I'm getting ready to start running this (the 5e version) for my home group on Tuesday, and I have one major question so far.

I have always done so. I have a separate ITS for spell scribing.

No, I was waiting for the update that Bob said he would post when reporting was complete.

One concern I had was that being able to apply a chronicle directly to a lower-level character might in some cases give them access to boons that were originally intended not to come into play until higher levels.

You don't get them until the character who received credit is higher level.

You do not benefit from any boons until your Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild character reaches the minimum level listed on the Chronicle sheet, unless otherwise noted.

Just wanted to check in to see if reporting is complete, and if I should report my table of Hao Jin Cataclysm as missing.

I am not a big fan of the vehicle rules.

As a local coordinator, it is sort of important that I be able to access that page in order to create new events and obtain new PFS numbers.

I have tried many times at different times of day and night to get the page to load, with no success.

I attempted to load the page, got the goblin error page after 10 minutes, then went back to my account and attempted to load the page again. 10 minutes later it timed out again and I got the goblin error page.

Want: I'd also love a Seasoned Archivist/Taldan Courtier

The swarm was brutal for them; just like in PFS, people have to learn that you have to be prepared for swarms.

I disagree. In PFS you can reasonably afford backup weapons or consumables. I do not find that to be the case in SFS, or if you do pick them up they are woefully underpowered unless you invest an unreasonable number of credits. For example, the tactical arc emitter in this encounter does, IIRC, 1d4 damage. If you hit.

My experience with this scenario was, "Here is an enemy you can't reasonably damage and that will poison you to death/uselessness/unconsciousness".

Followed by, "Here is a vehicle chase where your character abilities really don't matter."

I wanted to like the scenario, it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm interested. It looks like we need to use the pregens specifically printed in Resonance Test for this adventure. I have played the regular version of Raiders of Shrieking Peak.

It was released as a special so it would could for specials run if that metric matters. Whether or not it continues to be a special, I don't know.

I would assume that Claim to Salvation is similar to Paths We Choose (it had no special requirements to run and didn't count toward 5-star qualification).

All of the single table scenarios from Pathfinder Society which counted toward 5-star qualification required four or five stars to run. Since there was no nova requirement to run Claim to Salvation I wouldn't think that it would count toward specials run for 5-nova qualification.

That being said, it might be a good idea for PCs who felt useless in this encounter to look at ways they could change their characters to be prepared for encounters like this in the future—after all, that's what being a Starfinder is all about! I mean, look at how Pathfinder taught us to be ready for swarms... ;)

I think that comparing Starfinder to Pathfinder in this regard is a false equivalency. In Pathfinder (at least PFS) you have enough gold to maintain your offence and defense and have some left over for contingency consumables or interesting items.

Conversely there never seem to be enough credits in Starfinder (at least in SFS) to keep your weapon and armor current, let alone stuff that you might need. A backup sniper weapon or area weapon to deal with swarms will be woefully underpowered against on- or above-level threats (see Save the Renkrodas).

Based on this post by Bob Jonquet it sounds like they are working on it.

I looked and couldn't find an answer to the following.

In the Core Campaign, my wizard gets access to a spell book with Ant Haul in it. As was specified in a blog the wizard can pay to put this spell into his spell book and the fact that he did this is written on the chronicle sheet.

To be very explicit, there is NOT a scroll of Ant Haul on the chronicle sheet.

Can the wizard now purchase scrolls of Ant Haul? They're a spell on his chronicle sheet so I think maybe yes. But its really unclear to me.

If he CAN buy that scroll, can he lend the scroll to his cleric friend to cast?

Yes.

Can that cleric friend then use that scroll to ALSO learn Ant Haul?

No.

If the character is a Wizard/Cleric multiclass character, can he have his OWN character use that scroll to learn Ant Haul as a cleric?

No.

Even though it isnt written anywhere I would say by inference or to quote my favorite Venture Lieutenant "metaphorically" bipedals arent supposed to be mounts.

The convention gives us a budget which is completely used to pay for rooms and parking reimbursement for our GMs. And even then I end up spending money out of my pocket to cover parking for GMs because it takes a lot of GMs to run 100 games.

Sorry, I was under the misapprehension that these were events you were organizing yourself (where you could set convention badge pricing) and not events under the umbrella of a larger convention.

From an outsider's perspective it sounds like you are being pretty generous to your GMs. I've only ever received a free hotel room at GenCon and the one year I volunteered at SCARAB (1/4 of a room for each). I've never received parking reimbursement. For example, when I go to DragonCon I spend over $1,000 for a hotel room, plus parking fees, food etc. I get my badge comped by the convention for GMing, and I travel with one or two other people which helps cut costs, but it is still an expensive proposition.

I don't mean to sound callous, but it sounds like you have prioritized how you spend your funds. You could re-prioritize (which I understand isn't a helpful statement, as GMs now have an expectation of what they will receive).

Will the ACG component of Cosmic Captive be offered? I have player and GM credit for all of these in Core and Standard (except for core Legacy of the Stonelords, which I've thrown my hat in the ring to run), and I've never tried the ACG version of a special.

Also, could somebody point me to a tutorial on how ACG works in PbP?

EDIT: I don't have standard GM credit for Blood Under Absalom, or core credit for playing/GMing Race for the Runecarved Key, in case you are planning to run those in the future! ;)

I already have four characters beyond my initial two with Commencement and Into the Unknown credit. I don't really want to make another character just so that I can benefit from the capstone boons of my first two characters.

Why aren't boons allowed to be slotted for this adventure? IMO that is really dumb. I finally got a really useful boon, and the next adventure I play after acquiring it won't let me slot it. Why even bother handing them out?

I'm super frustrated by that.

For hard copies, I would really prefer two booklets. One with the adventure and one with all of the NPCs/new items.

Please no. I already have a million files, I don't want to double that.

I’ve just gone back and unchecked all the PFS scenarios. While this still isn’t an accurate reporting, it should “hide” me in the data and it won’t look like I’ve “won” anymore. Sorry for mucking up that data; I simply wasn’t aware it was being compiled and tracked.

Sorry for being petty, but sometimes I can't help myself.

I'm not sure who user 'graypark' is, however their data integrity seems off. For example, they have marked down that they have GM'd and played every Season 0 scenario in core (which wouldn't be unusual, except that the retired scenarios are also marked, and I find it hard to believe that they were able to GM a retired scenario in Core, unless 'graypark' is a Paizo employee).

I still get a golem page.

I actually have no way to currently look at any of my sessions. My player sessions tab won't load, my GM sessions tab won't load, and my GM/Event coordinator tab won't load. I know that at least some of these problems are known/being addressed.
