5 slots of PFS. If you get a chance and are within driving distance to Cape Girardeau, MO head over to Brewfest and enjoy some PFS and locally brewed beer.
Our PFS selection has grown. Check out our Warhorn page to sign up. Slot 1 - Oct 19 - 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Slot 2 - Oct 20 - 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Slot 3 - Oct 20 - 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Slot 4 - Oct 20 - 6:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Slot 5 - Oct 21 - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
As always, if you have a specific scenario you would like to see ran, please let me know here, or email barb@cogcongaming.com.
I've not seen any PCs, but there is a scenario with a ScrollMaster and the PCs were like WTF? I don't think it is practical for Society play since there is no crafting rules and gold is limited, but I would enjoy seeing a ScrollMaster at a table I'm judging just to see the reaction on the other players faces when you pull out scrolls for a shield and weapon.
I make a digital backup of all my paperwork for my characters, but still have everything on paper with me. Now, I'm cutting down on paper when I judge by only printing the handouts and chronicles and using my Eee Pad for the scenario. Now, I do copy out stat blocks for certain things so I don't have to switch between PDFs in the middle of a slot, but still much less paper and ink used this way.

Awesome. We're still working out who will be running that table, but it will be a blast no matter who ends up running it. Thanks for getting registered early so we know what we are up against.

Yeah, I just reread it and realised I misread it for #3. It doesn't say anything about the "caster" but about those outside the radius of the fog.
obscuring mist:
A misty vapor arises around you. It is stationary. The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature 5 feet away has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker cannot use sight to locate the target).
A moderate wind (11+ mph), such as from a gust of wind spell, disperses the fog in 4 rounds. A strong wind (21+ mph) disperses the fog in 1 round. A fireball, flame strike, or similar spell burns away the fog in the explosive or fiery spell's area. A wall of fire burns away the fog in the area into which it deals damage. This spell does not function underwater. 1) I would think that mage armor would trigger the reformation of the armor since regular armor and mage armor don't stack normally. 2) If you are riding a horse faster then 11mph then it would take a while to disperse and if riding faster then 21mph would disperse in a round. 3) Yes as per obscuring mist.
I let the GM know I'm a Bladebound Magus and if he has anything he wants to add to the flavor of the character, he can, but I usually just describe it as "you see an Elf in a trench coat with a cane and every once in a while you hear him talking to himself." This definitely gets some funny stares at the table when you start talking to yourself about the "silly barbarian and his stench being an OK person to be with."
If you bring it to CogCon it's not allowed. [/sarcasm] I've not seen anyone using it yet, so I'd have to look up the rules on it. Again it could be a YMMV type item and we;\'ll see how others rule. Edit: I don't see any problems with it. It looks like obscuring mist in armor form. I'd allow it and use it as if someone cast obscuring mist.
nosig wrote: this means it wont be at CogCon I guess... sigh. Brewfest is now a different weekend from what I've heard. I don't know of any specifics, but it sounds like they had an issue with their first choice of location. If someone who knows something can inform us about it, I would appreciate it. Also, nosig, we are attempting to make a key ourselves. And everyone have fun this weekend. My first Con ever was in Carbondale. :)
