Suck it, Joss haters. The Avengers movie is glorious. GLORIOUS! This may very well be the best super hero film I've ever seen. FHDM will weep because he is going to leave the film enjoying what he saw. Saying anything else would be lies. LIES! 
I probably shouldn't yell like that this early in the day, but what can I say - I'm loud.So, I need lots of new clothes for the new job. I go poke around at the Nordstrom Off the Rack to see how far my money might go there (not far), and I notice that, men's shirts have gotten lots louder than they used to be. What style advice do the FaWTLies have for a guy looking to bring his CHA MOD up through the purchasing of better, but not necessarily crazy more expensive, clothes? I am going to +1 this and add Kohls. I love me some Kohls. 
I don't understand -do you hate Cameron or avatar? Because the movie was not for everyone, certainly, and I can only stand the man due to this one work.EAT IT CAMERON! YOU F+%~ING HACK! YOU USED TO BE GOOD, BUT NOW YOU'RE JUST ANOTHER TOOL!I'm sorry to hear that you don't care for Cameron. While I truly detest Titanic, I loved Avatar. I will grant you that the visual effects in Avatar are amazing. It was the only thing that made the movie bearable. But the movie as a whole...the words tired and recycled come to mind. Cameron is so preachy and full of himself and he makes these hideously mediocre movies to great critical acclaim....the guy wouldn't know an original idea if it bit him. :/

Well, I was let go from my job today. Nice to get no advance warning after almost six years there ... and to be told I should take my two week's notice away from the office ... That sucks Mothman. Prayers and positive thoughts headed your way. (((hugs)))

Could use some good thoughts and maybe a couple prayers. Keeping our hand closer yo our chests at the moment, but if this goes like I'd like it too things could really work out for us. 
Just in case anyone was wondering I was a good five miles from any damage. Of course they predicted the damage to be five miles from me on the other side of us. Still it was hours and hours until we got the internet or cable back. just in time for another storm to pass by. I did get to sleep and had a nice day out with the wife. Watched Hugo and finally got to see the new version of Fright Night. my new favorite quote:
"I am not drunk enough for this s!~*." - Peter Vincent Not to mention watching Game of Thrones and last Friday's Grimm. I love GoT. I could do without certain scenes but damnit they throw so much subtle stuff in on those scenes that even uncomfortable I have to watch it. Speaking of Subtle, Grimm is being very, very close to the chest on so many things. I can see how good the show will be, I just don't want to wait for it.
So big news in the Moorluck household. I decided to get off my butt and finish my degree. Which means taking this huge SAT like test. I think I'll do ok with the reading and writing portions, but the math will be a pain. So I will be studying my ass off!!! I feel a lil silly, but I have gone all the way back to fractions, from there I'll move to decimals and then to algebra. *shrugs*

Well, Kellen's IEP meeting went wonderfully! He called this meeting himself to tell us that he is ready to transition himself full time in a mainstream classroom! I am so damn proud of him! ♥ 
Morning FAWTLY Folk! Charlie had a good night, although mom had to get up to feed him around 0430 to try and put him back to sleep a bit longer. And, since I'm feeling 100% better today, it's back to work. But we've got a three day weekend coming up! Huzzah for President's Day! 
Ok, so I put down the deposit on the new place on Friday, and move in on the second. I am sooo stoked to have my own space for the first time in, wow, over eleven years...

The Cupcake has arrived and been eaten! gary was postulating that we possibly were getting actual cupcakes. I then saw a tube from mexico and immediately started imagining what type of cupcakes would come from Mexico in a tube.

I believe we now have a working definition for the term "fawesome".
I'm utterly flabbergasted. You folks are all amazing and I'm just... I'm so thankful that you guys seem to love us as much as we love you :D
