James Keegan wrote: Cool. All we have left is the Ring of Adamantine Touch, the Handy Haversack, Cloak of Resistance +2 and Figurine of Wondrous Power. Along with 5,000 gp. Ekuur has an interest in the cloak and Justin has an interest in the figurine, but Merle hasn't taken anything yet. I still think either Karrin or Isaac should take the Ring of Adamantine Touch as they are our Melee heavy hitters and need it the most. I think you (Isaac) expressed an interest in the Haversack, so you can have it as well if Merle doesn't want it. Ekuur can have the Cloak of Resistance. And Justin may as well have the Figurine of Wondrous Power if Merle doesn't want this either. So that just leaves the cash to split. alleynbard wrote:
heh, that's cool. I've done that before ("I need to reply to that" then weeks later "oh sh!t, I still haven't replied to that"). More than anything, we need to find a time to get together so that I can get everyone invited into the Guild. Unfortunately mail invites don't come until Guild Level 5 and although I've been trying (I managed to get the Guild to Level 2 all by myself) that's still a little way off. Maybe if everyone were to reply to that Message with all their Character Names that would be a start, since then we could Mail Messages in Game. alleynbard, Mairkurion, Crimson Jester, Jyu1ch1, Treppa & anyone else who is interested: Are you guys still interested in playing DDO? I sent you all a FB Message about a month ago, but noone answered (except CJ recently somewhere else). If you're not interested, that's fine, I'd just like to know is all as I spent a (little) bit of money to get the Guild created and get myself playable. Ambrosia Slaad wrote:
I'm a big fan of Shadowrun. After D&D & (Original) World of Darkness it's my next favourite. I haven't played it since just after 2nd Edition came out though and the only (few) games we did play were all 1st Ed. That said, I still love the setting and seriously considered buying the Anniversary 4th Special Edition, even though I knew I wouldn't play it.My favourite Character was a Decker, who (along with her very cool Decking abilities) could actually out fight our Street Samurai in a gun battle. After acouple of these battles, I even went back over my maths to make sure I had spent my money correctly and I had... seems he just made sub-optimal choices. :) Patrick Curtin wrote: I know it is kinda old Skool, but I like giving out actual items rather than having shopping sprees =P Nah man, I like the fact that you taylor your Phat Lootz to the Characters rather than just dumping a whole heap of crap they either can't use or don't need on them. I think that very little of your generosity has actually gone to waste, with everything being useful by someone. Bethany has her Sabre and nothing else really appeals to her (she already has a Haversack, boots wouldn't fit on her feet, she plans on making her new Jacket into a Resistance Item, so the Cloak is useless and she doesn't do enough fighting to warrant the Ring). The Bronze Griffon is a possibility, but she'd probably prefer the cash since she will be needing it for enchanting purposes down the track. Too tired and sore to go back and read the last 500 Posts. Hurt my shoulder at work yesterday morning, then had to spend all night at a friend's place helping her edit and cut a DVD Audition tape for her to enter The Amazing Race. SO on top of having a very sore shoulder, I didn't get to bed until 6am this morning, then had to look after the kids from 12pm (and they did nothing but act up and fight the whole time).

Cool, Thanks. I know when I've failed Will Saves in the past I have tended to be a little heavy handed. Of course those things you mentioned authorize and then charge but it does not take weeks to do so it's a day or so at the most. In 35 odd years of banking Paizo is the only company I have dealt with that does this. But please continue to point out the obvious especially when it has no bearing on the argument. I'm not sure where you're getting the '2 or 3 weeks' from. I've had problems with the authorisation before when ordering both .pdfs and print products in the one order, but this was a matter of being charged seperately for each product and the authorisation figure not matching the two seperate ammounts (this was a while ago though and I try not to do it anymore if I can avoid it, although recently one went through no problems). The only reason that something would be taking 2 or 3 weeks to process is if it's a pre-order or stock that isn't kept on hand in Paizo's Warehouse. Andrew Bigwood wrote: But please continue to point out the obvious especially when it has no bearing on the argument. It actually does have some bearing on the argument. When you create an order on Paizo (as with the some of the above mentioned items) it creates the authorisation to make sure that your card has the right amount of money in the account to pay for the purchase. When the item is shipping, this authorisation is processed and the charge is finalised, with the amount being debited from your account. If there is no delay on shipping, then the authorisation simply turns into the charge and there's no visible difference to your account. If however there is a delay between when you create the order and when the order ships (as in a pre-order), then after a period (which differs from financial institution to financial institution) the authorisation is cancelled and the funds are once more available. Then, once the order is ready to ship, the charge is made again to your card, this time resulting in the authorization being processed as above and the money being debited. I have had this exact scenario happen to me, so I know for a fact that this is what occurs.I agree that Paizo's system is a little different in appearance from others and as stated have had problems with it before, but the end result is the same despite the beginning process working a little unconventionally. Andrew Bigwood wrote: Was that 'snarky'? NO, you're not being 'snarky' you're just being plain rude. If you have such a problem with the system, then why not order your books through a Brick and Mortar store, or if you must do it online then via somewhere else like Amazon? So I'm having a flip through the Proofing Copy of Coliseum Morpheuon before I head back to work (yeah back, don't get me started...) and the CR 17 Stat Block I created is actually in there! I was a little worried that it wasn't good enough and would be skipped. I am sooooo happy right now :D, which is good considering I wasn't last night. Later All. have Fun! :) Patrick Curtin wrote:

Thanks everyone. I thought it went well and the guy doing the interview used to work with one of my references, so hopefully that's a plus as well. Find out early next weeek. :D OK, caught up on PbPs and watched Fnck Me, Ray Bradbury again (I don't think it's gonna get old in a hurry), so I'm off to bed. I actually don't start work early tomorrow (10am instead of 6am) so I'll get an extra hour and a half(ish) sleep which will be nice since I only had 3 hours last night (went to the movies to see Inception, which by the way is actaully as good as everyone says it is). It is the only one I still play with any frequency (every fortnight on the off week from D&D) and I was the inaugral Australaisian Champion (felt good having my name as the first one on the Trophy) :) Jeremy & Mairk tha new Minis set ... I wants the Elder Blue Dragon to sit next to my Iconic Blue, it's awesome! Other than that I'm not overly interested. Everyone I too thought it weird that this Thread simply vanished from the known universe... Everyone I am off to a job interview in about half an hour. It's only IT Help Desk support for 20 hrs/week, but it gets me away from Subway and back into IT which is good. Laters all. Then add in another 1 of that and that's my RPG Novels. Then add another 2 of that and that's all of my other Novels. I have 8 Book cases around the walls my double garage. 4 full size (taller than me) and 5 half size that are pretty much full. This doesn't even cover my cards and board games.Sounds good to me. I still haven't put up a background for Chisora yet (I have the idea, but don't know enough about the setting for a detailed description), so I'll get one done in the next day or so and incorporate Rhiannon into it.
*sigh* I just wrote myself a wonderful big long ranting post about how suckful my non-RPing was last night and had it eaten due to cross posting in a PbP Thread... I might decide to write it again later, but right now I'm too pissed off about what happened with RPing after writing about it that I don't feel like typing it all out again. Suffice to say that my Day today was good with the Kids, Last Night sucked giant donkey balls. :/ Wolfthulhu wrote:
Wow... I'm glad I got mine when it first came out then! I did miss getting the last couple of releases though because money was tight and PF took precedence. I somehow doubt I'll ever manage to get them. :(
