I've gone back and forth on this issue but I need to conserve my money and get a more rounded use of it. Consequently I would like to cancel my Starfinder RPG subscription. I am keeping certain other subscriptions on for a limited time to show support for the direction you are taking the lines and I will definitely be picking up PDFs here and there in the future. This is not to say that I do not wish to support where you are going with the Starfinder RPG line, quite the opposite. I just have to start somewhere.
Okay so I mentioned some of this in a response to my previous thread regarding Order #4203755 but I thought I should make it its own thread as it involved a different order # now. I am a little confused. There was a piece of this order that was a replacement for an incorrect item I was sent with another order. It was my understanding that that item was going to ship together with my subscription this month and thus be trackable as I have my subscription shipping option set to UPS. Early yesterday that one item was sent separately and then later my regular subscription was also sent. I don't understand why the change why it shipped separately instead of together. I also don't understand why none of it shipped UPS despite my subscription settings being set to UPS. In looking over my authorization emails just now to try and understand what happened I noticed that the Authorization email I received after the replacement was added to my sub had the non-UPS shipping listed, so I accept that I should have said something then but I glossed over it when I saw the email because this has not happened to me in the past. Anyway I guess what I would like to know is if this was a mistake or if this is something that will just occasionally happen with my shipments regardless of me having my subscription shipping settings set to UPS. I choose UPS because I want to be able to track my package every step of the way so that I know when to check my front steps as everyone leaves it there regardless of the weather. Sorry to be such a pain, I am just trying to understand what happened. I am not mad or angry or anything, so I hope this post does not come off that way.
Unfortunately when This order arrived I had received the wrong Pawn Collection. You sent me the Summon Monster Pawn Collection and not the Pathfinder Society Pawn Collection that I ordered. This is additionally troublesome as rather than just have it ship with my next subscription I paid for it to be shipped separately to ensure that it would arrive before Feb 15th when I will want it available for use.
I don't often do this, but right now I feel like this is something I have to do, like this is the right thing to do. Just before July 4th, a friend of mine took their own life. I'm not looking for sympathy or condolences, though I will appreciate those that are offered. I also will not go into the details because they are not the point of this message. What matters, why I am doing this, is that a friend who I had no idea was having problems, was indeed having problems and took their own life. I have spent the last while running this through my head trying to process this and what I come to is this: To all my friends, If you are in need, I am here for you. This is not an empty platitude. I mean this with all my heart, if you need me I am here for you. I may not be able to offer monetary help, or advice, but I will always be there for you in what ways I can. Be that an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on or arms to hold you. No matter what it is you are going through know that I am here for you. Do this for me, or do this for my friend, or better yet do this for yourself, but for whatever reason you do it, make sure that those you love and care for know it. Be there for your friends and make sure they know you are there for them.

I have been struggling since I first wrote this on whether to post this here, but I decided to go ahead and post it because sometimes we all just need a reminder.
I was just casually flipping through the campaign setting books product pages and I noticed that for some reason the Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Hell's Rebels Poster Map Folio product page shows it as unavailable. It only showed final images and description last month so I can't imagine it is OOP already also there is no option for a pdf version available. I suspect there is something wrong with its page.
I just received my order that contained this set, 3527958, and when I checked out the cards that came with. I had a duplicate of Damiel's card and there was no card associated with Padrig. As I understand it, this is not the correct card distribution for the pack, right? Can we get this fixed? Or do I have to email wizkids? Thank you, Cory Gilman
Just a heads up. I just received my subscription shipment, and I was looking through my comics, specifically Origins #2. The Map was stapled into the binding of the comic. I was able to pry open the staple, remove the mab and reclose the staple without damaging my comic, but there may be other people who have this same problem, that can't. Cory Gilman
I noticed that the authorization email I received for my subscriptions does not include my sidecart. I know one of the items in the order is a preorder. Could I get the rest added to this subscription shipment? Also on the My Account page it says I have 3 pending orders, but I only see two when I actually go to the Order History page. Is there something wierd with my account or is this just the result of some known issue? Thanks, Cory Gilman
Quick question. Can I, if I apply my GM credit to a character who has the ability to copy from spellbooks, copy from a spellbook that the PCs could have found in the scenario? ie if the scenario features a wizard, who's spellbook is listed in his equipment, and I apply my GM credit to my Magus PC can my Magus copy from the Wizard's spellbook? Just wanted to know, so I don't miss out on opportunities for adding spells to my spell/formula books.
I just received my subscription shipment for December, and much to my dismay there was no Holiday Card included. Is there no card this year? Did I just get missed? If there is a card this year, is there a way for me to get one now? I have looked forward to the card every year for the past couple years and have kept all the cards I have received. I realize this isn't the end of the world. I'm just hoping that I can still get one if there is one this year.
So we didn't have time to run a full adventure or scenario. So I just pulled a couple of encounters out of various encounters/scenarios. There were three of us, and we each made a level 5 character using one of the playtest classes, 20 point buy and appropriate Wealth per level. I ran one character as well as the enemies. The Characters are spoilered below. Warpriest:

We ran two different encounters. The first was 1 Ghast and 6 Ghouls(approx CR 6), due to tactics and successful skill usage the PCs had the drop on the enemies. They ended up facing them in two waves with no rest in between. The PC's destroyed the Ghouls without taking a single wound. In talking about the encounter afterwards we concluded that while this fight went completely in our favor it was tactics and good dice rolls that led to such a complete success. The second encounter was a Single Ogre Mage(CR 8) in a 15' Wide 15' Tall corridor. The Ogre Mage had the drop on the PCs due to innate abilities. This fight was a forgone conclusion. The PCs were massacred. The only reason this fight went more than three rounds was good PC tactics and bad dice rolls on behalf of the Ogre Mage. I will put our conclusions regarding each class in the correct thread for the class later.
I just received this email, saying that my card had been denied. When we checked the account it is showing the charge from Paizo as pending. I think I figured out why the charge shows as denied on your end. I never updated my billing address for my subscriptions. What I don't understand is why my credit card is showing the charge as pending when you end shows it being denied. My wife is concerned that when I correct the billing address that the credit card will get charged twice. What can we do to ensure this doesn't happen?
I wanted to point out an issue that popped up when I ran yesterday for some people new to PFS. In the guide, it calls out that the Traits document that is online is allowed. Nowhere in the guide does it mention that some of those traits, are not allowed in PFS. This was not an issue when The additional resources document was part of the guide. Now in reading through the guide I would never guess that I need to check the Additional Resources document for exceptions in what is allowed from the Traits document. Any exceptions to anything from the Core Rulebooks is called out in the guide. Therefore unless we know to look at the Additional Resources document we will not. In the section on the Traits, Step 7 in Chapter 2, could we get some kind of statement directing people to the Additional Resources page? Perhaps the following placed at the end of the first paragraph: Not all of the traits in these sources are suitable for Pathfinder Society play. Please check Additional Rsources at http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/about/additionalResources to make sure that the trais you have chosen are allowed. While not a huge issue to deal with, I did have to waste a significant amount of time pulling up the additional resources page to prove to myself that those traits were still disallowed.
Is there any reason a Multiclass Wizard/Witch can not have its familiar learn spells from his spellbook for his Wizard spells? I realize there is the cost issue. Is there any reason a Wizard/Alchemist/Magus can not copy spells of a level higher than he can cast into hist Spellbook/FormulaBook? How about a Witch's Familiar learning spells of a higher level? I have searched for a while and found nothing conclusive. If you have page references or can link to official statements regarding this that would be extra cool.
Not sure where to post this. I was looking at the possibility of playing a Cypher Mage. I have figured out that even though the Additional Resources page, under Inner Sea Magic, tells how to get around the required Scribe Scroll Feat for entry, it does not list a similar exception for the Cypher Magic feat, which is restricted in the next entry for Inner Sea World Guide. I have since decided against the Cypher Mage concept, though I was still planning on Cypher Script, also restricted darn, so this isn't of immediate need for me. This inconsistency should probably get cleared up. My apologies if this comes off as negative I am actually just trying to be helpful. :)
So my players have finally completed the Adventure Path and one of their number has been crowned the new King of Korvosa. I am planning on adapting the Kingmaking rules for this and I was wondering if anyone else had already done this and was willing to share any maps, etc. they may have created to support this decision.
So I have a character that I wrote up for PFS. The only chronicles on the sheet are the Tengu Boon I recieved at Con of the North and one for playing We be Goblins that I arbitrarily assigned to him. Can I make changes to him still as I haven't actually played the character yet? Or is he locked in as how I have him written up at this point? I am intrigued by some option in the ARG and wanted to know if I could follow them up in society play, if they are eventually allowed for society play.
http://paizo.com/products/btpy8ga3?Confrontation-Griffins-of-Akkylannie-Tem ple-of-the-North-Hero-BoxNonMint The item description for this miniature is misleading. The description is for the executioner, as is the picture. So when I ordered, that was what I thought I was getting. You don't seem to have anymore of the executioner so it is a moot point for me now, but I thought you should fix the item description.
I just received my copy of Bestiary 3. It arrived in good condition. However the first time I opened it the spine of the book partially separated from the cover. Anytime I open the book it makes noise that makes me believe that the damage is worsening. I have not opened the book since for fear that the cover and spine will separate completely.
So from what I remember a couple of months ago I was supposed to get two subscription shipments this month, because of GenCon. I just looked now and I see that the August items have been pushed back to september. Am I remembering wrong? Was it this way all along? Is there any way that I can get some items sooner, especially Utimate Combat?
There are several mentions of Elves and their relationship with crystals through out various books. I wanted to catalog all these mentions as well as to request more details from the great people at Paizo. I remember reference to elves preferring to craft silver and crystal in the 3.5 Campaign setting book. This reference was backed up in the Elves of Golarion book. The reference that got really interesting was in the article on the Drow in Pathfinder 15. In the section on Lithicrafting, it talks about the elves shaping trees and crystals and that lithicrafting is a variation on this ability. I would love to read more on this facet of the elves, even more so if such an article also included an ability like coldwarping which the elves used to craft silver. Has anyone found anymore mentions of this in other books, including modules? Graywulfe
I am doing some prep work for when I will be running Scarwall in a couple of months, and I was attempting to locate any PFRPG versions of the monsters in the module, I am running the AP in PFRPG. I have located most of them in either Bestiary I or II. However some have eluded me, and may in fact not have published conversions at this time. I was wondering if anyone knew of official PFRPG versions of the following.
Spoiler:
Dread Skeleton Four-armed Gargoyle Cinder Ghoul Danse Macabre Chained Spirit Skeleton Warrior Ashmede Devil Demilich Graywulfe
Honestly, I keep seeing all the hate threads and frankly it gets old. Maybe some class's mechanics I don't quite agree with, and certainly I agree that the play-test ALTERNATE classes need some work. However I have yet to see a class from Paizo that I didn't think was a neat idea. Almost every class they have put out has inspired new character concepts in me and my friends. One of my friends has stated that the APG has solidified PFRPG as his 3.5 replacement. While I was never a rules/class bloat complainer in 3.5 I can not make the same claim of inspiration from all the classes in the 3.5 era. I was inspired by many I hear derided on these boards but not anywhere near the percentage that Paizo has achieved so far. I do not make this post because I am some Paizo fanboy who worships everything they do. Truth is I wish they applied their great story-writing to other, non-D20, material, yes I realize that can't do that as a business. I make this post because I have learned the hard way that being content and silent is a good way to end up disappointed. In my eyes Paizo has kept their promises so far. I hope and believe that will continue to be true. Graywulfe DM_Awesome has not created a profile. |
