I seems that 4E edition monster design is more easy and balanced. That's a think I like. But makes me wonder if all that lineal progression issues (it seems that everthing is scaled to 1/2 level) will kill the advancement sensation.
I mean. ¿Will this rules make playing at level 1 feel the same that playing in level 10 but scaled?

I think most people here recognize Paizo as being a great company with some of the best products in the business.

I know. But seeing the last 4E threads I thought that it was the moment to say it more explicitly.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

First of all I'll apologize in advance for my bad english.
For me Paizo is the RPG publisher that is making the best products today.
I'm seeing things of 4E that I like and other that I don't like. I'm not here to argue if one edition is better than another.
I don't believe that Paizo's quality depends on which system they use.
So, I will support Paizo as far as they continue producing high quality adventures and supplements. I don't care if they are in 4E or 3.x or in other system.
I strongly believe that they will make their choice looking to all the facts: Company covinience, customer opinion, quality requierements, and so on. I hope they make such choice that allow me to keep buying their outstanding products for a long, long time.
I understand also to all these 4E edition lovers and haters that want Paizo to decide for their selected system because they also know that this system will have the best products. I only hope that this "edition war" don't force my favourite company to take a wrong decision.
They must look carefully to the new GSL, the new system, the state of the market and take the choice that allow them to carry on with the best RPG products ever.

Go On Paizo. You have all my support!

You could give another title for Supersubscriber + Planet Stories.
Something like Paizo SuperSupporter.

Oresolve hit rolls on area of affect spells (one roll per target on an AE?)

But in 3.5 you had to make a Save Roll for every target.

I've been reading this thread and the document. From this document I infer that between encounters must be a "short rest" that lasts five minutes or more.
So the poison could work as usual.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Is this AP still 3.5 compliant? I see it mentions OGL...

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

I change the order of the questions.
1) Will you still purchase Paizo products: Yes, with no doubt.

2) Do you convert to 4th edition D&D if Paizo does?: Of course, I will.

3) Do you convet to 4th edition D&D if Paizo does?: I won't.

Since I like most to read and play published adventures and campaigns, and Paizo ones are the best since Dungeon, the system I chose will be the same of Paizo. For me the rulesystem is secondary. I'll stick with the publisher that products the products I like most. For now this publisher is Paizo.

I know that they are three healers, but at first level the haven't enough money to buy enough healing gear.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

I'm wondering if the new iconics will be able to survive the begining of this Adventure Path.
They haven't cleric nor druid, who will heal them at first level?

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Now we just need to see a gnome.

PC Name: Amphortas (male cleric of St. Cuthbert 10)
Adventure: Champion's belt
Location of Death: Temple of Kyuss
Catalyst: Necklace of fireball inside Ulgurstasta's stomach.
Long Description: Amphortas was swallowed by the Ulgurstasta. Seeing near his death near inside the monster's stomach, he decided to use one of the beads of his necklace of fireball. He didn't realize that this actio would trigger the explosion of all the remaining beads.
The chain reaction of 90 Hit Points, (and the failed spell resistance of the monster) made the ulgustasta explode and killed the brave cleric.
His companions are decided to pay him a true resurrection to show him their gratitude for his heroic sacrifice.

If you see they are very curious about this fact, make Ilsoari tell another silly and false theories about Varisia or Sandpoint.

My option will be d)
I usually play published campaigns, so, I'll use the system of the campaign uses.
APs 1,2,3 y Pathfinder 1,2 will be played in 3.5
I'll buy 4.0 and play it when I have enough material to use it.

Me too. From Spain.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Sadly I haven't received it yet. :_(

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

What a pity. Paying book + shipping makes the subscription very expensive for Europe.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Because I didn't give him permission to use the owlbear statistics. This method fits better because he can say he is using an owlbear, but the statistics are legal.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Yes. It spoils some of the most climatic moments from Shackled City: The xxxxxxxxxxx of xxxxxxxxx.
The events in the Age of Worms happen after those of the Shackled City. Some of the things that happen in The Shackled City are involved in the Age of Worms.

That's it, it would be as if the druid changes from animal companion.
It would age normally untill he druid reaches the proper level to change it to the next stage.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

One of my players has proposed me a way to use the owlbear in the land farm as an animal companion.
He has proposed to use a chain of statistics of legal animal companions:
badger->black bear -> brown bear -> polar bear -> dire bear

¿What do you think?

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Hi.
Do you know when will be available Savage Tide Player's Guide for download?
I'm from Spain and I can't order it because the cost of the shipping would be more expensive than the price of the book.
Thanks.

That was awesome.
What a twist!

Hey! This was an idea that I had for a campaing. Somthing like Illithid-matrix. A plot like matrix but in my case the humanity is food for Illithids, that have conquered the world and use powerfull psionics and magic to keep humanoid brains alive while they use them as cattle.

There is a house rule for identifying magic items using spellcraft in a Wizards article:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sg/20051125a

I hope it should be usefull.

I haven't carefully read it, yes, only 17 levels of sorcerer, so no wish....

That happened to me. I read the tactics section an saw this, and I supposed he could have the resources to make such spell. But when I read it more carefully is seemed that he can't do that.

Or maybe it's an error in the spelling, something that was removed for the printing.

So. I assume He uses greater teleports instead.

Excuse me for my ignorance, but how can he wish it?

I don't see in his statistitics that he has a wish o limited wish spell. Am I missing something? Thank you in advance.

Hi. I've been reading the section of tactics of Dragotha and it states that he uses plane shift to escape if he is below 100 HP. Looking in Dragotha statistics I didn't see that spell in his spell list, spell-like abilites nor in his magic items.
How can he plane shift? or is this a mistakes and should say greater teleport?

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Hi!.
How did you managed the underwater section on WC?.
I'm worried about our Goliat wizard entering the water with his spellbook. How would you manage this situation?.
They haven't arrived yet to Laborer's section, but I'm anticipating this situation.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Thats right. The lanterns reset is each year, i didn't realize (luckily for me, because it could be a problem). But the traps and sarcophagus reset each week, so the hint remains valid.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

I don't remember very well. But in the adventure they say that the the tomb resets itselt periodically, including replacing any lantern that abandon the tomb. (So it can be a unlimited source of money, each lantern has a 50 gp price)

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

My party played last friday their first Age of Worms game.
They've acted in the False Tomb as if they were the order of the stick....
They were a goliat wizard, a cleric o st. Cuthbert, a rogue and a fighter.
The wizard suggested them to move the tomb, so they released the first elevator. The rogue and the warrior went down, and when it was the turn of the wizard to enter, he propossed to the cleric to move again the tomb. Then they tried to undo, but the other elevator broke. Before the beetles and the slasher arrived they managed to move the tomb till they raised the trap elevator. Then arrived the monsters, so the wizard entered the elevator (ignoring the crushed bones). Luckily he suffered few damage.
Seeing they couldn't win the battle they retired.

They needed two days to beat the monsters!!! So the other began starvating. When the others were released the wanted to kill them.

But we stopped the session there.
