As the subject says. I've not been able to access Skype for a couple of hours, nor their website. Anyone else having this problem?
Series 3 is underway, and one episode has Wil Wheaton...
Arakhor wrote: In fairness to Achilles, I believe the arrow was poisoned and when Paris loosed the arrow, Apollo (god of archery) was guiding the arrow. Sounds right, because Achilles had been guilty of hubris because he dragged someone's (Hector?) corpse on a chariot all day, IIRC.
Just stop thinking you have to collect everything. Think about whether you really need it first, or if it's just something you want to read for fun once.
I wasn't sure where to put this, but one of my friends has created a website with his prose, poems, and song lyrics.
www.leobasil.com (or try www.leobasil.co.uk if that doesn't work)
My favourite is The Last Page, a Cthuluesque short-story in The Crawling section of prose.
Jonathon Ross (for those who don't know, an overpaid, obnoxious t*** in the UK) won't be on the BBC after July! :-) F*** YEAH!
Almost as good, Frankie Boyle (another obnoxious t***) won't be on Mock The Week anymore; now it'll be watchable! :-)
Finally, someone at the BBC is showing sense.
Regarding the victory lap, in the scene with Donna that church was my family church when I grew up- so it was cool to see that!
I've finished it! Good read, but we have to wait a year for the next book! :-/
I'm halfway through book 12, now. The chapter called looks ominous, as the named individual is an interesting character.
A question for anyone who's thought about it: Why does I'd suggest replying by spoiler.
It's funny, Guy, but I loathe Nynaeve as a character.
A Gathering Storm, book 12 of the Wheel of Time.
Valegrim wrote: Everyone I met, and I went all over, was just so nice; so polite; full of smiles and so kicked back; awesome. Obviously you didn't meet Sebastian out there! ;-)
(I'm glad you had a good time!)
I've just watched this (yes, I know it's been out for years!). What a great, fun film!
Duh, that should be bracers of armor, not bracers of defense (brainfart!).
Chris P wrote: The no armor can be rough even once she gets Barkskin. Although there may be someone in the party to give her Mage Armor. There shouldn't be problem with Barkskin or Mage Armor or Bracers of Defense, either, since none of these are actual armor.
He formed a prog-rock supergroup and has written several concept albums about it.
There's this variant from the d20srd:
Druid
The druid might choose to give up her wild shape ability in exchange for becoming a swift and deadly hunter.
Gain
Bonus to Armor Class when unarmored (as monk, including Wisdom bonus to AC), fast movement (as monk), favored enemy (as ranger), swift tracker (as ranger), Track feat (as ranger).
Lose
Armor and shield proficiency, wild shape (all versions).
I didn't want to distract James Jacobs' thread, so I'm starting this one.
"Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away."
"Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony."
(EDIT: Got the quotes from IMDB!)
Christmas markets. Gotta love the smell of cooking meat, gluwein, cheeses, etc!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

Oh, you said pizazz, not PIZZAS. Sorry. ;-)
I spent the afternoon with my sister, who's in Manchester today to see Depeche Mode with her husband this evening. I can't think of the last time the two of us spent time together without anyone else present. It was a pleasant afternoon- despite the cold temperature!

I hope that's not the case, and you actually did well.
Thanks, Taig! :-)
Unfortunately, I think I flubbed [the exam]. :-(

I sat my exam this morning, meaning I can relax for a bit! :-) Yeah!
W E Ray wrote: What does a Cleric need with a Mage book, anyway? Aaah... little do ye know, but I've had secret training as a Conjurer, and in mystic theurge too! Now I'm a cleric3/conjurer3/mystic theurge7, with wands of divine power and black tentacles, and the (Complete Warrior) Arcane Strike feat! All evildoers shall fall before the priest of Bro'ken! Mwahahahaha!
:p
Just one day to go (more or less), now!

Chris Mortika wrote: Eric, would you be kind enough to contact me at ... ?
Of course!
I've been feeling depressed the latter half of today. :-( Maybe I'm just stressed about my upcoming exam, or maybe not.
I need some fun in my life, but I just feel so bloody lonely.
W E Ray wrote: I just placed bids on a good handful of D&D stuff -- and sent you a message about shipping to the US. You can contact me via e-mail.
PS: good taste in music for the most part.
PPS: GO Arsenal!
Thanks, man!
PS: Some of those CDs were gifts.
Wicht wrote: Some very nice stuff. It is unfortunate (for me) that its all located in the UK otherwise I might have had a go at a couple of those modules. Where are you, Wicht? Send me a message on ebay with a list of what you're interested in and I can give you an approximate shipping cost!
Hi all.
I listed 580 items on ebay yesterday, most of which are AD&D 1e, 2e, & 3.x and non-TSR games. The auctions end on Sunday the 13th December.
Here’s a link to the items:
Please take a look- there might be something you like!
I’d suggest you look at 200 items/page, rather than 50/page!
Hey, R, let me lighten your burden of possessions so you can concentrate on finding true happiness.
I'll pay the postage if you send me your OD&D woodgrain. It is old, after all, and I doubt you've read it in a long time! Think how much better you'll feel, knowing how much I've helped you!
:p
Tarren Dei wrote: Enter and have fun. (Just wish I could enter again! It was such a blast last year.) Can you not enter, Tarren? At least you can support your son if he enters!
Geez, it's that time of year again?!?
How the time has flown this year!
Good luck to those who enter!

BSSB wrote: How much do most gamers actually collect? Do you keep your old books? How many lines of games do you follow? I have way too much stuff which I’ve kept until now. I followed lots of lines.
I’ve gradually been selling stuff on ebay since August. I’d love to get rid of all the RPG-related stuff (excluding some Pathfinder books), as I don’t want the old items any more. They take up too much space and I want to move on.
I’ll be posting in the Gamer Life sub-forum when I next list the items, if that helps you. I’ll be listing close to 500 gaming-related items and 93 CDs.
BSSB wrote: One more question...how the heck do market prices get set for OOP rpg books? Well I consider Amazon prices to be nuts. Occasionally you might find a good price, but that’s rare.
When pricing my items, I did a lot of research, by looking at various shops (Noble Knight, Troll & Toad, etc) and ebay prices. Some things have sold; most haven’t so far, but may be because nobody’s seen the items yet, or they don’t want to pay my minimum prices.
Ekeebe, that's brilliant. Thanks for the laughs! :-) I like the Miracle one best.
Just a couple of hours now...
Thanks to anyone who has already bid on items, or who will bid on them. Incredibly, there's lots of AD&D stuff that hasn't been bid on yet. As Chris Mortika pointed out earlier in this thread, you can't get (legal) PDFs of these items now...
Just over one day left before the auctions start ending...

Congrats, HD, James, and EMS.
Here's another Good Thing: bubblewrap. Can anyone resist it?
Thanks, Lilith. That's one of the games I'm selling on ebay, and that question was just asked. I'll provide that answer. Thanks again. :-)
Would the PC version of Final Fantasy 8 run on a Vista computer, or would it need a patch? Anyone know?
Thanks for the tip, Chris. You've already done so here (mentioned the lack of PDFs).
The thing is, because I didn't realise until later in the day that the automatic fee calculator prevented me from uploading earlier (via Turbo Lister), I only listed half of what I wanted to! (It was a free listing day.)
