To date I have backed 89 KS Projects since Novemeber 2011.
Of those 89:
4 did not reach their funding goal
1 was cancelled a year after the KS finished (Doom that Came to Atlantic City, only just last week). Money is being offered back, but it could be years if ever I see that money again, although another company has since picked up the game and will be fulfilling pledges out of their own pockets.
1 I had to default on payment to because of a stupid emergency car repair, and so ended up becoming a non-backer (Numenera, and trust me I was not happy about it). :'(
I am still waiting on 1 project from December 2011 (Quantum, but regular updates are happening and it is getting there)
I am waiting on 2 from February 2012 (this one, and one that has been completed and in the hands of US backers for a very long time now, Tephra; he ran out of money to ship international pledges and has been doing it one at a time as his books sell)
I am waiting on 3 from April 2012. One is shipping very soon (Shadow Days), one is still being written but is being worked on (Metamorphosis Alpha) and the other one I have the .pdf for but they ran out of money to print books (Cerulean Seas)
I'm waiting on 4 from May 2012 One is being worked on and I've seen ready copies of the .pdf (Pure Steam), 2 I have no idea on a release date but they are still being worked on, and the fourth is shipping very soon (Colossal Caves).
I'm waiting on 4 from June 2012 2 of which I have .pdfs of and am awaiting the books to be printed then shipped, one is a web series and is in post production now and the last is in the process of being shipped (plus The Doom that Came to Atlantic City was from this month as well).
And I have 2 from July 2012 that I'm waiting on One is at the printers now and the other is still being worked on.

So I have 16 projects that I backed over a year ago that I still don't have products for yet. Some are nearing completion, while others still have a way to go. Am I upset that some are taking longer than expected? A little. Do I care, as long as I gt my product in the end? No.
Basically, Kickstarter is an investment in a company. In return for your investment, said Company is offering you a copy of the product upon its release. Now I like a return on an investment just like you, but I am realistic that not every investment goes how you want it to; stocks go up and down all the time, the housing market crashes and prices drop, etc... I'm not happy when that happens, but as long as when I need it to the return is there then I'm good with that. So if it takes a little longer for that to happen then so be it. I'm not stupid and realise that some people are experienced and some people are new to the KS game. People new to the game tend to have an idea that's not done yet and have unrealistic ideas about things like printing schedules and the like. I don't begrudge them their inexperience as long as I get my product. The ones that already have everything ready to go and are only waiting on printing, or the ones who have done many KS's before and so know about these problems and can factor them into their projected releases dates are the ones that give a lot of people their unrealistic expectations about how long it takes for them to receive their products.
Honestly, from 84 products I have coming to me, I've lost one (and even that might not be a loss after all). Those are pretty good odds, and I just pick projects that appeal to me, not spending time doing in depth research about the creator's ability to have bowel movements and how this affects the projects completion date.

* All Months I give are the month the KS ended, not the expected release date. So some of those may appear to be longer than they actually are (take StSS for example: it's projected completion was August 2012, but it is one of the February 2012 ones since my spreadsheet only tallies when I backed them, not when hey're due to me).

Considering Set was allied with Apep who was always trying to eat the sun, I think more hours in the day rather goes against his intended goals....

Now if you're okay with longer nights, he's probably good for it.

Hey I don't care if it's more night. As long as there are more hours I'm all good...
Works for me. I'm mostly nocturnal as is - or I would be if work allowed it - so I call this a win.

Yeah, my 6am starts at work don't mesh well with my nocturnal nature. Subsequently I tend to subsist on 3-6 hours of sleep a night. Once a week I will extend this out a bit when my body just looks at me in disgust and won't let me go on anymore...

Is there any word yet on the possibility that this might arrive in enough time to ship before the projected 21st of December date (ie. seperately to my Subscription shipment). It is my Birthday/Christmas present from my parents and since they are already annoyed that they won't have anything physical to give me on my actual Birthday (12th Dec) they are gonna be royally pi$$ed that they now don't have anything to physically give me on Christmas Day as well (and with the regular 2 week wait plus Christmas Delays it's now looking like I'm not going to get this until mid to late January).

I must say that asking for that kind of outlay literally a few days before Christmas, especially since the Shattered Star Minis are due out the next month is a massive ask. November was pushing it (it really should have been comissioned a few months earlier so that it hit us midway between the massive dollars of the Rise of the Runelords minis and Christmas) but December is going to be a killer for most people.
Now this doesn't really affect me as much (since my parents are paying for the book itself), but I still have to pay the $100 shipping for it. I would also forsee a number of people cancelling their pre-orders because of its timing and missing out on their .pdf (again this doesn't affect me since I already have the Anniversary .pdf from my order of the actual physical Anniversary hardcover), but I can sympathise with those who it does inconvenience.

My other worry with this estimated ship date is the closeness to Christmas. My orders have gradually been pushed back over the past 6 months so that I often have my stuff shipping on or after the projected "should ship by" date. As an example, November's shipment only just shipped yesterday for me, well into the week after it was projected to have shipped by. All over Facebook I see mesages of Subscribers in the USA already reading their physical copies while I still have yet to get my shipping notification (literally getting it sometimes up to a week after reading those messages). Considering that it takes at least 2 weeks for Subscription shipments to arrive here (I have known non-Subscription orders to take less, but they are few and far between and I've never known a Sub to take less than 2 weeks other than once in the whole time I've been a Subscriber) and the fact that my order might not even leave the warehouse before Christmas the way my orders have been going lately, I honestly have no idea when I might get that shipment (other than my very hopeful estimation of mid to late January). I have previously asked if it is possible for International shipments to be processed first so that everyone will be getting their copies around the same time but it seems that notion has fallen on deaf ears (or my continued asking has been the cause for my gradual bump to further down the line). I have had some issues with the pre-authorisations screwing with the account balance on my Debit Card and slowing the payment down until I can put more funds into the account, but these problems are not my problems (if it was the fact of me not having enough in the account then I can understand that, as I have done in the past) and shouldn't be affecting when my order ships because of something that is out of my control.

You can call me a whinger all you want, but it is really annoying to see so many people already reading their copies when I have to make do with the .pdfs for 2-3 weeks. It is really starting to take the shine off that monthly package arriving when I've already read what I wanted to and moved on, many times not even opening the books when they arrive and simply shelving them.

Just my 2cp, take it however you want... constructive criticism or cry baby whining. :/

Because you did say "I think the biggest difference between theme park PvP and sandbox PvP is the need, in the sandbox to be a part of an organized force". Why should I need to be a part of anything if all I wanna do is meet up with a couple of friends and go on a Quest?
See what I did there?

Of course I see what you did there. But since your game is going to be a Sandbox MMO I only highlighted the part that was relevant to your game. OK, so maybe I will be able to go and do a Quest somewhere with my friends or solo. But as BlackUhuru said, "sure you might get killed by a player for one reason or another just like you will be killed by a Abyssal Paragon or Gold Dragon". Of course there's the chance that I'll get killed going to battle that Abyssal Paragon or that Gold Dragon, but that's my choice to go on that Quest fully knowing the danger. It's not however my choice to be attacked by another group for simply wandering through their territory, or because their Assassin's Guild needs to make their quota. That is not my idea of fun.

I'm not saying don't include PvP as I know that people out there like it. What I am saying is that PvP needs to be kept to areas where it won't affect the gameplay of those of us who don't enjoy it. Have safe areas, let me simply skip to a Quest from the safe areas without the need to wander through some other group's territory, have in game warnings so I know when I've entered a PvP zone so I can backtrack. From your earlier comments it seems clear that every area (save the training area, which you said is only going to be available for a limited time, and Quests/Missions) is going to be available for PvP. Why do I want to be strolling down the street to go to the tavern and get a knife in my back and bleed out in the street while others simply walk past, hands on their swords praying that doesn't happen to them? I don't want to have to join a larger group to get the full benefit of the game, I want to be able to sit down with a couple of my buds from overseas and play a game, since I can't do that IRL, and still be able to get somewhere in the game.

PvP might be fun for some, but isn't fun for all. There needs to be more of a balance than what I'm seeing described.

Is human the best route?

Tiefling would give you a way to write of the appearance of the character without resorting to any outside influences (and give you some nice side benefits).

Human gives you the extra Feat, which is always nice, but requires more exposition and possible GM Fiat to explain his appearance.

IMHO both are viable options and it would come down to which way you and you brother want to go with the character build.

The Bases may cost cents to produce, but including them in the box means that the size of the box has to double in height. This will add quite a bit to the cost of the product, since boxes are a costly way of packaging. They are trying to keep the cost of the product down for the consumer.

FuelDrop was pretty spot on. I'll give my own thoughts coming from a non-capital city (although as far as it goes we're actually bigger than a couple of them). Some things will differ slightly here from say Sydney (even though here in Newcastle it's our closest major city), but there will also be slight differences from state to state (for instance Woolworths is called Safeway in Victoria).

1. What stores do you have? To be specific, I'd like to know what grocery stores/supermarkets, chain restaurants, gas stations, hardware stores, and such you all shop at, and what your opinions on different companies are.
Grocery Stores: Woolworths is Australia's largest chain, altohugh Coles isn't far behind. IGA is a whole heap of independently owned supermarkets who basically banded together under one name to thry to fight the big boys. Aldi (a German company) is also gaining a lot of popularity for its cheap but quality items.
As far as department stores go, we have Big W (Woolworths), Target and K-Mart (Coles). David Jones and Myer are upmarkety department stores whose prices are generally much higher for similar (if not the same) products as the lesser ones (such as toys, books & CD/DVDs), although they do keep more high end stuff in other areas such as fashion and make-up.
Restaurants: McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Subway. Mostly American chains hold power here. Your Hungry Jacks is called Burger King out here but it is nowhere near as popular as Maccas. A few Australian ones are Eagle Boys (Pizza) and Henny Penny (Chicken, although it is very region specific).
Petrol Stations: Caltex, Shell, BP, Mobil (although most if not all Mobils in our area have now been converted to 7-11's). They also do deals with Supermarkets for cheap fuel discounts (Woolworths with Caltex and Coles with Shell) eg. Spend $30 at the Supermarket and get 2c/litre off your petrol.
Harware Stores: Bunnings is probably the biggest (owned by Coles) and then Mitre 10.

2. What product brands are popular? What are your opinions on different brand names?
There is a lot of diversity here and many names spread over differnet product categories. To list it would take me a very long time, sorry. :(

3. Could I get a layman's description of gun laws, how easy it is to get a gun, how many people have guns, and an overview of gun politics? I respectfully request that this question does not turn into a debate on these laws.
Police and Private Security have access to firearms, although automatic weaponry is pretty much exclusive to the military and crack police units.
You need a licence to own a gun (and you need a good reason for it) and they can only be used under cetain conditions eg. gun ranges or farms for wildlife control.

4. What animals do you commonly see? For example, I know kangaroos are common in Australia, but how often do you actually see them?
Domestic animals are the most common. Native wildlife is rare in cities other than on the ourskirts or suburbs with large sections of bushland within them. You do see a fair number of native birds though (Cockatoos being quite a common sight feeding on the side of the road).
Kangaroos (at least the big red ones you associate with a the image of a Kangaroo) are mainly confined to the non-coastal reagions of Australia.

5. What foods are uniquely Australian? What do Australians in general often eat and drink? What brands of alcohol are popular?
Food & Drink: Vegemite is obviously our most Iconic food and we do eat a fair bit of it. Tim Tams are probably our next most poular food that is uniquly ours. Other than that, a great deal of our food is just specific Australian brands of regular foods (Fountain Tomato Sauce, Smiths Chips, etc...) As far as drinks go, ther is nothing particularly Australian (although we do drink a lot more Ginger Beer than I have seen being consumed overseas). Brands like Coke and Pepsi and their various sub-brands) pretty much rule here. We did have Schweppes as our own (and it's still popular) but is is now owned by Pepsi, so it blankets under that brand.
Alcohol: We have a lot of Beer brands available, although the one you most associate with us (Fosters) isn't really well like here. Tooheys and Victoria Bitter are the most popular in this area (although I know South Austraia and Western Australia have their own brands), but VB obviously outsells Tooheys in Victoria. The Queensland brand of XXXX is also common here but is much more heavily drunk in Queensland (obviously).
Crown Lager and James Boags are popular high end beers here as well.
Bundaberg Rum is our most well known spirit. Most others are only minor brands and pale in comparison to the big ones (Jim Beam, Smirnoff, etc...)

6. What is your opinion of the Australian military? Police forces? Government?
No real opinion as such. They do their jobs well and have no more scandals (and in most cases less) than other countries. Of course in saying that, Government still act like the childish playgrounders that they do in other countries...

7. What do you watch on TV?
Mostly American shows, although there are a few good Aussie shows that have a large following (large by our standards, not yours... if a show rates between 1 and 2 millon viewers here it is a hit, if it got that many viewers in the US it would be cancelled in a heartbeat!).
Underbelly is the standout from the last 5 years, although a number of others are very popular too (Spicks & Speck, Offspring, the Chasers to name a few)

8. What are your opinions on some other nations? I'm especially interested in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, South Africa, and New Zealand.
Generally speaking, opinions are good for all of them, although as in any culture you have your naysayers and haters. As a very multi-cultural society, there are racial issues and although they can get way out of hand, they are generally few and far between.

9. Can you describe Australia's relationship with New Zealand in layman's terms, or is it as complicated as I've sometimes heard?
It's a sort of love/hate relationship. As far as geeral relations go, there are no problems except some friendly ribbing and competition. If you look at sport on the other hand...

10. How many Australians are anti-immigrant? How vocal are they?
Generally they are in the minority but as with all minorities they are usually the most vocal...

11. What public transportation do you have? How often do you use it?
Buses, Trains and in some areas Ferries.
I never use it anymore (although I used to a lot when I was younger).
Buses are generally on time but fluctualte in their popularity at times.
Trains are often late and have been plagued by dramas over the last 10 years. That being said, a lot of people use them because of commutes to and from work (there are a fair number of people who live in Newcastle but work in Sydney as pay is higher in Sydney, but cost of living is lower in Newcastle).
There a re no issues with Ferries as far as I am aware.

12. What is the weather usually like where you live? How is it in other areas of the country?
Hot in Summer, cold in winter (although no snow).
As you go north, temperatures rise (like in Queensland, where a cold winters day is a moderately warm day here).
As you go south, temperatures drop (5 hours south of us are mountains and Australia's ski fields). Victoria is known for its wetter conditions, although I think that a lot of that is just myth and they're probably only slightly wetter than anywhere else).

13. How much do you know about aboriginal peoples? How often do they appear in media?
No more or less than the average person.
Occasionally, but not too often.

14. What sorts of clothing do you usually wear?
Shorts and T-Shirts in summer.
Jeans/Long Pants and T-Shirts with Jackets in winter.

15. Do you often go into the Outback? Do many Australians?
No. I live on the coast, so that's a loooong trip for me.
I don't think there a re large numbers of Australinas who do, although it is certainly a stop over for anyone doing a 'round Australia Tour.

16. What model cars are popular?
Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon rule the roost here.
There are a lot of common models getting around the streets here though, but smaller 4x4s are quite popular. Utes are also popular, alshough more so in the country as farm vehicles and in the mining sector.

17. About how much crime do you have, and what sorts of crime is it?
Crime is alvays present, although nowhere near the levels of countries like the US.
There is a lot of small stuff (B&E, Assault, etc...) Not a lot of armed robbery though.
Gang related incidents are commonish (Bikies, Drug Rings, Organised Crime, etc...)
Murder is actually not too bad here, altohugh of course it is present, it is more non-lethal violence that holds sway.
Drugs are also a big part of the underworld scene.

18. What music is popular? What musicians are from Australia?
Similar tastes to other western countries.
Some notable (for sheer popularity or for other reasons such as cult status or quirkiness) Australian bands and artists over the last 20 years have been:
AC/DC
INXS
Crowded House
Hunters & Collectors
Hoodoo Gurus
John Farnham
Cold Chisel
Powderfinger
Midnight Oil
John Butler Trio
Eskimo Joe
Pete Murray
Sneaky Sound System
Kate Miller-Heidke
and so many many more that I'm forgetting right now! :)

Phew! That took me an hour and a half to compile... way longer than I was expecting, but happy to help. :D

I know you don't want strictly Japanese, but the Domain of Rokushima Taiyoo could at least be a good start for you. There is also the Indian realm of Sri Raji as well if you want to go as far West Asian as that. :)

There is also the quite awesome dark setting of Kaidan that you can mine for ideas as well. :)

Now, we might release the original version someday when we form Evil Genius Games...

Can I ask what is stopping you from releasing the non-censored version without the Pathfinder Logo?

I've already purchased it, but if it were offered as a non-censored version as well then I would most probably still buy that one too.

You could even charge more for it (say $7.99) because it has "adult content" in it. I can't see this affecting your sales at all, since you would actually get some increased money from the people who are willing to buy the adult version. Those people would have bought the regular version anyway and as it's a .pdf it's not like it's taking away from printed copies.

Just food for thought...
