The character I had in mind would be a member of this race, but with a catch: after an invasion gone wrong, his killing squad is wiped out and somehow he managed to barely survive, but now he is cut off from the hive and stuck on an alien world. His sentience and self awareness soon kicks in, making him realize the actions of his race and what it means to be an individual. Alone and confused, he wanders the planet for days, until he stumbles upon an isolated mountain range which is inhabited by a mysterious sect of monks. The monks find him lying near death, and decide to help him, as they do not have prejudice against any race. At this solitary place the insect-like hero is confused about his saviors, and a deep struggle between his old instincts and newfound sentience appears. The monks help him with his crisis, and in time take him under training of their ways of clarity of mind. Moar to follow.</p>

All of them drawn to the call of Acavna, they somehow share the same destiny which brought them out in the depths of the jungle.</p>
<p>He is about of average height, somewhat skinny and lean, black braided hair and brown eyes, and a darker skin tone, a sign of his native heritage of the Mwangi plains. He wears light clothing, and a green cloak; an unexperienced observer would probably mistake him for a druid or a similar servant of nature. But his powers are drawn from the arcane, with a pinch of fey magic which enabled his deeper connection with nature, and brought to him his ape companion Kogor: a large, black haired ape, who was with him since childhood, protecting him from the dangers of the jungle.</p>
<p>Finding new strength after hearing the call of the goddess, he managed to track his new companions from across the expanse, and joined them in their, some would say, foolish task, of restoring a lost civilization. The memories of betrayal and his father's fate still lingering in his mind, but with a goal and purpose in mind. He aided his companions with his magical prowess, but also acting as a counselor and aid to others, always bringing their spirits up, even in the face of danger. Such was his nature.</p>

<p>I have a question regarding a mythic path ability of the archmage, called perfect preparation, and which states that a wizard can prepare his spells without the need of a spellbook. It is debated wether it allows you to prepare spells like a cleric, or does it give you a "mental spellbook". I would like to know your thoughts on this, so I can plan accordingly.</p>
