Nah, I've met his lovely family who have visitied from there, (and boy do they have funny names, Yuna, Ganon, Cathal, and lest we forget his cousin Judith the welsh tart). But never been there...... yet.
Oi! Stop having a go at the Welsh or I'll burn your house down! ;-)
And as for Glasgow v Cambridge... Think you'll be able to understand anyone? Try watching Rab C. Nesbitt!!
Hi guys and gals! Items are selling steadily, but the pace has dropped off a bit. There's still lots available!
Thanks to all of you from here who have bought items from me. The only ebay username I recognised this time is Crazy Cat, and I'm glad that you're so happy with the books! :-) [Thumbs up]
Cheers, man!
As an aside, I believe that that fellow named Eric was very pleased, thank you! ;-)
A bigger question is selling my Dragon mags (over 300 issues). I'll almost certainly be moving later this year, and there's no way I can post them to a buyer- just deliver within say 100 miles of where I live by car. Of course, someone from outside that radius could easily meet me at a service station within that radius if they wanted to (the same goes for my Dungeon mags).
... but if I can't sell my Dragon mags before I move, then into the tip they'll have to go*, which will be a bit of a shame as they represent 25 years of gaming history, but I won't take them with me when I do move. Fortunately, the Dungeon mags are- just about!- postable so should be more likely to sell.
* Unless some rich person wants to pay me so that I can give them to some lucky UK chap or chappette, should there be no UK buyer.
So I've had a go at designing two level 20 eidolons, built for dealing damage. I doubt they’d be very durable, however! Maybe sacrificing a bit of offence for a little defense would be wise!
I left magic items, skills, and remaining feats for others to fill in!
Level 20 Red Snapper:
The red snapper stands tall as a huge red-scaled giant complete with eight arms, all of which end in pincers. Slice and dice!
I know it's a large collection, but I can't see me using them or reading them anymore, and would like them to go to a good home. Note that I'm not interested in breaking the lot up.
Edit: I live in the UK, so be aware in case you live outside Europe!
I've had a look over the Summoner class now, and I think it's a fun looking class. The eidolon idea really appeals? Are there any threads where people have put together their own ideas for them, and if not, maybe this thread could be used to list ideas for eidolon concepts.
The only reason I would get a time machine would be to go back and stop a younger me lending a certain female someone some money. She subsequently wanted to pay me back in kind, but I preferred the cash. After all, why pay for what I was getting for free? She didn't see it like like, so no sex and no money. Lousy investment that was.
We should totally go back in time... like twenty of us... and when she asks you for money we'll all jump out from closets laughing at her and pointing the finger of ridicule. Once the shock wears off we'll show her a bit of future technology, explain we're from 2010, and that in the future it's well known that she never pays anyone back. Long way to go for justice, but it would be fun.
Just gotta pick up that Sports Almanac and give it to a younger me...
I'm not sure which corner of the room they ended up in, but I certainly obtained copies of menus for both the campus pubs for the convention last year. I can certainly attempt to do the same again this year.
Of the two pubs, the nearer one (Sack of Potatoes?) was awful. The other pub was MUCH nicer!
Another thought I just had. With adventure paths/campaigns, there is an overall story which the players will discover as they run through them. Sometimes the story (ie. adventures) may railroad the characters, but they should trust you and play along so that they experience the story in full.
If your players don't like the idea that the story may occasionally railroad them, APs may not be for them.
Oh, and also remind them that they don't necessarily have to fight everything. Paizo APs include plenty of opportunities for roleplaying encounters, too!
There are threads around discussing the merits of each AP versus others, which should guide you as to what AP you want to try running.
They're definitely worth reading. I particularly like the spymaster character, and his opposites.
At the start of the 00's, one colleague at the time was reading them and thought that Mara was "too lucky", so if that might irritate you, be aware of it.
I like the series though.
The books parallel the first Riftwar trilogy, but it is not necessary to have read them, although the first trilogy is worth reading too.
Amazing coincidence. I tried calling a friend earlier today, but didn't leave a message. An hour or two later the friend calls me saying that we've not spoken for a while, and didn't know that I'd called earlier!
Chris, I actually liked Frostburn, although the other books in the series didn't do anything for me. (Oh, there were a few good ideas in the desert book, but not that much.)
The (UK) Royal Mail and Spanish postal service really excelled themselves. I posted something at 4.30 pm on Tuesday to Barcelona, and received feedback from the recipient by lunchtime today. Talk about speedy!
Maybe this is more "interesting" than "good". My aunt has become a fan of family history in the last couple of years.
She discovered on the weekend that one of our ancestors was a squire to Henry VII (Henry Tudor)!
Bin bags that are so bloody thin they start tearing as soon as you lift the bag out of the (kitchen) bin, and do the same when you try tying the damn drawstring. They may be cheaper to make, but if they don't do the job what's the point?
After the convention next week I'll start working on this. Suggestions for threats, bribes, etc to get a Paizo contingent in the UK should be sent to me.
Just tell Erik I have THAT picture of him. He'll know what I'm talking about and will be eager to visit... ;-)
So someone's invited me to be their friend [on Facebook]. I looked at their page to see if it was one of you lot, but they don't mention gaming, and don't have any other Facebook friends listed. The name doesn't mean anything to me. (It just says that she's back from New Zealand and looking for friends.)
Fraudster or worth accepting? I'm wary of random people inviting me to accept.
